Hey,
ASUS has made a full Android 4.2.2 version for the vivo tab rt available. Unfortunately there isn't a way to flash it onto the tablet because of secure boot etc. I've seen someone mentioning that an older uefi version was hackable.
So maybe if you put the old uefi version somehow back on there, you might be able to boot that android version.

I wish people didn't post stuff they can'i back up. If you don't know the answer don't post. Does anyone know if it can be done?

Microsoft Secure Boot Golden Key is online, is this the start of a new life for the VivoTab RT? :

Maybe someone will port it over.
The Android version of the VivoTab RT TF600T is ASUS Transformer Pad TF502T. On the Asus website the Kernel Code for Android 4.2.1 can still be found (http://www.asus.com/support/Download/28/1/0/17/32/).

Tegra3 - it looks good.

Have anyone RT 8.1, RT 8.1 still works with internet?

WinRT on Nexus 7

Good afternoon!
A few days ago came into my hands one file, it was a way I've found windows rt restore img. Googling found that hardware stuffing differs only display resolution and count-tion of memory (in Asus Vivo RT 2 GB, Microsoft Surface 2GB while the Nexus 7 1 GB), but the problem is that all WinRT tablet is uefi bootloader. Remembering Projects OSX86 and about chameleon, empire efi, decided to port the bootloader on Nexus. Make the type MultiBoot.
who will help me in my endeavors?
Cotulla make with htc hd2 magldr>uefi>win rt (magldr this is custom loader with sdcard boot support) / can we make a analog of magldr for nexus 7?
Hi, I acan't help but don't see why this isn't possible (albeit very hard) as win rt has been run on htc hd2 http://www.xda-developers.com/windows-mobile/htc-hd2-refuses-to-die-now-runs-windows-rt/ however I beleive a custom firmware was written for the very purpose.
I am trying to do the complete opposite and install android/ubuntu on the vivo tab tf600. Best of luck and please post updates if you make any progress.
need people who can write uefi loader/ please write.

Unfortunately I don't have the technical knowledge to be able to help you with that...
But I think I've read that MAGLDR-UEFI was based on tianocore, so you can start with that!
Code:
tianocore.sourceforge.net
But it's an awesome project!:highfive:
I hope you can make it happen! :fingers-crossed:
Just now, we need MS SurfaceRT tablet, and I collect the money for it.
But in priority I have psVita Hacking...

[Q] Windows Surface RT x86 emu

Hello,
i can't install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095934 can help me pls ?
thx
sry my english is bad ;(
Jailbroken?
No is Windows RT 8.1.
can i downgrade to 8? yes ? plus send me a link for it
michi
What device do you have? If it isn't the surface 2 or the lumia 2560 then it can be downgraded.
The emu needs jailbreak.
Hello
Windows surface 1gen. 32gb Firmware 8.1
I will downgread to 8
Pls help
Help with what? You told us your problem, we told you the solution. To downgrade, just download the relevant recovery image (they're all linked on another thread, possibly in the Surface forum, search is your friend) and set it up on a bootable flashdrive (there should be instructions) and then reboot the Surface using the option to boot off external media (again, there should be instructions and if not, search is your friend).

[Q] RT Windows JailB Problem

Hello!
Im running the final Version of Windows 8.1 on my Surface RT. I tried to jailbreak it but something isn't working. I will attach an image of the failure down below. This error message only appears a couple of miliseconds, because of that the quality is so low.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me!
Thank you!!!

Theres your problem. As has been stated umpteen billion times, the jailbreak works in RT 8.0 only, does not work in 8.1.
thanks
Ok. Many youtubers say that the 1.20 jb works with windows 8.1 too.
Is there a way to downgrade the windows 8.1 version to 8.0?
Will there be in the future a 8.1 jailbreak?

