When I going technical service for my battery drain problem, technicians says "I install new software. You must use your phone without SD Card."
Now i use S5 ploiki ROM. I use my phone without SD Card a few days. But battery problem still continues.

sometimes
That's the problem, scan/fix your SD card in Windows corrupt files can keep a wake your phone.
If your phone don't sleep you'll have drain and warm phone.
An app is causing your phone don't enter deepsleep
My battery problem is improved.
I change my battery. Thanks for your help

In a previous post I wrote about an issue I was having with battery drain, that I was somewhat able to fix. After switching over to FI03 I noticed the drain wasn't so bad but obvious. The only way I can get a full days charge on my phone is to go into task manager and close every application before I put my phone in stand by and set it down. Surely this can't be right, isn't that is what stand by is supposed to do, suspend those apps I was using until I wake the phone again? Maybe there's some other app that will do this automatically, or some fix I'm missing. I know there's a million "battery drain" threads, I'm just wondering since I've isolated issue and am able to recreate it, is there a way to fix it?

Just use the kies update FH13
UPDATE: I found again, as in my previous post I mentioned, if I remove the SD card I'm not getting the battery drain, I can even leave all those same apps running like previously. So I'm getting two different things that are solving my battery drain. How can I diagnose the issues based on the two resolutions 1) shutting down all my tasks before I click the home screen off and 2) taking my SD card? Between those 2 issues it should make it easier to figure out what the problem is. Any ideas?
Use programs like better battery stats and system panel lite to narrow down the problem. A fresh installation from scratch always helps too.
Thanks for the tips, anyone else?
Put your SD card back in your phone after backing up anything you want to keep from it, and format it. It should fix your battery issue. There is a bug with our phone (maybe other phones?) with the SD card causing battery drain.
Ok so I got the Note 10.1 2014 edition as a christmas gift. It is working fine. The only thing that is wrong with it is the battery is dropping from 50% to like 8% in a matter of 5 min. Or when I power off my device at say 70% and turn it on, it is at like 3%. I do not understand that a battery can just drop like that. Should I return it? Try to fix it? What should I do? Please Help!!!!!!! Thanks in advance
I'd check it with an app like a better battery stats and see what's causing the drain. Have you also updated it?

I did do all the updates. I will try the Better Battery Stats
There is an indexing service that searches through your files and indexes the contents.
On initial startup, this can take a while and really eats into the battery. Once it's complete it should be OK though.
Unless it has found a corrupt file, then it just keeps running and draining the battery. If it has an SD card, then try removing it and see if the problem goes away. If it does then you might have a bad file and need to format the SD card.

Any new news about this problem? Having the same problem.
Hi,
I think i have a battery drain problem with my G Pad since the last firmware update (V50020d).
In 10 hours standby I loose round about 5% battery power. (WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS turned off)
Before the update there was nearly no standby power consumption, maybe 1% over night.
I tried to solve the problem with a factory reset, but the problem still persists.
I havent rooted the device, so I can only use the PC Version from wakelock detector here from xda.
Maybe this screenshots could help:

I hope you could help me solving this problem.

Have you tried Greenify? its useful.
Sence you're rooted, also try some xposed module like xblast tools which modifies the biuld prop, or Greenify with xposed...
Hi thanks for your answer.
I have not rooted my device.

Try taking our your sdcard and see if the high battery drain overnight goes away. Some folks have noticed that the sdcard is now remounting several times a night and this causes the media server to scan the card over and over again all night resulting in battery drain. If the problem goes away with the removal of the sdcard you at least know what is causing it. Then you can join us in the thread where we are trying to track down what causes the sdcard bad removals....
Ok check your battery status and see if some google services is working in the background and uses some battery

Hi,
@muiriddin
I tried this last night, but the problem is not fixed.
Seems like the micro SD card is not the problem.
But thanks for your advice.
@Jhon998
When i look in the battery statistics it just said 21% Tablet idle.

For how long it eats 21%?
The tablet uses 21% battery in round about 2,5 days standby.
I still could not solve the problem, so I rooted my G Pad with ioroot.
BetterBatteryStats sayed the problem is com.google.android.gms.
See attached screenshots for more information.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Sorry that I do not have anything to offer by ways of an answer, but in what I feel may be a relevant addition to the topic, I've found that my VK810 actually *loses* battery even while it's charging and in use. With the charger hooked up, I can see the percentage dropping steadily even during light tasks such as web browsing, albeit at a slower rate than when it's unplugged.
See this how i left it all night...

Maybe is battery wrong.
There may be a hardware issue. Did you bring it to the Samsung service? You might get a replacement...
Hi All, after all possible ways to fix my P2, I am getting little angry, as thanks to help people here, I sourced full S233, and done full format and fresh installation, but still no any ringtones or sounds available, no problem, used backup form Z2, and this should be covered, media was high on battery drain too, no problem removed sd card, find out something is not right, as media gone back to normal, backing up 80gb of data a reformatting sd card, but what is wrong with sim management - hammering battery heavily, on gsam pro - showing 75 % of battery consumed by combined app CPU !!!
What is could be???? Tried sim 1 and sim 2 tray no difference. I know there is bug which keep Phone idle high, but this is nothing against sim management, anyone with any suggestions??? Many thanks..
ok, find problem, it was corrupted photos and video file on sd card. all back to normal SOT 12-13 hour per charge..
How did you identify the corrupt photo/video? I am having similar problem.

I am now experiencing the same thing. Could you please elaborate?
I just switched devices and transfered the content from my daily driver P2 to my spare P2 via Nandroid/TWRP.
I think I've had this problem before and that it had something to do with using airplane mode for an extended period of time.
