[Q] Restore DHD to stock for warranty?

I've got my DHD fully unlocked by following a guide in the Android Development section, and I now need to return it to claim warranty, as the vibrate function has stopped working.
Is this even possible, and if so, is there any simple way to do it?
Please use the search function next time. You'd be able to find stuff like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1165396

Using Link2sd with a rooted One M8S

Hello,
I posted a question this in another thread but it got buried so I thought I would giving it its own thread.
After a successful root, I'm trying to get link2sd working with my M8S but I seem to be hitting a wall with it. It fails to mount at boot, and even when a quick reboot fixes that problem, it fails again when I try to install apps to the external sd.
I presume this is mostly to dow ith not being able to S-Off, would this be correct?
If so, are there any other ways to get around this? I see someone mentioning on another thread that you need to disable System Write Protection, but I can't find a guide to doing this relating to the M8S.
Thanks for any help and advice!
I hate bumping a thread guys, but I'd really appreciate any help or insights.

Can't root One M8 Marshmallow?

I want to use the Root call blocker app which requires root access.
I'm on Three UK & network unlocked
HTCdev instructions for root emphasise that 'OEM unlock' should be ticked in developer options before proceeding further. This option is not shown in my developer options screen & when I look at the bootloader screen the top item shows **LOCKED**
I guess this is why OEM unlock isn't shown.
I'm a complete novice & my only reason to root (so far....) is to use that particular call blocker. I have called HTC & they don't seem to know what i'm talking about...they think i'm asking how to get into developer options screen!
Perhaps being a complete novice I'm missing something? Any help will be appreciated & explanations in simple terms also
You may try kingroot apk. It works well with wi-fi.

Before someone can offer helps ... you need to advise your device is a M8 or a M8s. I think it is a M8, if this is correct, you post this in wrong device section.
You need to confirm this first so this thread can be moved to correct section and easier to help.
