The problem is that at the tablet the battery lost a charge and because of it there was a failure in its work and it got to sdcard mode. Now the battery has no enough charge and therefore electronics of the tablet doesn't work correctly - not possibly to charge the battery and it isn't possible to turn on the tablet. The correct solution - to provide a battery charge above of minimum admissible level. But as electronics of the tablet doesn't work correctly, also the battery charge isn't possible. For a solution, it is necessary to disassemble the tablet, to switch-off the battery, to connect the charger and when on the screen to appear drawing of the battery then to connect the battery. After that the battery will accept a charge well and you will be able then to turn on the tablet after the battery is charged.
Here is the original post with solution for the same Tab, but with a screen 8.4 (Russian language):

I read in another forum about reset the battery, I waited the battery to drain empty and connected the charger and pressed power + Vol.Up + Vol.Up and it came alive again!

Anyways, I thank you for your help!

Hi. Im Scared of sdcard Mode. Do i need to let the battery drain at all, then connect tablet with charger and then power+vol.up+home?
What will happen?
Will it boot to system, to recovery or it will charge like normal and then boot like normal?
Please answer me

Let the battery completely drain then plug in charger wait for around 5mins then it should boot.

Porcelana my t900 got stuck in sdcard mode today. I found this thread, followed your directions and it worked like a charm.
I have no idea what sdcard mode is.
Thanks

It was probably unnecessary to disassemble the tablet.
Simply letting the battery discharge until it turns off usually suffices.

this has happened to my tablet 4 or 5 times now. it does work but if I leave my tablet for a little while it does it again and again. do I need a new battery? I can't figure out how to open it either. I don't want to break it.

4/5 times? I think you should refresh your tablet and flash the stock firmware.
It's happened to me just the once.

Hi, I just bought a used galaxy tab s 10.5 and the battery jump from 20 to 99% in 20 minutes when charging . I started using it at 100% and it shuted down for low battery in 30minutes and I power it on again a it said 75%. How do you thinks is going on with the tablet? Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
Do you know if it's rooted and has a custom recovery. Clear cache and fix permissions in recovery mode
No root
It is not rooted and it have stock recovery. Is there an app to reset battery stats?

try booting stock recovery and do a factory reset.if that don't work than look into rooting it and TWRP so you'll have the option to flash something else or clear the cache and fix permissions
done
I did the factory reset and the permissions fix thrught TWRP but the battery still crazy. What more can I do?
I got the tablet down to 0% battery, to the point that it wouldn't turn on.
Took off the back cover using prying tools and then disconnected the battery, power cycled thrice by holding and releasing power button and then reconnected the battery and let it charge overnight to 100% and now battery life is amazing, don't have those drastic drops anymore.
There are no warranty stickers torn etc involved with doing this so you don't have to worry about voiding it. Just take your time and start at the microsd slot, open the hatch and work your way around slowly. Its difficult first time around because there is adhesive glue as well as clips holding it down. But still very doable without damaging anything.
Here is a link to a battery calibrator for root users
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vitula.batterycalibration
There are other calibration apps
Definitely other options before taking it apart [emoji111]
..
I tried with the battery calibration app and nothing. I leave you a screenshot , thats is WHITHOUT any charge, when it shuted out I just turn it on again. What is indexservice?
OK after ready the links below I believe a debloated ROM could solve your problem

I will try a debloated rom because son process called index service is draining the 60% of my battery, but is rare that the tablet shuted down and when I tried to turn in on and it shuted down immediately for low battery, but and enter in recovery mode and leave it on with max brightness and it stay awake for 4 hours!! Even when twrp said that is has only 1%.

Post back to let us know it is after a ROM flash
Can you post a full screenshot of your battery settings. You just posted the graph. Not sure about the index service, but knox drains battery too.
Had the same issue crop up on mine. Did the the battery 0% drain then recharge a few times. And factory format. Now it just randomly keeps restarting (even when on charge now). Called Samsung and they have sent a pack to post it to them to sort I hope.
Now with the debloated rom the crazy battery drops have stop but I'm having random restarts. What's is happening now?
I know it's a lot of work and getting frustrating but let's try Odin back to stock .

[Q] Tab S 8.4 wifi only TM700 issue (my fat fingering)

Tried to hard reset to see if would help battery issue, turning itself off then on, fluctuating battery % left, etc.
Fat fingered vol control down instead of up. Sitting for hours with screen saying downloading... don't turn off.
Can't get it to do anything.
Is it a paper weight now, or can it be recovered somehow? Can I put a stock tm700 rom on a card and get ti to do something? Or is there a way to root and put new rom on?
Any and all help appreciated. I am an old retired guy and not up on all these tricks with tablets and phones. Did read where hard reset seemed to fix someones battery issues. and found how to do the reset. Unfortunately, I didn't get it right.
Wait so your in download mode? Cant understand the fat fingered part.. To exit download mode just hold home, vol down and home at the same time for 1 minute. It should either tun off or reboot. Hope this helps.
Thanks, that turned it off. Needs recharge now. Battery goes all over the place; 97% then 65%, the 75%, then 15%. Need to call Samsung and send it in.
Yep the battery most likely is deffective. Glad it helped!

