Someone please help me I have downloaded this rom and flashed the radio and also the mod for the phone just rebooting. For some reason the phone does keep rebooting and then when I go into the camera it says that the camera has failed. Then sometimes after the phone reboots I get a message saying that the process system has unexpectingly stopped working, and either gives me a choice to click wait or ok and either one I click does not work for the phone. I also flashed the theme called [THEME] Updated! 6/16~Touch0Color~ DS Evolution3 V3 + Universal flash. With the theme on or off the phone still reboots and has the same problems. I am wondering what can I do to make the phone stop restarting and make my camera work. I am also using titanium back up in order to restore my apps

My usb storage keeps saying calculating on audio. I dont no if this has something to do with why the media scanning running is still running after 20 something mins
you need to wait sometime to finish the scan. I had problem with the rom that I'm not receiving any text messages.
went back to stock and rooted and removed all the bloats. it's perfect now, you might want to give it a try.
How did you remove the bloat. I really don't have any idea on how to do that

Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
You remove the bloatware with titanium.
You freeze or uninstall annoying Samsung or tmobile stuff
It's like the 3rd menu option
You get a list of the stuff on your phone
You select the suspect stuff and freeze it
Or un install if you are sure you don't want it
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Use tdjs att based ROM if the TMobile one is giving you trouble

Do I have to be running the rom that I want to use to remove the bloatware I had to go back to another rom so that my phone wouldn't keep rebooting
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Here install this since you don't know how to remove the bloat. Just follow the instructions

I flashed an AOSP Rom (SuperNexus) on my LGOG. Now when I try to flash a Stock (ZVB) based ROM, my phone reboots every time data connects. I tried Stock Rooted and Lifeless. The ROM's will flash onto my phone, but I can't get any data.
I tried installing LGNPST, but every time I connect my phone and open the LGNPST software I get a message that LG USB/Parallel dongle is not detected. I flashed back to Super Nex and my connection is fine.
And I am re-flashing, not restoring a backup. I ran a backup in TWRP before I flashed Super Nex so that I could get back to my Stock setup, but TWRP can't see anything to restore.
Ugh

sounds like you're having similar issues as bmp7777, have you made any changes to your storage? as in the whole sdcard0 stuff? are your backups stored in sdcard0 ? when you flash a aosp rom it changes the way your storage is set up make sure you put your important stuff on sdcard0

Why not just completely erase data? Including data media? That will solve all problems.

Hope I didn't come across as rude, wasn't my intention, just thought up the quickest way I knew would solve it
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
This happened to me a couple months ago.
Easy solution:
Go to TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced -> make sure you wipe all four options data, dalvik, cache, and system.
When you factory reset you only wiped data, dalvik, and cache. You forgot to wipe system, then you can go back to flashing normally.
Dont worry this wont wipe your SDcard.
Well I ****ed up. I formatted the data partition. I am now hard bricked. No recovery, no boot, nothing. glad I purchased that insurance.

Are you actually hard bricked because at this point normally I'm pretty sure you could just LGNPST back to stock? I mean I've wiped everything before to rule out dirty flashing related bugs on ROMs and I don't think TWRP actually touches any of the really critical low-level files.

Worse than I've done before. Whatever I did I got black screen no matter what volume rocker power button combo I use. I have lgnpst installed on my computer but it doesn't recognize that I have my phone plugged in. Not sure what to do with that. Everything worked well when I rooted.

I had the same issue with LGNPST. The solution is very simple. Uninstall LGNPDT completely from your computer. Go into start-computer-c drive and delete folders labeled LG electronics off of there and inside program files. Then reinstall LGNPST but right click the .exe file and select install as administrator. This will solve your issue and flash back to stock. Make sure you follow the normal process of selecting the .dll and .bin files.
Let me know if this helped.