You have to download Windows 8 RT recovery image from Microsoft Surface RT site, and have to flash ur Surface device in order to downgrade the device...
1.2 ver. JB NEVER works on 8.1 RT...
I think there will be no hope for 8.1 JB
Possible Alternative
I found a directory called "C:/Windows/System32/CodeIntegrity" on my Surface RT. Maybe it has something to do with the unsinged exe problems.

Support for lenovo Yoga Book

Can anyone start making RemixOS for the Lenovo yoga book pls? like this tablet is soo awesome and I believe RemixOS can run on this!
Yes! this would be awesome of someone could do that for the Android version of the Yoga Book!
I am not informed if this is possible. As far I know someone did manage to unlock the bootloader, but nobody did manage to get root ... I am not sure what is necessary to get a RemixOS running ...

I think root permission is enough in this case.
Lenovo released android open-source so driver or ect is no more problem i think.
Yogabook is great device to me but Android limited it's usefulness. I regret my selection... I should have bought windows version...

Windows 10 build 15035 for Surface RT

Windows 10 compiled for the original Surface RT devices has leaked.
Source: BetaWiki
It would be super cool if this community managed to create a working image for the OG RTs (de-bombed & with correct drivers). Anybody here who could share the leaked image with us?

Well, it hasn't exactly leaked yet. Do you have the actual file? I can add the correct drivers and remove the timebomb if I can get my hands on it
Unfortunately no, I don't have access to BetaArchive's FTP. But I would be shocked if nobody on this forum had... Fingers crossed it gets reuploaded soon.

Another thing we need to find out, does it require configuration to boot? Or is it just a bootable install image?
Well I manage to get the file. Its not iso its a zip. But I have honestly not Idea what to do with it, and I try in all inventive ways, LOL!. I could make a torrent file if any its interested on. With the compromise on do a tutorial later if some one manage to do anything with it.

To benefit the community and have more people working on this, Did you think you could do some quick howto on doing this. Or point us on the right learning path! Im so eager to learn this stuff!

In the end, I won't know how exactly to fix the timebomb unless I can see the file itself. Replacing the drivers are just as easy as copy paste into the wim file.

PM you in a moment!
I've been trying to get this running on Surface 2, the way I've been trying with this is a dual boot with RT 8.1 and I've partitioned my device to allow roughly 12GB for the Windows 10 installation.
Unfortunately there is an issue with nvpep causing a BSOD that is beyond my abilities to solve, without nvpep nothing else will work. I don't have a Surface RT to test with but I read that this issue does not manifest on those devices, however it still won't work out of the box.
I've pieced together some information that might be of help if your trying to install that applies to RT and 2.
Make sure secureboot debug policy is applied and don't forget to enable testsigning and nointegritychecks. If you have Jailbreak killing updates installed its probably faster to factory reset your device.
You will need to replace sdbus.sys and ststor.sys in \Windows\system32\drivers\ with versions from RT 8.1.
You will need to edit the registry on build 15035 to disable UAC - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System - EnableLUA set value to 0.
Before booting 15035 you will need to create new directory on EFIESP in \EFI\Microsoft\Recovery and then create an empty BCD Store in that location.
If you don't add the Surface 2 drivers it will actually boot to the desktop but no devices will work (Pretty much every device requires nvpep up and running first), you can play around with it using a USB keyboard and mouse but its a little pointless at the moment.
Would it be possible to share the build with wider community, so more people can have a shot at getting it up and running? I know I would love to play around with it.

Please make no mistake on the significance of said leak. There is no other known more-recent ARM 32bit Windows 10 build available on the Internet. The driver hacking community could appreciate a more open leak very much (just look at what it did to the Lumia 950/XL hacking scene around gus33000).. Sites like uup dot rg-adguard dot net fail to list this build.

Well, what about compatibility with the Lumia 2520? Do you think it would be possible to install Win10 or at least 10S on that one too? It runs 8.1RT, like the old surface RT...

Sadly, it says that it doesn't support Lumia 2520... It requires a driver...
I think I won't even ask for unreleased protos, like the Lumia 2020 ("Illusionist") etc
