Recently I installed CPU-Z.
It shows my battery capacity is 1390mah while Phone spec shows 2000mah in box
Which one is true!
2000mAh

Not really, it's a bug in Xiaomi's power_profile.xml, which you can extract from the framework of any stock rom.

Hi,
I got a new aftermarket battery, same size but more power: is there anything I should do (delete battery stats, manually or through an app, etc...) to have it work properly?
thanks

Nothing special to do.
Problem is, if the battery is the same size, its probably the same (or even less) mAh capacity as stock, and just being sold as larger w/ a different label

in theory battery is without NFC so the advertised 1900mAh should be real
is tehre a way to check the real mAh of a battery?
Battery Monitor Widget shows you the mAh of your battery,
By the way, Did you tray to dial the code *#*#4636#*#* on the phone, and then go to the option "battery info"?

As with any battery I suggest charge and discharge FULLY two or three times to condition the battery. Don't top it off for the first bit. If its not genuine, I wouldn't hold my breath. Don't let it sit discharged in your phone lest it leak. My 2cents.
if its the same size as the oem its not 1900mah.
is there a tool to test exact battery capacity in mAh ? I bought a battery on ebay it says 2450 mah. I want to know exactly capacity in it.

Go to your dialer and enter the following code: *#*#4636#*#*. Then select Battery Info/Statistics. It's the 'hidden' menu, but that will display your battery power in mAh.
it does not show mah. battery voltage is in mV .

My bad, excuse me.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.NanoDinamics.NovaTester
Ain't this what you're looking for?
I tried once, it running forever, no result. I stopped it. I will try again.

But there must be like tons of apps like this. I mean, I found 2 with just searching for mah checker on Google. So there are apps yes
I tried Nova battery tester again. I waited a whole day it still running, I had to stop it. The mAh number on bottom constantly change. it cannot detect battery capacity.
do you know any other app ?

Has anyone tried to put an m9 battery inside an m8 or know if it would work ? They both appear to be the same physically, with the m9 battery just slightly larger in capacity
did u try to put in m8 , m9 battery ? i want to try that so can u reply ?
I put an M9/M8s battery in my M8 about an hour ago. It did fit without a problem.
The phone works and is charging at the moment.

hows the battery life, have you noticed any difference ?
I have m9 battery in my m8...i tried to replace the volume buttons and during that i damaged my battery and the screen heheehhe... Then i must buy new screen and battery and decided to upgrade it with the m9 battery... The screen was brand new and also the baterry. Now i have problems with touch screen and the phone turns off randomly with sound off low battery. When i turn it on the battery is not low... And i got a half inch dead touch strip on my screen... Can this be because of the m9 battery, bad voltage or somnthing similar...
Sorry for my really bad English... :cyclops:
Just to confirm, the m9 battery works normal and that random reboots was not related to the battery... But i dont see any upgrade in the battery life...

Yes it shows 25C. But in TWRP it shows the real temperature... I just wonder, if the phone doesn't recognise the extra 240mah, does it use them? I will share tomorrow my battery life... I am on lineage os and battery life is pretty solid...
I promised to share the screenshots of my battery life with the m9 battery in my m8...i am on latest lineage os and very satisfied with it... cheers

Interesting, maybe next time I need to change the battery I get M9 battery. I was thinking could HTC 10 3000 mAh battery fit to M8? I tried to look up their dimensions but can't find anywhere.

I did a quick search and they seem similar - same connection, similar looking, but a longer ribbon.
I don't think it will fit, but we won't know until someone tries.

Yep, or finds some official measurements of both batteries.
wrong post
I used an M9 battery in my M8. Installed literally 1 hour ago. Taking its first charge now.
I am currently on RR rom.
I installed ampere to check the charging speed but was surprised to see the battery capacity showing 3,350 mAh instead of 4000 mAh.
Any solutions/ideas?

It might be an app issue. You can cross-check the capacity through cpu-z app.

Cpu-z doesn't show battery capacity
I think it could be a rom/kernel issue. I find the same behavior in multiple battery / hardware info apps
