AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Don't disable Heads-Up. You wont be able to answer phone calls otherwise.
You tell...
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

Well it's open and rolling just waiting for a few changes I'm making for aicp through gerrit for this device then it should be official..... Have imported all or sources to them.... Remix hasn't been building for us has been failing... I need to look it over just haven't had the time to yet... Will take a look this weekend
Was going to give it a go but figured I would wait to see what everyone else said about it. Figure probably same issues as other cm roms. Might try this weekend. Thanks.
I actually tried it and ended up having issues when the thread re-opened so I switched out to cm nightly. I'll give this a go again and try to go into every possible setting and app before flashing gapps.
---------- Post added at 06:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:41 PM ----------
And give a quick detail on whats ups or downs

Great. I'll give this a try when I get a chance. I use ACIP regularly on my LG G3. I'm not sure understand your comment about the gapps ("They seem to cause more frequent random reboots"). Should we use them, or some other ones?
Hey about the bluetooth issue you can look into the Lollipopalooza Rom thread. I think there is a fix for it.

I tried those GApps but I got alot of random reboots(More then with no Gapps). Those are the only 64bit Gapps that I know of. If you know any other 64bit Gapps feel free to share.

You can try the 320dpi minimal gapps version here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/gapps-google-apps-minimal-edition-t2943330
It has armv7 google play services but when you log in to your google account it automatically installs the armv8 google play services version (that takes a while) and after that everything works.
I haven't had any random reboots using pure aosp rom.
Ah and by the way can you list some features of your rom somewhere?
OK, another build made. Hopefully bluetooth is fixed on this one. If you want to test it out before I do, PM me and I'll send you the build.

It is currently based off of CM so you have all of those features, There is also various stuff like network speed meter.
I used it for about three hours of typical use with zero issues, no apps closing. The install hiccuped a little and I had to reboot, once and then it rebooted after I entered my wifi password, but the rest has been smooth sailing.
I rarely use bluetooth - I just turned it on to see what happened. The tablet shut down and then every time I rebooted it would shut down after a few seconds, so I finally wiped it. So I just won't use bluetooth. It's just great to have a new ROM to play with and a last app button.
One weird thing - the first item under "AICP extras" is "various s**t." WTH(eck)?

Hey man great job with this and thanks so much, quick questions though, does this build any different for a 64bit device than it does for 32 bit? Because if its not much different then I'm going to start CM tonight
EDIT: I apolagize,I am stupid and do not like reading OP's
I am going to start syncing the repos though, if I'm super duper lucky maybe I can get a build by tomorrow, I hope you don't mind if I use some of your resources c:
Also why is SELinux disabled? incompatibility?

CM should build build fine with the cm-12.0-prebuilt branch (don't forget to sync device/htc/flounder-kernel) but I'll check it out myself. Alot of my changes I made to get build working I have already submitted and have been merged to CM. But this one has not: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/83064/
To cherry pick (this specific change) change the first line to fit your enviornment
Code:
cd ~/android/cm12/
cd bionic
git fetch http://review.cyanogenmod.org/CyanogenMod/android_bionic refs/changes/64/83064/1 && git cherry-pick FETCH_HEAD
I will check this out myself to see if there are any bugs in the build process.
At request I can also post my roomservice.xml

Out of interest, What Gapps did you use?
There is are various mods unber "Various ****" like network speed meter.
Any chance a kernel free version of this could be posted, or someone could explain how to remove the kernel from the update zip? I wanted to maintain decryption, and I'm sure many others would like to as well.
Also, is the SELinux disabling in the kernel, or the rom? Would like to continue to use elemental with this build.

SELinux is disabled in the kernel, technically, you should be able to just flash ElementalX after flashing the rom.

How to use the layers theme engine
To use the layers theme engine please follow this guide in the YouTube video, but remember you already have the layers app built in to this rom, so you don't need to worry about joining the community or downloading the beta. See the XDA page below for available themes (you can also go to the Google play store and search "layers themes" - if you install themes from the play store make sure you open the theme after downloading and follow instructions from there)

