Missed alarm - GPE 5.0.1 - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there,
Recently I got a really weird situation with my clock (stock one with GPE, the AOSP one).
I turn on an alarm, and I wake up in the morning one hour later and see a notification in my phone that says "Missed Alarm". It happened to me 3 times already.
Any solution please?

WM6.5 alarm clock not always working

Using stock ROM (Vodafone) and the in-built alarm clost doesn't always work... not sure why, as it's random.
Anyone else got the same problem, or better still a reason why it's not working?
I am using a custom wav sound, which is large (attached) - but without it the alarm just doesn't wake me up!
The build-in alarm of WM is unreliable since it's birth.
Long, long time ago, when I overslept once more, I bought pTravelAlarm.
A few bucks and your problem is over.
(But there are also free alarms like Klaxon.)
I have not had any problems with the alarm actually going off. However, I have noticed that it will sometimes play not only the alarm sound but also the "reminder" sound. I'm not sure why this is and it doesn't seem to happen every day. I would suggest trying a smaller sound file or maybe set up a test of the alarm and your custom sound during some time when you can observe it. Perhaps you can see if there are any special conditions that make it not go off (other programs running, checking email or something, etc...)
I am having the same problem all of a sudden
It always worked on 6.1 (and some custom ROMs)
It worked on the official 6.5 ROM
I installed Tomtom and alarm stopped working. I removed it and the alarm worked. I installed some other apps (.NET 3.5, email scheduler, timesynctz, flitsnav) and the alarm stopped working. I haven't been able to pin it down on 1 app. I removed them one by one but the problem now persists...
I have had the same problem. Woke up to late and looked at the screen where it said that he couldn't connect to the internet (probably to sync my email). When I pressed ignore, the alarm went off, email came in etc.
Maybe it better to use Klaxon or G alarm...
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Sounds]
“Repeat”=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{15F11F90-8A5F-454c-89FC-BA9B7AAB0CAD}]
"Options"=dword:4000001B
Ok, what does that code snipit (registry settings) actuall mean/do???
Same thing here... alarm sometimes fails to go off. I have noticed when it happens that the clock is locked up and is not at the current time. Also the top left of the screen says "messaging" instead of "Start"
I've noticed the messaging deal pop up from time to time for no particular reason... and when it does the clock stops keeping time. I think the fact that the clock stops is the only reason the alarm fails to go off. Any button or screen press will unfreeze the clock.
This is on a TP2 T-Mobile official 6.5 rom. Reflashed several times, and problem always returns. Unsure if it happened on the original shipped rom.
I've had issue and changed to SPB Time, never had an issue there.
Are you sure your phone wasn't locking up in the middle of the night? I have had that happen, the Blank Screen of Death locks me up, the phone just sits idle and alarms don't go off.
has anyone tried the registry settings of HD2Owner? You have to add the new settings? How does it work?

[ISSUE] Alarm not working between 12 and 6 am

Hello Everyone,
I've just realized that the alarm on the HTC One x set up between 12 AM and 6 AM do not go off, and actually cannot be turned on at all. I had Desire HD previously and never had any problem with that?
I've tested it as I missed my FAST today and I thought that I didnt wake up from the alarm. But the alarm never went off. When I created the alarm, I realized that the alarm time was showing as black instead of the normal grey. I thought that I hadn't turned it on, but it was. So, I thought this is probably representing night time.
After about 15 minutes of testing, I've found that alarm does not go off between 12 am and 6 am (in UK at least). Can anyone else confirm whether they have a similar issue.

I didn't miss mine . (Happy Ramadan)
It does ring for me. Please check if you don't have the Times you are using set up for some day's only.
Also check if you don't have somewhere a quiet hours setting active.
Also try to install a third party app for exact times maybe with alarm as well.

Alarm did not ring at the morning (KulayOS ROM 2.0)

Since I am new to XDA so I can not reply on the development forum, please someone help me passing my question to tantrums. Thanks.
My Find 7a is running KulayOS ROM 2.0 and I love it. But I got a serious problem on this ROM. My alarm never rings at the morning. I have tried different alarm apps such as the stock alarm, Alarm clock extreme free, Alarmy etc. All failed. If I test the alarm like set it to ring after 5 minutes from now, it works perfectly. But it never rings after an overnight deep sleep. I did not encounter this issue on stock OPPO ROM or CM. But I cannot live without the stock Waves effect .
Does anyone got the same problem? Any solution? Please help.

[Q] 5.0: Alarm instabil

Hi Folks
I have an LG G3 bought in Denmark. It's running Lollipop 5.0 official, no root.
The Kernel is 3.4.0.
I've tried multiple Alarm apps but they seem to sometimes just not go off. Today the alarm was set to 5:30, and when I woke up, I just did my knock-knock to see the screen and then the alarm suddenly started, at 5:43! It's the same it does with stock alarm and Timely from Google Play Store.
The settings on the phone during the night is flight-mode, plugged in charger, and it's on sound.
Please help me. What can I do?
Hi! I can't help suggest a working alarm app other then the stock one under LG G3's Lollipop, I just wanted to let you know it's not just you although there was only one particular one I had tried, but stock does work for me.

Are you sure you didnt put your phone on do not disturb mode?
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem... The alarm doesn't always go off on time but with a delay of several minutes. Going as far as 20 min.
I also have an lg g3 and have the problem with all lollipop roms I tried (based on the stock rom). I don't have however that problem with the kitkat rom.

Android 11 random absent notification sounds / notification issues

Hello,
since the update to Android 11 on my S20 (SM-G980F/DS) the notification sounds are randomly silent.
This means sometimes (i would say in three cases out of ten) the logo of the app (problem with multiple apps) just appears on the Always On Screen. No Animation, no sound, no vibration. I could not identify any pattern or make it reproducable. Of course I tried several reboots, updated to newest version and double checked silent / do not disturb modes.
I've got the problem since the first day of the update, so around one week...
I'm thankful for any advice!
