Gameloft scam?

When I purchase game in canada from the gameloft website, they send me a text telling me to txt to 60999 and 2.50 charge will apply. So I bought two games from them and they charged me 5$ last month. The company they use is txtnation. Com, this month I did not buy any game and they charged me another 12.50.... Now when I call gameloft about it they tell me they don't see the 12.50... And deny 60999 is their services.. Any insight on this anyone?

The texts I get from Gameloft when I buy a game provides me a link to download the game... I have not gotten anything telling me to text another number...
I have purchased 4 games from them so far.

Did you check the url of the site, you thought was gameloft??
sounds like a classic phishing scam to me

Yea its gameloft website. It detects my phone and when I type in my phone number, it gives me the games I've bought before.

O and i called them, they confirmed that I bought two games from them but can't do anything about the other charges because their billing department is not live. I need to email their support department for that. Either way the guy on the phone denied 60999 is associated with them.... Even though that's the number they used to send me my games... And of course the person has records of those two transactions. So the website is 100%legit.

I never texted them or received a text. I just put my phone number and email and just download the games. If I want to redownload them I just go into my download section and that's it.
At first I had trouble when I downloaded my games again and didn't know about the my downloads section.

How do they charge you then? There's no such option for me. I use the stock android browser when buying the games.

Is your carrier supported by gameloft?
you can do it with credit card/debit and they send the download link to your phone.

I buy games from my desktop computer. I created an account on Gameloft.com and buy games through there. Only when I created my account was I able to see my purchase history and was given the option to re-download games...

Just got a trial version. and then it gave me an option to buy or cancel. I chose cancel and then the game downloaded and loaded up as if i pressed BUY and then i received a text. reads; txtNation. Thanks for your purchase. with a pin code and cost. with a website of sd.txtnation.com...
is my carrier being charged and it will show up on my next bill?? or what?

Mr_Rabo, You can buy games through your carrier and it shows up on your bill so I would think that's what happened to you.

I could but i dont remember this being a stock .apk I had to pay for it. If anyone could confirm(not OP) that this wouldnt be considered piracy I could uppit for you.

It would be piracy, not a system app
It was free for a certain time but its not now

if the op downloaded the free version when it was free, then he just needs another copy of that apk. EA tracked which phones unlocked the game via their server, so now when someone who didn't unlock back then runs the game, it says it must be bought. But if the op is telling the truth, then the same apk would unlock fine for him since it would check his device id. Just putting that out there..............

Copyright infringement is obviously NOT supported by xda. Even if you got it when it was free, it's not now. This thread needs to be deleted now and anyone that gives the apk is in violation of copyright infringement. I suggest reading the rules before posting or you will get banned.

I support development and so...I buy apps & games when I know some one put work in on it as I would hope others would do for mine, but I could care less about a game that's very old now and once was free. I really don't see that as being a petty thief. I would not be posting it as I know the rules(& more importantly I don't have it to share), but I wont start preaching to anyone (or playing I want to be a federal agent one day if developing fails.lol.) Besides hasn't anyone seen sister act with whoopi Goldberg? If not you can get a copy on www.___.com?:confused:jk.close the thread.lol.

Don't do that.

The Need for Speed Apk in and of itself is not warez to post. The apk distributed by EA contains both the trial version & the paid App, all in one, and they validate on EA's Servers. Since the OP is asking for a STOCK apk, not a cracked one, this thread will remain open.
An example of this turning into a Warez thread would be if somebody were to post a hacked copy of NFS, as opposed to the stock copy.
All references to getting/using warez removed. Any further references will also be deleted.

Galaxy Gifts Asphalt perk

Has anyone received the free car pack that is supposed to come with Asphalt 8 via the Galaxy Gifts promo? I have tried and tried and have found no way of unlocking this. I hope this is not another case of Samsung screwing Canadians.

That did indeed unlock the class A car pack. Thank you. That does seem like an obscure way to include a free IAP. I jumped direct into the game the first time.