Are you having problems with Lollipop not going in to deep sleep?
Users have reported these instructions below to work for resolving this issue
Starting from ColorOS 2.0.8 I had problems with the deep sleep!
Solve it the following way:
- Flash Coloros 1.2.7 / reboot / setup wizard (without gapps) / reboot / full wipe / Flash last Cyano 12.1 / reboot / setup wizard (without gapps) / reboot / full wipe / Flash Xenon HD / setup wizard (without gapps) / reboot / wipe cache and Dalvik / Flash Gapps / reboot........... Done !!
No more deep sleep issues
Thanks user carlinho
Personally, before I even connect to the internet at all, or restore any applications, I also go in to settings>privacy and turn privacy guard to *Enabled by default*
If the problem is still not fixed you could try the following method. I have also had device not sleeping issues. I think this is a widespread bug amongst a lot of 5.1 roms. The way I fixed it is by factory wipe, follow installation instructions again, then once booted, go to settings> privacy guard and set on for new installed apps. Then restore/re-install your apps. You can then go in to privacy guard and set your absolutely trusted apps to "allow" . Since I did this I have 4 x the battery life. No shiz!
It also doesn't help that Google OTA updates is causing device to "stay awake" because Google's SystemUpdateService keeps launching commands even if update system is not there. Some people don't experience as much battery drain as others. I am one of the unlucky people as well Follow my instructions below for a fix
1. Go to settings> Privacy> Privacy Guard - Now click on the 3-dot menu button at the top right and select "advanced"
2 Click on Google Play Services > scroll down and turn off "Wake up" and "Keep Awake" options
3. Reboot in to recovery > wipe cache and davlik and reboot
The steps above will help to an extent but I would also recommend doing the following if you are still experiencing battery drain
1. Download My Android Tools from here and open the app and do the following:
2. Click on "Service" tab on the top left and then click on "System" and then scroll down and click on "Google Play services"
3. Click on the full/short button at the top right > now click on the search button and type in "com.google.android.gms.update.SystemUpdateService" and make sure to untick this option
4. Click on the menu bar located at the top left of the screen so we can navigate back to the homescreen of the app >
5. Click on "Broadcast Receiver" tab on the top left and then click on "System" and then scroll down and click on "Google Play services" > now search for "SystemUpdate" and make sure all 3 of the options are unticked (it might already be unticked but it is just to make sure) - Now reboot

I am unsure about the music bug. This is built from AOSP sources. I ported it from Bacon and used CM device trees to get it up. How can I reproduce the issue?

Booting this aosp vs new cos L would be awesome!
Thanks a million uppon2 - you serious rock the oppo scene
Hope you get the thx you deserve?
Edit: anyone able to get 50mp shots working on this rom?
Compiling a new build. Will be out in a a couple of hours if everything goes to plan
Will see if 50mp works on new build
Uppon2 please read bootmgr answer to me in this thread > http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/themes-apps/port-coloros-camera-cm11s-t3030369/page5
He says if correct string for device is added in cos camera apk, then find7 4k recording will work. .... Hot damn this is one off the last things we need from cos?
Sounds easy a re/decompiling and its working.
50mp shots 4k video and the maxaudio port ...then all is at place in lolipop
Edit:yes yes 50mp shots works flawless
Updated! Check OP
Congrats to uppon2
Nice to see the Oppo find 7 getting some XenonHD love. Oh and from the rest of the team welcome to team Horizon uppon2.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). Since then many others have joined the project and it has grown a whole lot. We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone to help other projects and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. That said it has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Done. Check the screenshot tab in OP.
Yes. CMTE is there.
Title says it's for Mi 4 also. Does this ROM support LTE version of Mi 4?
This might sound noobish but what are the recommended gapps? OP says to flash "gapps linked below" but I couldn't find it. Should I go with banks_dynamic or du_tbo gapps? I think du_tbo is probably the right choice but just want to make sure.
EDIT: Also, could someone please tell me what's the difference between du_tbo and du_tbo_CLEAR? Thanks.

This rom also having call bug.. Once i make a call, all cpu cores gets locked at heighest frequencies, no matter i choose conservative profile or any profile.. Phone apk starts coming on top of battery stats, phone starts heating like hell and only a reboot can save the phone... I just can't understand why nobody is reporting any fix for this problem.. I have posted on so many places asking for a fix but of no use.. Hopefully someone will help me out on this.. Only way i can manage to get rid of this bug is by flashing a kernel of an old nightly build dated back to 17th August.. After that almost all roms have been plagued with this issue.. Please someone help me out plzz

Hi mr. banks. heard a lot about you. specially gaaps. got the test build. and fall in love of DU. one of the most smooth rom n stable rom. had sod 2/3 times but managed with AD of. cmte rocks. now downloading official brb after flashing!
Not big stuff but have to mention for my Mi3
1. As in general ROMs and also this ROM, WCDMA Only mode gets reset to WCDMA Preferred after reboot etc (apparently doesn't happen with CM Official Nightlies and some other rare ROMs)
2. Testing menu not available via *#*#4636#*#*
Had to use some 3rd party app to access

As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!
For Device specific changelogs, check the second post.
Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) and cache will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_gemini_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the firmware package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, after you've let it settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes, do not do anything else! Please let your device settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes after the first boot, otherwise the system wont boot after a reboot!
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM! Meaning, do not flash anything like Gapps, a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

Installation is a bit fiddly. Have to follow instructions and give it a time to settle. Then you get an. excellent rom.
Exposed works very well.
Great camera. Take pictures while recording video
Fingerprint works better than any other rom.
Am staying Paranoid .

By the way, If I tap on the screenshot tile, it changes to partial screenshot.
Why it does not take full screenshot? Instead I need to long press the tile to take screenshots.

I clean flashed the ROM with pico gapps twice but no luck. But I do get sound when rebooting without flashing gapps. Don't know why? But still having issues of sim card not getting detected sometimes after reboot.
Few apps missing like FM radio etc and slim recent, glow ( haven't found any slim ROM features why they haven't included them ? ) so far so good
The most versatile rom. I glad it make it to nougat for redmi 1s. Made possible by @aniket.lamba
Thank you man!
