im having a problem when i flash this, there was a kernel named "kernelgeeb" for the e970 for this port, everything worked fine with previous version but with this one, flashing the kernel it goes on reboot and then gets in recovery, and if i install this without the kernel, it gives me green screen called "AP wachtdog detected" what should i do?

What's news on build 14.2?

Hey, I'm a new guy here (I think), and I just wanted to thank y'all for all your time and effort. Having Lollipop on my Sprint Optimus G is just great. I tried out the Pesky-Wabbit build today and it worked, albeit without any cell service. I tried the latest version, hoping for that fix, but it's stuck on the 'Google' boot screen. Any ideas on what to do? I can still access recovery.

But you can still access the recovery menu , right?
You don't have another ROM on your phone's storage?
If you don't have another ROM in your SD card, you probably can push a ROM file through ADB, and then flash from recovery.

Hey all, I'm wondering if there if it is possible for me to run this android L port on my phone. I read the whole thread but couldn't find a conclusive answer as to what to flash for it to work on GEEB. Can someone link me to the right files?

I'm gonna try that in a few minutes. Probably everything is working fine except for SD card detection.
EDIT: Well With the kernel on the link (jollaman's) WiFi doesn't work. Data and camera work. Maybe replacing some WiFi files can fix it, maybe, I don't know which ones though.

GEEB Builds
Please tell me in finding the latest build for GEEB (AT&T)

The links in my previous post is the latest build right now 10/22/14. The release 15.1 and the jollaman's kernel for geeb, but WiFi and SD working working with that combo. I'll probably wait until someone builds it from source.

Yes... WiFi and SD is not working

For Geeb, at least in my testing...
If you flash the following build, then the geeb kernel, you will have working WiFi (and cellular data), but no access to the external sdcard.

i has d855 latin american version 10L. and to try unzip kdz. with LG Firmware extract,
i can obtain the file laf_393216.bin, but i don´t know convert to .img

That's why you should always follow the instructions which include backing up your laf.img
Just treat the bin as it was an img

If done also some investigation, the "crash handler" is never called within the kernel, so it obviously has to happen somewhere outside, which makes it even more likely that LG patched something new in, I'll try to "disable" the handler and send you an image, would be great if you could check, if it's working out as I think @suljo94

A Nandroid backup made with TWRP can fully restore the phone to a good state if we have this watchdog error ?

Yes and no, the kernel is compatible with any rom and is confirmed working on Cloudy, but some face problems on 10L based roms, which is not directly rom related though.
Yes, a nandroid can restore it completely, currently this isn't even needed, but just a reboot fixes it.

Dears,
A million thanks for the help. Now the issue is that when trying to load the kernel. I wanted to try to turn back. and begin to call the kernel from a stock rom using kdz. the problem was that was saying to peruse the download mode was lost. and load the lif.img again. I could not get back the download mode. :crying:
is why we try to rescue it by LGFirmwareExtract. but this threw me a .bin file and it was then that complicates me.
I have now installed the TWRP on my d855. and CloudyG3 1.0 rom. I do not know if there is some method of recovery that way.

What do you suggest to be the best settings for governors and schedulers to get the best performance and which ones to have the best ratio performance/battery drain?

No, you have to boot the kernel through fastboot for now. Bump website will be released later and once the dev had bumped his kernel it will be a flashable zip. Until then, read the op of the dev thread.

Idk what I did wrong i flashed then i was stuck at a bootload at the samsung note 3 screen..... But this has happen with all the tw lollipop roms i have tried to flash so i dont know what i am doing wrong

in philz rec choose the option wipe to install clean rom and flash the Rom aafter just reboot the device let it boot its normal for it to take up to 10 minutes during the first boot
I am also on N900T it is working great

Ok.... Will try again So I dont need to flash a kernal?? For some reason I believe my problem is the kernal because any time I flash a custom rom and dont flash a kernal the rom doesnt want to boot up and Im stuck on the note 3 screen

Ok.... Thank you so much!!! I will give it another try after this one didnt work... I had given up but I will try and flash again.... I will let you know the turnout

Thanks for the ROM. I'll be testing and report back on how it works for me.
One issue I immediately see if that wifi seems to not be working for me. Every time I try and turn it on, it is either greyed out and I can't toggle it, or if I am able to toggle it, it just doesn't do anything. I rebooted, still same issue. I think I flashed it properly (I wiped data, cache, dalvik, system), but I may try flashing again.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for this?
EDIT: Did a second full wipe and flash and still no wifi. Everything else seems to work connection wise, airplane mode, bluetooth, mobile data, just not wifi.

You can look in the ROM thread for a fix...on page 4 or 5.

