Hi
Fresh install of 5.0.1 from google images, rooted and then a few weeks later flashed boot, boot loader and system from 5.0.2 and re rooted.
All of that went fine.
But I'm finding major stability problems. The tablet is hanging, crashing, losing the all icons on the home page including the bottom row.. Only choice I have is to force a reboot and it works for a day or two.
Its very slow and laggy.. Any ideas ?
On 4.4.4 it was fine, as soon as I upgraded the problems started. I've kept it up to date to see if that will help, but its not.
I am considering going back to 4.4.4 which is a shame as I do like the look of 5.
Help !?

Think I'll look for a alternative ROM
It's not the ROM. I did the same as you and it's running better than ever.
Did you try running fastboot format cache? Or I guess you can wipe it from recovery.
How did you root? I know chainfires regular non-auto zip works fine, don't know about any other methods.
Maybe an app you have is causing problems?
If none of the above apply try another full clean install from the latest image.
I flashed SuperSU via TWRP and wiped cache etc.
Think I'll backup what I needed a default it to start with.. Then see how it goes.
For what it's worth, I've used Apex Launcher on my Nexus 7 (2013) and Nova Prime on my Nexus 5 and haven't had any issues with redraws, lag, etc. Maybe it's the Google Now launcher.

Hi there I am having a similar issue. But not quite the same. I am updated to the latest market but am unable to go to myapps directory. Every time I click on my apps I am being given my google account and an option to brows apps and games.
All help is highly appreciated.
I think it has something to do with gmail not syncing on wifi.. they are the only two things not fine atm. I hope someone got a workaround this?
All of my other g-mail apps a synced : calendar ,contacts etc.
In the beginning of using this ROM and on first installation prior to moving back my apps everything seemed OK and I was able to access the market. I cleared the market cashe as well as my g-mail account but to no avail
I think I fixed it on my own. I reformatted my sd card, started from scratch, made the partitions etc.. did a full wipe, reinstalled, and now it works flawlessly.. Make sure to have a ext4 partition, i think that helps :S
Let me know if this works for you too.
I am with 1gb ext 4 partition. Will tru the A2SD++ version with a clean wipe. Hopefully it will fix it,other wise this is a brilliant ROM.

I don't have such a problem with a clean 5.0.
But did you try to flash market 3.3.11 from addons?
It was automatically added, mate. Running the latest version from several days and still the same issue and non of the installed apps get updated. I am waiting for Runny 5.2 to make another full wipe and clean install. I hope it will solve the issue. Thanks for the help any way.
i think you should download last version of market...

Did you try the route I mentioned? It works for me now, flawlessly.
I am with the latest market version ,but do not want to re-format the card. Simply will wait for 5.2 to be released if the issue continues will follow your steps ,mate.Appreciate the help.
Will be flashing 5.2 in a while.. will update then
Me too,but I solved it.
You may entering "setting">application>app management, then at "market" ,click it ,wipe the app cache , so you now run the app ,no more issue.
Try it and let us know, btw 5.2 works like a charm

Issue partially solved
Since i did the cahce cleaned on version 5.0 as well but forgot to mention it .Yesterday I made a full wipe and clean install on version 5.2. I set up the ROM and checked the market and it was running fine. Afterwords I restored my apps. with MyBack UP root and the issue reoccurred so I figured out it is from the back up. I used titanium to make the back up - full wipe and set up the ROM again.I restored my apps with Titanium the market works fine but the ROM itself does not recognize my returned applications in the myapps market list. However the original ROM applications are being recognized so I can live with that for the moment. If you have any suggestions I am open for them.
Hi all,
It seems the market is running slowly than the previous version and I read if you use setdns app sets on "dhcp/disable" the market is running very quickly than before. Change Dns.
if that's help....
Thanks.
Fred.
Thanks for the prompt will try it tonight !
I don't have any problems with runny Rom and market , but you'll try the new version 5.3 i think everything is ok there ...

Oh BTW I'm with Runny 5.2 with ad2sdx-1.0-RC01 Script Everything is fine here and verry smoothness Today (but i think later) I'll "Fix" my Rom with 5.3
As it turnes out it has something to do with backing up applications. Installed all in one version and returned all of the applications simply by installing them from the matket and it seems the problem is solved for the moment. Cheers and thank you for your help.

My experiences with this rom, and some of the previous ones.
The latest version, as well as 3.2 and version 4 pre-release, are not auto updating the market apps after install for me.
This latest release after the initial flash of the rom and gaaps, there was this really cool background that was installed. But since the market wasn't updating I went ahead and tried it again. Now, the market still isn't updating and something has changed with the install. The background has reverted back to the old (and terrilbe, imo) live bubbles background.
I'm using TWRP. I boot into recovery. I clear the dalvik/cache and even did the factory reset option.
I have tried to load my wifi information and google account information on start up.
I have tried loading my wife info and skipping the google account during setup and doing it after the phone sets up.
I have tried skipping wifi and the google info until the phone sets up.
Nada for when it comes to getting the new background and market to auto-update.
These are my experiences. None of these experiences are enough to make me stop using the best ROM ever made. I honestly love what JBSourcery does and will keep using their roms.

when i installed version 4 it gave me the stock bubble background. something is sticking around after your wipe. i am using clockwork, so i cant help with TWRP, but are you doing a full data wipe and not just cache/dalvik?
going from any version to version 4 cannot just be installed, you have to wipe. version 4 is is completely different internally and a "dirty flash" might be what is causing these issues.
hope this helps.

