Hi All, after all possible ways to fix my P2, I am getting little angry, as thanks to help people here, I sourced full S233, and done full format and fresh installation, but still no any ringtones or sounds available, no problem, used backup form Z2, and this should be covered, media was high on battery drain too, no problem removed sd card, find out something is not right, as media gone back to normal, backing up 80gb of data a reformatting sd card, but what is wrong with sim management - hammering battery heavily, on gsam pro - showing 75 % of battery consumed by combined app CPU !!!
What is could be???? Tried sim 1 and sim 2 tray no difference. I know there is bug which keep Phone idle high, but this is nothing against sim management, anyone with any suggestions??? Many thanks..
ok, find problem, it was corrupted photos and video file on sd card. all back to normal SOT 12-13 hour per charge..
How did you identify the corrupt photo/video? I am having similar problem.

I am now experiencing the same thing. Could you please elaborate?
I just switched devices and transfered the content from my daily driver P2 to my spare P2 via Nandroid/TWRP.
I think I've had this problem before and that it had something to do with using airplane mode for an extended period of time.

I received a free replacement battery from T Mobile in january for my MDA Compact lll. But ever since the first full charge of the new battery, the phone still goes to zero battery power in less than 24 hours, even on standby and no use. Today, with battery freshly charged at 100%, I turned off Bluetooth, Beam and quit all running programs.
3 hours later the battery was at 88% not having used it at all, just standby. Another hour and 20 minutes later it's down to 79%! That means it's losing 20% every 4 hours or so while doing nothing. This is ridiculous, it's not even close to what the standby time is meant to be, which is somewhere over 150 hours. What am I supposed to do, would a hard reset do anything?
hav u overclocked ur processor??????
Try the phone in flightmode check the usage then.. Maybe try to update the radio rom of t-mobile website..

Nope. And I'm using the WM5 Rom as it came with the phone from T Mobile.
I've never tried flashing a new rom or overclocking the cpu.

What's flightmode and how do I find it? The radio rom? I don't even use the radio
Can anyone else help please?
Go download BatteryStatus plugin and under its settings have it display your power drain and cpu usage.
fubofo, did that, it gave me 201MHz.
Anyway, I had a breakthrough. I backed up everything to my hard drive then did a hard reset. I removed my 2GB storage card and rebooted the MDA. So now it's barebones. The battery life is awesome now. It has only gone down 15% in 19 hours on standby, which means it's definitely capable of lasting a few days.
Now I have to figure out what exactly was draining it, either a program that was on the device, or something on the storage card.

Good point. It's a sandisk 2GB. Are they known for causing battery drain?
I'm still lost on this one.
Well, it's not the storage card. After restoring my backup and replacing the storage, the battery life started depleting rapidly again. I removed the storage card, and battery still bombing. I started removing programs one by one until I was down to 2 programs, TCPMP ( used for viewing youtube videos) and Opera. I can't see that those would affect anything, and they weren't running anyway. All running programs were closed down, bluetooth off, I mean wtf, there were no programs running and the battery is going down fast. What the hell could be depleting the battery when no programs are running? Yet the battery is fine after a hard reset but before I restore my backup!
Hi guys,
I have been using almost all custom roms for redmi 1s. It's quite frustrating that for every week the memory card is getting corrupted or formatted and I see a message that "memory card is not inserted". I try to remove the battery and remove SD card and put it back then the memory shows it's empty. Even it happens for internal storage when I connect to my windows PC. It happened thrice. Soon after I stopped connecting to PC. Please help me in fixing this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the memory card on a computer? It sounds like a faulty or fake card!

