Hello, I got the lollipop update on OTA on my LG G3 and as soon as installed the Home Launcher crashed with this message "System UIDs Inconsistent" you need to wipe your data partition. I even tried to flash the mobile again with a stock ROM using the CSE Flash option in the Flasher 2014, as it suppose to format the data partition and installs a clean copy, but even after the flashing the HOME still crashes with the same message " as if was only upgraded not newly installed, I even got a message "Android Upgrading" when first booted, I have been searching for a way to completely format or clear the phone partition as i think it is the solution for the problem, do I have to root to clean up the partition or there is a way to format the phone without rooting?
NB: I couldn't find a way to root it on Lollipop
Maybe u should try to downgrade to kitkat first using the tot method then u can install the lollipop again

Sorry but what is the difference between the kdz and the tot way?
Solved: Finally
The SOLUTION is: You HAVE to downgrade to kitkat 4.4.2 then upgrade your RUNTIME to ART instead of Dalvik then clear cache and restore factory settings then DO THE FLASHING to Lollipop v. 5.0... Thanks falcon51

Hello,
I've tried to install new kitkat beta, however I have loads of issues running this, let me explain a little about what I did:
I had firmware b119, then I switched to B125, I've tried to Install ROM for Kitkatm But i wasnt able to achieved, then I downloaded the Beta kitkat firmware, but I had issues with google apps, then I've swichet to B125 again and when I've tried to add my google account this message pop up:
"couldnt sign in
Cant stablish a reliable connection to the server.
This could be a temporary problem or your Android device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues call customer care"
THEN, I've swichet to B111 (official international firmware downloaded from Huawei web), however I still having this issue connecting to google accounts, so, I have no play store or google apps.
What could the issue be? How can I fix this? My data is working properly, I can use the browser, but not log into google account.
Im from Costa Rica and I also wasnt able to find the official firmware used here to return to the original state of the phone.
I've wanted to have ROM HYD52ROM V5] but seems I wasnt able to update it.
I´ve updated again to firmware b125 and I´m still having this same error.
I cannot log into Google accounts, all my back up information is there including my contacts.
Any idea how to fix this?
You could maybe try to flash latest gapps.

So you can get into TWRP? Just wipe data, system and cust, and flash any stable rom from your sd

Well seems like is not working at all.
How can I load an official firmware again? Please understand that phone from Logo is not moving, or just entering to TWRP but I cannot find where to load a new firmware.

Thank you for your replay..
Well... I was very upset doing this flashing, so, I was turning off my phone to take it into a store to repair it, but weird thing, phone rebooted and loaded a screen I have never seen before, google loading screen... then worked very well finally!!
I have been using the phone for 2 days and no complains!
When I try to install Hyperdrive rom latest release 15 I select all i want in the aroma but then it starts to install only the apps i chose. It is not installing any of the mandatory system files which makes sense why it installs in like 10 seconds.. I wipe everything sys, delvik cache, cache, data.. using TWRP 2.7.0.1
please help me
This is also happening when I try to install Wicked Rom so ANY suggestions would be awesome. I'm probably going to return to stock and then flash new rom
after reinstalling stock firmware through odin and then trying to install a custom rom same thing is still happening so im guessing i should try and go to stock and than completely wipe everything and then try from there?
I'd install a ROM that doesn't have an aroma installer. Then install the one you want with aroma.

After successfully installing stock and TWRP recovery 2.7.0.1
I took your advice and tried install gpe rom and still after rebooting i just get a black boot screen samsung galaxy s4 screen
Is there more i could wipe like a partition that is still bad maybe?
I'm going to go to stock again but this time with odin 3.07 not what i was using which was a much older odin and im going to then install a custom recovery and root and please do tell me your favorite recovery im probably gonna try oudhs cwm and then ill see if i run into problems installing roms.
The main problem is the rom likes to install all its apk options for example adobe reader or samsung music app but it will NOT install any mandatory system files which make the phone work.
after i get stock i also wipe data factory reset in stock recovery which delete everything which is fine i knew it would.
This time i'll also be resetting the flash counter which i havent done
Have you tried using clockworkmod recovery with ROM manager?

