[Q] vs985 backup nv downgrade to 10b lost imei restored imei lost calling have text - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So these are the steps I tried to do, and would like to know if there is a solution out there.
I got a vs985 G3, with 12b
First I backed up my nv information, including my imei. Also saved it as a file which had it's ESN (XXE1ACEE) as part of the file name.
Tried to flash back to 10b with the tot Upgrade DL method, but got a factory reset status 2, so I flashed with Board DL method and got it to work, my IMEI was then set to 0000 0000 0000 000. Flashed back over my IMEI from my nv backup and got texting and internet back. But looking at the ESN from the program was XXA190EE instead of the original XXE1ACEE (I don't know if this is relevant, just including it).
When I go to dial the *#06# I get Connection problem or invalid MMI code.
I have done a factory reset, I have flashed a different rom, I have done another factory reset, I have flashed the 10b back and I have re-upgraded back up to 12b with another factory reset , I have gotten a new sim card. Anything I might be missing? I have done a search, but have turned up with not so relevant results or posts with no answers. Thanks

Followup for anyone else who has these problems, obviously the important first step is to backup your NV partition, I used QPST 2.7 Build 2402 Solcam before I started all this hockeyed stuff, so if you lose your IMEI and can't rebuild it you are proper boned. Back it up, and restore if necessary.
But to get back calling, texting, internet, and even better root ability use the KDZ method after restoring your IMEI, outlined http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/guide-flash-to-stock-10b-kdz-method-t2928140
After all my hair pulling it was simple and painless. Except the stress.

restoring efs with nvtools/qpst

hi guys, i flashed the lte modem on my phone and it seems that its wiped out my efs folders, ive been trying to restore my efs folder with nvtools and qpst, neither seems to work since somehow dm mode is not responding to them
any solns? ty in advance for any help
a couple of things:
ive already odin'd back to stock, no luck on restoring efs(perhaps im doing something wrong?) i dialed *#7284# and put it into the RNDIS+DM+MODEM mode, nvtools says phone failed to answer while QPST says that comm7(the samsung serial port) is not a phone
its pretty had to do this since the phone is rebooting itself every other minute
Questions and help issues go in Q&A
Thread moved
Thanks

Been there, sucks. For me to get out of the constant restarts I had to flash the lte modem again. Flash stock (odin) flashed cwm (odin), put the modem on my external sd card and flashed that.At least that way I could work on it a little. And below is basically what I did to finally get it to work. Hard to say all my steps as I was trying everything.
Well I dont really know how I got mine back to life, tried all the standard stuff from the threads, got my imei back but had no network, network type, service nothing helped. last resort I said whatever ill try anything now. Came across this
http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-n...3g4g-aws-bands-on-att-galaxy-note-2-sgh-i317/
whatever it did it restored everything (cold see carrier, network, etc)but corrupted imei, next i followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
If you need this is a complete no imei nv backup I used before flashing my imei with the generator
http://db.tt/4hunZ7qy
used the imei generator, then the writer (link on post does not work for the imei generator,so found it here
http://d-h.st/vVV
Wrote my imei back and presto, back in action. Fully functional again, including 4G
Like I said this was a last resort, but worked

+1
got it fixed on friday, was so tired that i went to sleep
basically i followed someone's post on the forum(forgot name) and flashed the tmo modem, since the mct one always gave me the bootloop, then i enabled DM mode and finally got nv tools/qpst to recognize my phone, it appears that the issue was that the drivers does not recognize the new modems..
anyway, once i was done restoring nv, i flashed the tmo lte modem and paranoid android
now i have my imei back and i can use lte
although my bluetooth address still says unknown..not sure if normal
My bluetooth also says unavailable, I would think if you are not hooked up to bluetooth then it should say unavailable. Im to scared to flash the tmo lte modem again...

Lost and restored IMEI, still only on EDGE

Hey everyone, so somehow, by flashing a kernel, I lost my IMEI/EFS folder. Of course, I didn't have it backed up to begin with. I restored my IMEI using QPST, but I still only manage to connect to EDGE. I restored an old stock rooted nandroid and tried again, to no avail.
In settings, I am still missing my ERI version, and, as I said before, I can connect to EDGE, make phone calls, receive texts, etc. but no data, so something is definitely missing.
Could somebody give me the definitive method to repair this problem? Thanks!
Ok....tried to Odin back to Stock rooted (Root69) and I'm hung at the Samsung boot screen. Can anyone lend a hand?
EDIT: Fixed with factory reset. Still stuck on EDGE...
Can you clear the imei number with this tool?