Do you have to purchase the game first, or it comes free with the tablet?

Asphalt 8 is free anywhere, be it in ios or android. Car packs are not, it's an in game purchase with real money.
Basically, Samsung unlocks a free car pack for you for free if you buy a tab s, i dont know about the other Samsung tablets though.

I had a different problem wth said game. The version on my Tab S was an older one, which I was unable to update or connect to my Google+ account for the trophies. I could tell it was old because I had played the game before on my Nexus 10. So I hit the Play store but it wouldn't recognize my installation and offer to update it. I installed anyway and had 2 versions of Asphalt 8 side by side. After I rooted, I removed the old one. No free DLC for me, I guess.

Looking for Modern Combat 5 Amazon version

Google Play version does worth with Amazon game controller, I just needed to pull out the Logitech K400r keyboard/mouse dongle out.

Amazon pulled Modern Combat 5 from their app store, not sure why, can't find any info on it. So if anyone still has it installed, can you make the apk of it available to me? The google play version doesn't seem to work with the game controller on the AFTV.

Modern Combat 5 is not free so I think you are asking for something that is not allowed on here.

It actually was free on the Amazon App store. Was on it for at least 3-4 months, since I got my AFTV in Aug I think, till recently. Which is why I paid for it on Google Play, thinking it was going to work with the gaming controller, since the one I had from Amazon App Store did. This is why I'm asking if anyone has the apk for it. I had it installed till recently when I did a fresh install for the HD I got for my AFTV.
It would be nice to be able to actually play the game I purchased.

It was not free, cause I just bought it a bout two weeks ago after getting fiinished with Shadowgun.

You seem to be lost here.
Go to your Amazon account, look up You Apps & Devices and try to find Modern Combat 5. You will NOT. As I stated, it got pulled from the Amazon App Store. It didn't cost on the Amazon App Store, it was free. It was there for at least 3 months that I know of. That being said, I did NOT have a problem buying it from the google play store, I am more then willing to share a screenshot of what apps I have purchased from the google play store, with it being the last one I bought, on 1-13-2015.
The problem is, the MC5 from Google Play store doesn't work with the Amazon Game Controller. The one that was on Amazon App Store did. This is why I am asking if anyone has the apk for it, so I can play my purchased content with my game controller.

How much is Amazon selling Modern Combat 5 for? Can you find it? You claimed you bought it 2 weeks ago, so why isn't it listed?

Anyways, I figured out the problem I'm having with my PAID google store version, I needed to pull my bluetooth keyboard dongle out. For various reasons it take precedence over the gamepad. I didn't have the keyboard when I played it last.

I'm confused? They all cost money.. Maybe try using Google and see if you can find it?

I never said they were selling it at the moment, I said when they were selling it that it was never free. Its not an amazon at the moment, but that could be a glitch, cause I have seen other apps disappear too then return days later.

Which I thought was weird at the time because MC4 cost money. I thought MC5 maybe made money from in app purchases. I didn't play the game too far, just enough to know that I did like it would spend time on it at some point.
And I thought the google play version wasn't working with my gamepad, but that isn't the case, so everything works out (cept for having to unplug my keyboard).

How did you get the Play Store version to work? Do you have Google Services installed?
I've installed it with AGK Fire, but the game wouldn't even start due to the lack of Googleness.

Then you need to pester amazon to allow the google services to be included in an update.

In regards to the Google Play version of Modern Combat 5 Blackout, it is currently being offered free on Google Play. I installed it on my Tab 3 8.0 only after seeing in the Play store while picking which apps I wanted to update. The game is playable on the Tab, obviously, but not on my Fire TV. As far as having Google Play services installed, I currently do, and my Fire is rooted. The game loads as it should, and I'm able to press a button on my Nyko Play Pad Pro to skip something in the very beginning of the game, but after that it doesn't respond anymore. I can't even do anything with the mouse except move the gun around.
