Gameloft scam?

When I purchase game in canada from the gameloft website, they send me a text telling me to txt to 60999 and 2.50 charge will apply. So I bought two games from them and they charged me 5$ last month. The company they use is txtnation. Com, this month I did not buy any game and they charged me another 12.50.... Now when I call gameloft about it they tell me they don't see the 12.50... And deny 60999 is their services.. Any insight on this anyone?

The texts I get from Gameloft when I buy a game provides me a link to download the game... I have not gotten anything telling me to text another number...
I have purchased 4 games from them so far.

Did you check the url of the site, you thought was gameloft??
sounds like a classic phishing scam to me

Yea its gameloft website. It detects my phone and when I type in my phone number, it gives me the games I've bought before.

O and i called them, they confirmed that I bought two games from them but can't do anything about the other charges because their billing department is not live. I need to email their support department for that. Either way the guy on the phone denied 60999 is associated with them.... Even though that's the number they used to send me my games... And of course the person has records of those two transactions. So the website is 100%legit.

I never texted them or received a text. I just put my phone number and email and just download the games. If I want to redownload them I just go into my download section and that's it.
At first I had trouble when I downloaded my games again and didn't know about the my downloads section.

How do they charge you then? There's no such option for me. I use the stock android browser when buying the games.

Is your carrier supported by gameloft?
you can do it with credit card/debit and they send the download link to your phone.

I buy games from my desktop computer. I created an account on Gameloft.com and buy games through there. Only when I created my account was I able to see my purchase history and was given the option to re-download games...

Just got a trial version. and then it gave me an option to buy or cancel. I chose cancel and then the game downloaded and loaded up as if i pressed BUY and then i received a text. reads; txtNation. Thanks for your purchase. with a pin code and cost. with a website of sd.txtnation.com...
is my carrier being charged and it will show up on my next bill?? or what?

are there any additional charges?

Anyone had same thing?/what were your results?

Mr_Rabo, You can buy games through your carrier and it shows up on your bill so I would think that's what happened to you.

Gameloft UK giving free games this weekend for 2 hours

Gameloft UK is having a promotion this weekend, offering free games. Unfortunately offer is available only for UK. Any UK users willing to post the download links so we can get the games too ?

Looks like it's redirecting me to www.gameloft.com, but if i change my country in the settings on their site, i can download the game as well

Nope, i made a mistake. Your can download 1 game every day from friday to sunday only for a period of 2 hours. So one more game tommorow and Gameloft promotion is over for now.

Ok, so what time do those two hours begin?

Last time this happened we got Brothers in Arms 2 which was compatible.

Got my One X today, the salesman did a factory reset and it deleted the original songs of my HTC One X
Can someone upload them please?
I mean the songs music not ringtones

Hey guys samsung e store haa shipped my device via aramex courier... I have read horrible reviews about this company online on ebay forums!
Anybody got their device shipped recently by this courier? Plz help.
The status on putting my shipment number on aramex website is "invalid number/data not available"

Run before mods close your thread. Heh. Okay seriously this is the kind of questions the Indian thread would have served.
To answer your query. No aramex is pretty good. I get about 3 shipments every month and its smooth. They are showing invalid number because the shipping record is not entered into the system yet. Try in the morning - it should be there.

I've also ordered from samsung estore and they have also shipped it via ARAMEX....

This is the worst Courier as they take like ages to deliver , not scaring you , but my experience , that this company almost took 1month to deliver a shipment that started from Delhi to Bangalore and this was about 2years back not sure about the service now , so whoso ever using this company to deliver any products i dont buy from them.:good:

I am not in india, but i have been sent stuff via aramex. One word to describe them: awful! the messed up the taxes (their fault), and i had to threaten to complain at Consumer Protection Authority to have them sort it out. They folded to the threat, and that saved me 300$.

Unfortunate i Placed an order 3days back from Homeshop18 of a Laptop Lenovo , i Just received a message stating that you will receive the order in 1 or 2 business working days and the tracking number is this you can logon to Aramex page and check. Keeping my fingers crossed.

First time ever got good service came back home from office and the order has arrived