I would suggest warranty replacement as the best option. I ran into the same issue, and that is what I had to do. Apparently, the NV items carry a lot of configuration information. After I did the warranty replacement, I did a difference between the NV backup from my old corrupted GSIII and the new one before I returned it. There were some substantial differences, much more than just the missing IMEI!

[Q] Weird IMEI issue after Unlocking/Rooting

I have an E980 (US AT&T LG Optimus G Pro), and I noticed a weird issue. Just recently, maybe a week ago, I was checking for software updates and it says "Your phone is not registered yet." I did some searching, and eventually found that my IMEI reports as "0". I have googled this issue to no end, but everything I could find about it were people reporting that it said "null" or "000000000" AND they had no network functionality.
That's the odd part, my carrier network is (so far) completely unaffected. I can still make calls, texts, use data, etc BUT cannot connect to check for updates. I know it sounds like a small issue, but it's really bothering me. When searching for ways to restore an IMEI, I found lots of information about it being linked to the EFS files (which I did not create a backup for when I used FreeGee to unlock my bootloader >.<)--but again, I am led to believe if my EFS were completely gone or corrupt, I'd have no network connection. Am I misunderstanding?
What would cause my IMEI to be 0, but still allow me access to my carrier's network?
I am willing to start over from stock, but I am unsure of which options are safe/effective (Factory Reset in settings, full flash from a stock rom, etc?)
Thank you in an advance.
EDIT: I did a little more research and I suspect that, while I'm using the stock LG rom, I did flash a patch to remove the shortcut buttons in the notification pull-down. My latest assumption is that the modification is making it (misread?) my IMEI number, but for some reason still allow me on the network. So, a new question: Would anything correct this short of a complete reflashing to stock (like with LGFlashTools or something)?

[Q] N7105T SPC changed after flashing ATT QCN

Hi all,
I have a N7105T and for some stupid reason I flashed this onto it (using QPST restore) - http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-n...3g4g-aws-bands-on-att-galaxy-note-2-sgh-i317/
This has somehow changed my phone's SPC/MSL number and I have no idea how to get it. I have read for hours on the net and tried all the conventional methods used, but they are all for Sprint/ATT phones and nothing works on my N7105T.
So I'm pretty much stuck now. Can't restore any other QCN backups or anything till I enter the right SPC in QPST.
A bit of back story - My GPS somehow stopped working with I flashed CM12.1 and to get it back, I flashed a NV Data file (QCN file) provided by a fellow XDAer. The GPS started working but my 4G stopped working. So in order to get my 4G back, the same person suggested I flash the ATT QCN file, which I did, and it somehow changed my SPC code and now I can't access the NV memory.
I'd be eternally grateful to anyone who can help me out with this.
Thanks in advance

Really screwed up G3. Unknown baseband, MEID changed. And no backups.

Update: I flashed ZV4 again, with Flashtool, and now have a baseband. The MEID is still changed. The phone went through the hands free activation successfully, but it doesn't show any other signs of activation (not really activated). I have the original MEID on the box if it helps. And I noticed my SPC comes back "000000" (I'm not sure if that's significant).
I just bought this phone, used and in really great condition.
What I did:
Flashed ZV4 Firmware
Flashed Resurrection Remix 7.1.1
Flashed back to ZV4 Firmware, because I forgot to activate my cellular, while on stock
Tried activating my cellular services to no avail (dialer codes, factory reset, profile, PRL)
Took an OTA to Lollipop (I was just frustratated, so I thought what the heck).
More attempts at activating cellular
Realized my MEID has changed, also phone number is now 000-000-8784 and baseband is unknown.
With help from a Redditor, flashed Barecee and then flashed the ZV4 modem, but baseband still unknown
What I can still do now (phone operates fine, besides cellular activation)
TWRP
Download mode
rooted
I don't have any backups. When flashing, I never wiped the internal storage or external storage.
I'm ready to do whatever I can, to get it fully functioning again.