You must wipe dalvik, cache, factory reset and system. I had issues at first. If you do all that then flash ROM and gapps. I even wipe cache and dalvik after. Once you reboot allow apps to auto restore. Reboot recovery and backup before making any changes. Then enjoy.

I've been using Android Revolution 9.2 and this morning installed 10.0. Everything was working fine for a while, then all of a sudden the GAPPS process started force-closing and I lost all access to the Play Store. I would click on the play store icon and it would just bounce me back to the launcher (in this case, Nova Launcher 2.0). I decided I need to reflash Android Rev HD 10.0 (I have CWM Recovery 6.0.1 installed). The AROMA installer would start, but it would always lock up at some point before the installation began, usually at the prompt to backup the efs partition, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. I haven't been able to get a clean flash started. I even tried to go back to 9.2, but the same thing is happening.
I did a factory reset hoping it would fix the problem, but the GAPPS process continues to crash and I can't access google to restore my apps. So I'm really up **** creek here. Am I looking at a bad RAM problem all of a sudden? (god, I hope not!).
Any help/advice would be welcome.

I've been running LineageOS on my Nexus 6P for a while now, with no problems. The first couple OTA updates worked fine. But starting with the Feb 27 update, I've been having problems.
The update appears to work, but my home screen is completely blank. Everything but the launcher seems to be working. I can hit the multitasking button and bring up apps, and those work ok.
I tried restoring a backup (with TWRP), and that completely killed the system (won't boot). I had to wipe, and then copy backup files back from my PC.
This happened with both the Feb 27 and the Mar 6 nightlies.
Has anyone else seen this? Am I doing something stupid?
Have you tryed , restoring just launcher data?

What is your launcher?
Enviado de meu Mi 5s Plus usando Tapatalk
I'm using LineageOS without google apps, so it's the default Lineage launcher (trebuchet).
Is there some way to reinstall just trebuchet?
I've seen a few comments here on xda-developers suggesting that the LineageOS OTA system isn't entirely reliable. I think I'll try flashing an update manually, rather than OTA, and see if that works better.
Following up to my own question, just in case anyone else runs into this...
I flashed the latest LineageOS update (manually flashed via TWRP, not OTA), and ran into exactly the same problem: my home screen is completely blank.
The trick was to remove LineageSetupWizard, as described here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71123022&postcount=1269
I wish I knew WHY this works, but at least I have a working phone.
On LineageOS 13, the latest official build of LineageOS for the Nexus 10, when I iinstall the Nova Google Companion for Nova Launcher, Google Play Services, Nova Launcher, and a number of other apps crash. When returning to the home screen, it freezes, then sends the app into a boot loop where after the LineageOS logo appears in it's entirety, my device tries to start LineageOS, but then crashes again and so the boot loop process continues. I have already reported this issue to the Nova Launcher Beta Google+ community and mentioned that Nova Google Companion ran fine on the stock 5.1.1 ROM. I've already tried reflashing LineageOS and GApps. Suggestions as to what I should do without flashing a different ROM?
Update: So as it turns out, ANY UI modifications (Launchers, TeslaUnread, Nova Google Companion/Action Launcher Google Plugin) will send the device into a bootloop. I suspect that the issue is with themes provider or GApps, since Google Play, Play Services, and Themes Provider are the first to crash.
I have a similar issue but I am unsure what program causes it.
The tablet was newly installed and installing my list of apps, one being Nova.
EDIT, information provided by op:
The August 5th nightly accepts Nova Launcher, but not TeslaUnread, Nova Google Companion, or Action Launcher
Hello, I have similar issue with my Nexus 10 on lineageos 13. I've reset from factory, reinstall all my apps except Nova and it works fine.
When I decide to reinstall Nova, my nexus immediatly boot in loop...
It arrive sudunly probably after an uptade of Nova...
Olivier.
Similar issue on Galaxy S3 running Cyanogenmod 13 (20161220 Snapshot).
Installing Nova Launcher causes the device to freeze and go into bootloop where it reboots after "optimising apps".
I've also tried installing Google Now launcher but " Home" option doesn't show up and there is no way to switch from Trebuchet to it.
Similar issue on S2 Plus CM13 after an update
Tested 2 weeks without Nova and nothing happened
Decided to give a shot again then bootloop happened again, luckily I had backup this time
I'm facing the same problem right now with my Redmi 4A. How did you solve it? Doing a factory reset?
I am currently facing a similar issue, but the culprit here for me is the facebook app, as soon as I install it from play store, it sends my samsung gt-i9082 (running cm13) into an instant bootloop, I tried deleting the facebook app's data from the twrp recovery's file manager.
but even then it kept on rebooting.
I had tested this even after a complete format of my device, including internal storage and external storage. even removing external storage, still as soon as the app was installed it went bootloop.
It's strange for me, cause it's the same rom and the same device, that was running the same app version before i format it to clean everything.
I would have doubt a data clash between my older files, but that was ruled out after a complete format. I have no clue why this is happening.
Edit: The only difference between my previous and the new installation is that I used deltagapps before and I am using opengapps now.
I will try with deltagapps again to see if it is sorted.
Edit 2: Well it did stopped the bootloop with the facebook app, but then again it started giving me the same issue with all the other random app I try to install(All those apps that previously were working on the same rom, same device).
Now the only suspect remains is the emmc of the device, maybe that is failing or got bad sector. strange that I haven't seen any issue on the device forum about this. Bad Luck, It reaches it's end.
