[Q] XDA emails plain text no hotlink, G3 only? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Not sure if this is a Tablet 's phone, or a G3, or a Cloudy issue.
but on my N7 i get my hotmail notifications thru gmail-app and i can click the link and come straight here when a thread is subscribed.
On my G3 i get the same email, but the hyperlink is just black text and cannot click.. sounds silly but im unsure whats going on as i setup my hotmail on my n7 and G3 the same way, so why is Gmail picking it up as a hyperlink on one but not the other?? I don't seem to have any options in the setup for plain text etc, and even then hyperlinks should work anyway.
My N7 is running oem 5.0.1 and rooted with CF-Auto, my G3 is running latest Cloudy based on ?20f?(sorry new to g3 )

[Q] Text Message Notification Reply button gone?

Hello Everyone,
I've lurk around the forums often. I just reflashed my HTC Tilt 2 last night with the new At&t ROM. I had the 1.59 version, or something similar to that. I tried searching the forums, but I'm only getting results on how to disable the annoying Message Sent notification.
There are many things I liked from the old ROM, but one thing that is really bugging me is the new texting box and text message notification.
Before I go into detail, On my old ROM I disabled TouchFlo 3d, and on the new ROM I've done the same, I disabled HTC Sense from the today screen.
With the old text notification popup of the sms you could see the message briefly on the bottom and being able to choose to view or dismiss.
With the new reflashed ROM I get the text notification popup of the sms, but there is no option to view or Dismiss, I only get an option to Hide the text.
is this a common problem with the new rom? I haven't seen it in any threads so far, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you
No one else is having this issue with the new ROM?

I 'think' this is a WM6.5 thing, and not a at&t rom issue. The Windows default Today screen has a nice text messages display on the screen. Maybe thats why they felt neccessary to remove the "reply" and "menu" options in the notification pop up?

This is an issue with the new AT&T Rom w/sense. I posted about it in 2-3 threads and have had 2-3 other people confirm that this is happening after the Rom update, so I know it's not a software issue, plus I did a hard reset today and the issue is still there.
I want a fix for this too, but haven't seen anyone come up with one yet.
It sucks to get our messages and only be able to hide them, not hit the "view" button so we can reply right there.
Are you sure that the AT&T ROM did not upgrade you from WM 6.1 to 6.5?

i dont recall the menu/reply option being on the pop up after the 6.1-6.5 transition for my T-Mobile,so i second this guy
At&t has had 6.5 on all its roms for this phone, likely cause it was the last US carrier to get this phone. ;D
it's the new rom, cause this was a feature on the original rom released from at&t, I have both saved to jump back and forth when needed.
oh yeah, this issue is listed in the tweaks/issues , etc thread for the new at&t rom too.
I'm having the exact same issue. Can someone point me to that tweaks/issues thread that (hopefully) has the fix?

[Q]specific: stock mail app & activesync via notifylink

I have searched quite a bit on this, and found many threads about putting in the stock mail app onto 2.2. All of these seem to shift to exchange support, specifically dealing with security rules.
My issue is a bit different. We have Novell Groupwise at work and they have rolled out "support" via Notifylink from Notify. Now, IT didn't go for the Notify-modified version of Touchdown that is a known-working solution for all Android phones (since it's a separate mail client). So I need to get the mail app on the EVO to work. Right now, it does an FC after any action - move to next message, close message, reply, etc.
So...IT has gotten Notifylink to work with the app in the Droid.
Is the Droid mail app literally the stock mail app?
I can't quite seem to confirm this - can I install just the available mail.apk versions out there, without doing a full ROM install? Everyone does full custom ROMs, it seems, so I'd like to try just replacing the mail app if possible.
And on a long shot: has anyone tried this, notifylink connecting to the EVO and actually working?
I think I've read enough to try installing the stock app that others have put out there. I think I've read enough to get the Sense app back in there if I have to. But I thought I'd ask.

[Q] LG G3 LED Gmail problem

Got phone yesterday, T-mobile G3 D851, so far have one major issue - LED notification doesn't work for Gmail. It works for Twitter, missed phone calls, text messages, but Gmail is dead, I have to wake up phone every time I want know if I have new mail. My previous phone is G2, still have it, no such problems. I searched G3 settings, left no stone unturned, nothing. Google search brings only one result from xda-devs where poster complains about same issue, but the thread is short, no one gives him a good advice, and it's not clear which G3 he has, EU, ATT, Tmobile or etc.
The lack of outcry on the web makes me think that it's just me and the phone has to be exchanged. If you can, please confirm my worst fears or tell me how to fix this.
Tnanks a bunch.

I'm having the same issue with gmail and handcent SMS. It doesn't even blink for missed calls. I have everything checked off too.
Relatively same issue here... My Gmail has LED notification but is very slow pulse (maybe 12 seconds in between, so what's the use), Twitter is hit and miss. Sometime get the LED, sometimes I don't. When I do there's about a 3 second pulse. Same thing with SMS. Thinking of taking it back and swapping it out.

Yeah, root isn't available yet, I'm on stock rom. I got it on Friday the 11th. Are messages getting pushed to your phone? Check label settings in your gmail tabs and make sure notifications are checked. They weren't for me initially.

It works now, your advice helped. Turns out Gmail doesn't have separate check box for LED notification, just checkboxes for vibration/sound which aslo affect LED. LED frequency is slow, but at least I know my G3 is not defective. Thank you.

Stock Rom at the s3?
Did just send and receive files from a Xperia z1 compact just fine. Will check it later with my old s3, but it's running paranoid.

Tried it with my s3, receiving and sending works fine, also tried if smart share turned on makes any problems and it doesn't, my s3 runs on paranoid android though, so it's must probably that Samsung messed something up at beam with touchwiz and their own beam alternative, which only works with Samsung devices.