Thank you for your reply @david_inuk .
Yes, it was working fine in PC. Yesterday it stopped working completely. I'm buying strontium nitro 32 GB suggest me any good memory cards (32 GB + promising speed + promising warranty) .
Small query, is there any chances that due to over heat memory card fails or gets flashed because for me almost in every custom rom mobile is getting heated upto 75 degC
While charging.
And the same was happening with internal storage as well. Where do I'm going wrong?
mobile never gets heated upto 75 while charging on any rom, maybe you are using it while charging so never use mobile when its charging, and about card i think its a card problem try any other card, and tell what happens.
Yes, i was been testing with 8 GB memory card its working fine. The problem was in MC thank you so much @nishant12819...
Yes my mobile CPU is getting heated upto 72+ degree C..... Even if it is not on charging. Almost with all custom rom. Im using atleast 50apps and battery backup is also not good 4 or less hours of screen time(with greenify and ds battery saver).. Suggest me if any tips... with wakelock detector im blocking some of the wakelocks but eventhough its same. On GPS and Google maps while travelling around 50Kms it lasted 3hours

Maybe is battery wrong.
There may be a hardware issue. Did you bring it to the Samsung service? You might get a replacement...
I have owned this phone for about 3 days, but I have some battery issues.
I attached 3 pictures, and on the first picture, you can see there appears to be no wakelocks, but on the 2nd picture, the Android OS used the vast majority of my battery life, and the 3rd picture, Android System has a lot of "Wake Up Device" (i don't know what the number means is it minutes?)..
I have uninstalled/disabled most of the apps I don't need, and have the brightness set to low, and on airplane mode with all sync off, and zenmotion turned off, and this still happens. I lost about 11% battery overnight with this problem. It seems like when I am using the device, the battery drops a percent every minute even when I am just scrolling through the Settings.
I only used about 1 hour screentime on this phone and the rest on idle.
I already installed both system updates.
Does anyone know why this happens? I know there is a memory leak problem, but I saw on another thread other people don't have that bad of a drain anymore...

For battery draining assistance see ZenUI app called ASUS Support: Apps/ASUS Support/Assistance/Battery/Battery drains fast/follow detailed troubleshooting steps. If battery still draining, recommend updating to latest firmware version and then performing a factory data reset. Please ensure to back up all important data as this will erase all data.

Mine seemed fine for a week and then I got this today. Pretty much done with it. Can't even get it to factory reset.

Battery drain issue still not fixed with updates???
Disable PC Link and Party Link default apps, worked for me. They're default apps using cpu all the time like they're SO Android... Disable all default apps that you don't use too
I've got here two brand new models, which differ only for touch and battery version (Z2C3 01040005 1525 and ... 1526)
The 1526 doesn't show any drain. The 1525 does, as of its very first boot. I tried keeping same settings of course.
I'd like to point out that when connected and charging it shows big steps like going from 63 to 72% and it also reaches 100% in less than 60 mins.
When disconnected the discharge path exhibits about 1:15min of operation.
May I suspect the battery is defective?
PS: after a factory reset from recovery seems have fixed the problem for now at least...
Asus Zen phone 2 laser battery drain ?
I made an account with this website and took the time to write this, so I can let users who own this phone know one of the
biggest battery drain features I've found......DISABLE HOMESCREEN APP MOVEMENT SENSOR, in app icon settings.
When you tilt your phone app icon adjust to the tilt, yes looks cool until you realize how much battery you could save by leaving then static and not constantly running a fDucking tilt sensor.
hello,my zenfone ze551ml might be going to upgrade to mm 6.0, please tell me is it marshmallow stock rom camera better than 5.0? is it 6.0 have setting sd card become internal storage? is it 6.0 have mass big storage not just mtp when connected to pc ?

I have the galaxy a5 2017 SM-A520F i have a bad issue where something is keeping the phone from going into "deep-sleep" mode when the screen is off.
This results in battery going down about 2% per/hour, so battery will go dead with in 2-4days when its not been used.
I have no sim card, Bluetooth, WiFi, nfc all off, areoplane mode and in battery saver mode.
I have tried a few xda custom roms, android-10 with latest twrp & rooted, and google account activated. But also drains if i reset and flash the rom and dont add an account.
I have reformatted and reset all partitions multiple times, no sdcard loaded.
With my old android7 stock rooted rom, i would get a month of standby.
Attached is a Screen of BatteryGuru.
Looking at the attached pic I see mmc2_detect wakelock is going for most of the time, web says its caused by a bad sdcard or internal storage, but i have formatted /data and /system multiple times, and i have no sdcard.
I know that old Samsung phones have the issue with the internal storage going bad, and getting high error rates, could this be causing it?
Whats that gnss_ipc wake lock?
Could it be due to my Australian phone not working with international roms? i also had the same battery issue with my old s7.