Going to flash this weekend.
I found I had to flash a new gapps to get the play store working. I also had to uninstall and reinstall several apps that were force closing or not loading. But otherwise it seems to be as stable as 10.1.x for me.
I could not successfully flash back to any 10.1.x version (at least without doing a factory wipe) and I had actually flashed to 10.2 by accident (thinking it was a 10.1 nightly). So make sure to backup before you go ahead.
I'm also sad to see I'm still getting a runaway usb_otg process after disconnecting from a computer USB port requiring a reboot. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. The connected to USB notification also remains active sometimes after disconnecting.

If you make clean flashing a religion you wouldn't run into any problems.... clean flashed every nightly and never experienced 98 percent of problems others have had.
Whats the main difference between 4.2 and 4.3?
---------- Post added at 11:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:13 PM ----------
I mean is it worth going through it and dealing with the bugs if we have a 4.2 thats working great?
I flash this yesterday but keyboard dosnt work :/

woot! 4.3!
Yay for new versions...time for yet another full wipe and flash...
Anyone know yet how stable this is?
Installed the first Nightly from the 14th.
I had similar issues with GAPPS. Had to upgrade to most recent.
Overall, its a nice build. I am still having issues with phone reboots every so often. Only seems to happen when I am using GPS and BlueTooth
i.e. on my commute home. But the reboots are so fast, they may occur at other times when I don't have the phone up in my view.
Happy that I upgraded none the less.
Nice cant wait to try it out. I heard there are problems with the camera though.

you clean flash every nightly? what a huge pain in the ass. at most i clean flash once a month or so, anything more defeats the purpose of customizing your setup since you have to keep redoing everything.

He's not talking about system data, he's probably talking about just your apps. I'd rather take an extra five minutes to make sure I have no problems than run into problems.
Something weird happens when I try a different ROM or updating the current ROM I'm on.
Everything changes to "unknown" imei, network, etc.
I restore a backup and everything is perfectly fine.
I have tried going back to stock and re-rooting the device, once I flash a ROM everything goes to "unknown".
What I've tried:
Returning to stock and re-rooting
Switched recoveries (tried both cwm and Twrp)
Made sure downloads weren't bad (both ROM and gapps)
Made sure recoveries were up to date
Full wipes when trying a different ROM
T-Mobile gs3 T-999 (yes, I'm sure)
Rooted
Twrp recovery
Running Ayysir's PA 3.99 RC1

I second this.
Some reported that after rebooting several times, everything returned to normal. It is very weird, but in this case the IMEI is not lost, it's just the O/S isn't reading it for whatever reason.
If rebooting doesn't eventually help, you could try using nvrestore. But just about everyone has said an Odin flash back to stock solved it.

I'll have to try rebooting a few times the next time it happens.
Yes going back to stock does resolve the issue. I was going to Odin back to stock (once again), instead I tried restoring from a back and everything was back to normal.
I was just wondering if this common, I will definitely try rebooting a few times the next time. Thanks Doc.

Anytime! Haven't seen him much lately but mt3g had this issue and it seemed that once he ran the reboot nvbackup command, it would fix itself after the first boot, whereas for others he said it was taking several attempts.
I think it was aerowinder that was also in that discussion with us so I credit the two of them for educating me on it. The two of them are usually who I learn the cm/aosp stuff from!

So I installed Skynote 4.3 Edition RC8-1 Base followed all instructions... phone starts up fine first time but once I reboot to install the update to V8.2 it just sits at the GN 2 Logo the only way to get it to fully reboot is to do a complete re-wipe and flash again. What am I doing wrong? It does not do this with any other ROM. Phone is the AT&T GN 2. PLEASE HELP ME!
Sounds like user error sorry to say.
Imho
I haven't seen or heard anything like this in that thread.:what:
And I've been there since it started...
START over full wipe of everything 3x including INTERNAL storage...
Flash Rom 8.1 base let it sit for 10 minutes. Set it up play store etc.
TRY and reboot to recovery. Wipe C/D cache, flash update 8.2 reboot.
Let it sit again for like 5 mins. Then flash what ever add on's you'll like to add in...