DPI change?
Hey, the ROM is still going smooth. No real issues so far (except my battery life isn't as good as before, but it's not terrible or anything).
I have been trying to change the DPI on this ROM, but I have not been able to make it stick. I have tried using the build prop editor app as well as directly editing the build prop via ES File Explorer. Neither has worked. Has anyone been able to change their DPI or is there something specific that I need to do to get it working?

i didn't tried it i have no mhl cable.
if its not working there's no solution for now.

@alex when i try to apply white theme in the rom it doesnt chng to white but in candyrom the theme changes its color !!!!

Thats the price to use validus for now...not themable yet.
I mean yeah, u can theme, but frameworks been changed to black, so themers and validus head dev working on this kind of issue...

Not sure if its something I did wrong but I lost root after update. Supersu tried to update binary then said no root. Will try to install again.
Maybe is was something I did. Wiped caches and flashed ROM plus PA gapps and root is back. Awesome ROM thanks!

Hello, Good Day!!!
I am currently using this ROM and I want to back up the this to try other ROMs. How can I back up this ROM since there are no back up feature in the CM Recovery?
Do I need to flash other kernel (example advance kernel) that has recovery to back up the ROM then reflash the CM kernel again?

flash twrp onto fota partition and make a nandbackup from it, or else use titanium backup pro app....or superbackup there's plenty

Can you me a link for the procedures on flashing twrp onto fota? I'm afraid that i might use an incompatible procedures that may break my phone?
I cannot use titanium back up in case of bootloop right? I should use nandroid back up.

i used xperia recovery manager .. there is a thread in the cross dev section ..

Am I the only that cannot connect to Mobile Network using this rom? Wifi is working fine, however, when connecting thru mobile it cannot establish any connection. I've also encountered this in the new version of Candy5.

revert back to previous build as there are issues on calling from cm .

no, actually now i am facing this issue on ressurrection remix .. as many others are ..but on latest candyrom 1.0.0 i had 3g working just fine with clean wipe

We had different experience since i do not have issue on calling on Candyrom. Just the mobile network.

in settings when you click on Privacy, it says backup & reset at the top...
also in 'the void/statusbar' 'clock style hidden' does not stay after a reboot or even after unlock screen the clock reapears but the setting says hidden... these things are bugs right?
what did cm12 have to change to fix the wakelocks on google services? something about mixmatched versions?

yes these are bugs
i didn't get you on mixmatched thing what u mean?

I suffer from the wakelock and was able to temporaly solve it by using privacy guard on the service... this is one link I found - http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/2zrxwi/320_cm12_nightly_google_play_services_7x_wakelock/

Thanks for sharing but this one is for HTC d820us. Thats a mediatek based phon. we ar here for HTC 820. The QC 64bit one..

hey guys, i have a desire 820 with me, phone does not start, so i check recovery, TWRP is installed, tried to wipe and reboot, it said No system installed. How can i install the original OS on it? is it the same process as flash a custom ROM?

I have tried some of the Chinese roms for my d820u, with various success. The best I have found so far is this one (rooted deodexed but otherwise stock from HK). Very stable, good on battery usage and supporting correctly dual standby (none of the other roms were). Aside from a (very) few Chinese words here and there. it is very good.

You can flash it in TWRP, the first setup screen is in Chinese but you can change the language to English pretty easily.
If you need the Play store or any Google apps, you can flash one of the 4.4.4 Gapps package as explained in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
You need a full wipe after installing the Gapps package, otherwise you will get a force close on the initial Setup Wizard.

thanks, very helpful. Im downloading this, if it doesnt work, i will look for stock .

this is interesting. can you provide the url you used to download the rom or will that not work for others? my several attempts at subscribing did not meet with success.
so, you were already rooted. how did you get root access? please reply. also please provide screenshots of important aspects like dialer, messaging, about phone, app drawer, storage settings etc. is sd-card write access built-in? the runtime is art or dalvik? does xposed framework and modules (gravitybox) run fine?
i know my questions are too many, but please answer. thanks a lot.

The look&feel is exactly stock HTC. I use Apex, so a home screenshot won't help you, but I attached the dialer and about screens.
I haven't had time to test it but the author claims perfect root and ART working. I came from an already rooted rom, I just flashed TWRP, the rom and gapps. Xposed status unknown, and I can't really tinker right now, I need the phone for work.

dual-sim dialer! that's cool. i understand about needing phone for work (most important - work is worship!). but, when you find time, please try the things i mentioned.
i'm wondering if the dialer can be used on stock rom. so, if you don't mind, kindly upload the contacts and phone files and share the links. is there built-in call-recording in the in-call screen? many thanks in advance.

I got the phone already rooted, but no OS. All i can say is that the ROM worked very well. I dont have the phone anymore since i just helped a friend.
