What would it take to get this baby some ROMs? I've had success porting ROMs in the past, and I've noticed that there is a few custom ROMs for smartwatches. I just have no idea where we would start. Anybody got any feedback?
I would also like to know but I guess you can make a stock based rom there is a perfect flashable back up here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sma...rom-repacked-stock-rom-swr50-version-t2988087
I mean I don't know anything about roms but couldn't you just unzip this rom above add some custom apps/bootanimations ect... then rezip it?
I mean, you probably could. I'm looking to make something from source I guess. I'll have to poke around later to try and find the lollipop sources for it.

hi folks,
i quite liked the fact to be able create my own rom with cyanogen repo, and i wanted to do the same with my one x, but i can t find any tutorial anywhere.
did i missed something?
where can i get a tutorial for create a rom from source (ICS) ?
thxx for helping
best regards
This is for a different phone, but the general steps are all very similar. At least it provides a starting point. If you've built previous versions of CM you will see that it's almost the same.

thank you very much for this great link, i gonna give it a try.
the global idea is to integrate this http://selinuxproject.org/page/SEAndroid into a rom.
i am surprised that nobody tried, couldn t find any tutorial about how integrate it into cyanogenmod.
Its been awhile since ive seen a device without aokp support. Will we have it and doesnt anyone know when
isn't AOKP still based off CM? Usually you start seeing all the original AOSP type ROM's come out after CM has been released.

Actually, they compile from source now! They do, however, use the CM device trees to fix things with their builds for some devices. Just a little fun fact and to answer the e.t.a question, we really don't know! Whenever a maintainer get their hands on one or someone steps up to maintain the device with them.
Probably a stupid question, but where does the PA ROM come from?
Do they grab the Cyanogen source code and meld it into their own?
Or are they grabbing straight from Google Android source code and making it their own, then borrowing some features from other ROM's (like all ROM devs do)?

We build from aosp. Most features are our own, we try not to borrow things from other ROMs at all.

well CM and Carbon sure are and once they finished there "stable-ish" 5.0 nightly that's probably when our/the D2LTE Dev's will take a crack at it but they could go above and beyond and make it before them but i would say only if they choose to...and if your wondering about stock TW based roms that will only happen if Samsung updates us to 5.0 TW....
the i9300 and i9350 are getting AOSP Lollipop love via ports http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/orig-development/rom-namelessrom-t2939673 <---one example but we just have to be patient and see if our Devs make a port or source built AOSP custom rom for us....
Im wanting to give android rom development a go. I want to make a custom rom with an OOS base such as AccentOS and FreedomOS.
I know since OOS isnt open source, I cant go to github and get the files needed to build the rom. Im lost on how to get everything set up. I have all the tools to edit and build the rom but I dont know how to get the base. Anyone able to help?
Sorry if I said stuff wrong, Im new to android development so I dont know the proper terms yet haha.
All I want is a debloated rom without gapps with kernel-nethunter support.
Only f-droid.

Depends on what you are gonna do with it.
Check their threads and see which suits you according to what you want to do with the ROM.