Phone just died on me

My phone was around 40% charged and I turned it off by the on/off button. It then failed to turn back on and even when I connect a charger now there is no charging light, nor can I turn it on by the button whilst connected to the charger.
I had installed a new firmware yesterday, Lollipop 5, it's been running great and I was still configuring it when this happened.
Please can anyone help with this and give me any ideas what to do.
Thanks in advance.

The standard routine is to plug the phone into the wall charger
wait 15 min, then hold volume up and the power button for around 10 seconds. this is the equivalent of a battery pull. the phone should boot up now
Thanks for that,I'll give it a go and let you know how I get on.
What causes this issue with the phone. Going from around 40% to absolutely dead just by turning it off? It's a very strange thing.
Worked fine, all back up and running now.
Cheers.

[Q] Battery empty over night while switched off

I had this 2 times this week. I switch it (SM-T705) off in the evening at 100%. On the next day battery completely drained.
On the 1st time (battery=0%) I even could not switch it on - had to press POWER+VOLDOWN+HOME. The 2nd time it started normal (8% rest).
Battery monitor app said, no data for 12 hours (during the night = as it was switched off)
I use SkyHigh ROM+Kernel (4.4), Xposed, Wanam (incl. soft reboot menue,...), Greenify. As a first measure I uninstalled Greenify and disabled Wanam.
I found several post on the web regarding this issue, but no real conclusion. Any idea to get closer to the problem would be very welcome !
Have you tried Watchdog, it will sound an alarm if any apps use above a certain cpu usage, this will find any power sucking apps, go in to the settings and set it to monitor all phone processes.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zomut.watchdoglite&hl=en
Have a look at the thread below, and install the latest version of the app, this will alow you to see what apps or process are keeping your tablet from going into power saving deep sleep.

John.
Greenify doesn't really do anything that android doesn't already do itself. Its just another app running in the background. How are you powering off the tablet?

This is sure caused by kernal wake locks.
Why don't you try "better battery status" app and find out what it is draining your battery juice and

Some times I face a similar problem like when you reboot your phone battery reading suddenly drops from say 80%-62%.
And every time when it happens i do this...
#Switch it OFF
#Connect it to the charger cable and wait for the reading to show. You will see the actual reading. (some value closer to 80% )
#switch it ON without disconnecting charger cable.
and I get this funny smile on my face
Try it and let me know if it helps.
Thread cleaned, guys lets please keep things on topic.

I'm having a similar (?Battery?) Problem
I didn't use my Tab S for a couple days (unplugged but OFF) and when I went to go use it...... it was (& still IS) totally "DEAD". It hasn't responded to anything I've tried so far.......
~~ Hold [POWER ] button for over a min
~~ Hold [POWER] & [VOL DOWN] together (This worked one OTHER time, not THIS time though)
~~ Hold [POWER] + [VOL-UP] + [HOME] together (Like the "Wipe Cache Partition" sequence)
I heard that there is somekind of "glitch", that if the battery(ies) drop below 3V, it won't take a charge anylonger..... well ACTUALLY, it won't RECEIVE a charge from the Tablet anymore.
(From this YouTube Video....)
"Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 doesn't turn on fix" ~ Chester Lowrey
He pulled off the back and "tapped into" the battery connections with a decently rigged up charger. Charged it up past the 3V "min level" and it started working again.
Has ANYBODY heard of this issue or problem??? And IF SO....... any other SOLUTIONS?? (I HAVE searched but haven't found anything about this in XDA......YET)
My Tab is totally DEAD and I really want to avoid sending it in for warranty repairs. Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED!
Thanks, Joe (This is my first post here so I HOPE I'm in the right "place")

Whooooooops, that was a huge derp on my part! Dunno what I was thinking there, sorry.
The battery protection might have kicked-in it disconnects the battery when the battery voltage drop too low, normally between 2.5-3volts per cell, and you need an charger that can reset the battery to make it work again, I dont know if Samsung has some sort of procedure to do this, I have heard of another Tab S owner who had an dead tablet like this, he took it to an phone/tablet repair shop and he says they connected an box to the tablet and it started straight away.
Have you tried the procedure below, it is slightley different to what you have tried before, if it does not work, try connecting the Samsung charger and try again.
1) connect the tab to PC
2) press Home, Vol Down and Power simultaneously up to a screen appears;
3) press Vol Down to cancel and reboot the tablet.
Also read the link below, and give the bump charging a go.

I read a few posts (I think HERE) talking about bad/loose battery CONNECTORS.
I've had the same problem. Heavy drain, battery discharged when power off, slow or fast charging time. This morning, when i tried to disconnect the battery, the connector just came away from the board!! It is really really bad soldered, resoldered by myself now seems to be working! Before soldering 50%batt,after 60%,used a lot today with chrome, youtube, twitter, display on just to check, now i'm with 22%
Edit : After about 9hours from repair it's fully discharged. No drain when in idle

Seems there is a bug. When you power off and connect the watch to charge it, it starts the charging screen. If you start the device connected and with this screen, enter in a loop black screen draining battery. Until the battery is not at 0% the watch don't start.
I can confirm there is some kind of bug when you are charging your SW3, I did as you said and worked for me. now my SW3 is working again! thanks!