I haven't but i will try. At the moment i am at stock firmware and I would like to know what my filesystem should look like.. When I go into just "/" section before sdcard it shows me lots of folders some looking unnessary and maybe in the way of installing my rom normally View attachment 2650548
View attachment 2650549
View attachment 2650550
Could this be a bootloader issue or something with my filesystem because I can tell these roms are all avoiding like half of their installation. They should be extracting more files and take more than 20 seconds to install
Which bootloader do you have?
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
How do I see what kind of bootloader i have i search google and im still unsure.
And do you think i could try deleting everything in my filesystem and then odin stock flash and then try to flash rom?
In settings, about phone what is your baseband? Mine for example is FNB4.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Reinstalling stock for 4th time when i get it up ill give you that baseband version.
I was looking on Odin at this Nand erase all and i googled alot and looked around but i don't think its useful in my case so i wont check it
there was a thread saying that you could repair your phone if your data was set to a read only not write but i checked with adbshell mount and all my stuff is rw so im good there..
I haven't ever had a problem where rom doesn't fully install..
I was minding my own business on GPe rom from Kot94h and it was good but i decided hmm this has been my daily driver for queit some time ill switch to hyper drive and bamm i realize stuff isn't going right.
My Baseband Version is M919UVUAMDL
on Android 4.2.2
I feel like I've tried every trick in the book with no success
I'm wondering if it's the team win recovery. I'd try cwm.

I've tried CWM CWM-oudhs thing and ive tried team win.
for now im going to run stock and restore my stuff but hopefully i can get to the bottom of this
I can't think of where the source of the problem is.
I find it interesting how while an app installs i see it installing like system/app/blahblah.apk and that is like the first thing it starts to install
i think if i can remember a rom usually does system/framwork or something along those lines first
I have also MD5 checked all my files and they are all perfectly matching
Any Ideas?
I have this idea to try and erase every file on my device and then flash a room is that even possible
Could someone download root file explorer and go to their "/" and just snap a pic of the folders i want to compare your folders properties for example one of mine say rwxr-xr-x
Or i have another idea.
Is it possible to reformat my system partition with odin maybe with a PIT file??
Think, why would a rom skip installation of system files? It looks like it blazes through the installation after installing a few system apps
Hi,
What is the best way to kitkat when youre rooted with dalingrin method and you want no data loss and sd card problems ?

Flash this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2707363
all prerequisites and instructions are in the link.
For me it didn't work 100% the first time, had some weird keyboard issues.
Just flashed it another time and now it's been 100% stable for a week.
Thanks for the answer. Didn't you have any issues with mounted games and the foldermount ? Because I've got many games on the sdcard.
And did you flash twrp 2.7.0.1 for ota or 2.7.0.0 ?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
You need 2.7.0.1, it says so in the instructions. I think 2.7.0.0 will also work but you get dim screen issues in twrp.
The new KOT49I.V50020B OTA already includes "External SD R\W Fix"
Features:
Official Stock 4.4.2 LG build KOT49I.V50020B GB EU+ Stock 4.4.2 Kernel
NO Data Wipe
Doesn't flash over existing Recovery or ABOOT (you keep TWRP and retain loki-exploit)
SuperSU 1.94 + su binary Installed
BusyBox 1.22.1-Stericson Installed
Wipes Dalvik-Cache and Cache partition
Working English QVoice and Q Apps
External SD R\W Fix

So you keep all your data, you keep root, you keep TWRP, and no SDcard issues.
Just make a full back up first and try it, you can go back if you don't like it.
As said I had to flash it a second time but it has been flawless since.
It's preferable over taking the official OTA as you won't have to reroot, reinstall recovery and fix sd card permissions.
Only issue is with icons for LG apps in 3rd party launchers, but that is the same in the official update.
Thanks again...just one more "stupid" question, can I flash the new twrp over the old one without deinstalling it ? I have the 2.6.2.3 or something like that...
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
Yes, just download the new twrp, boot into recovery and install the new twrp from the old twrp.
Reboot into recovery and check if you're on 2.7.0.1

Why hesitate?
Boot into recovery, make a full backup and then flash the new rom.
If you don't like the new rom, restore your backup like nothing ever happened.
New rom is smoother, and the sound from the speakers is better.
Damn...I get com.android.systemui stopped... I can do nothing, not even get to the app twrp to boot in recovery. I managed with the hardware buttons and I'm restoring the backup...fingers crossed... What went wrong ? Backup worked !!
But what could be the reason for stopped systemui ? Is it because I live in Belgium (EU-rom ?) or do I have to wipe dalvik cache and data cache after flashing the rom ?
Edit: downloaded the file again and flashed and did manually wiped data and dalvik cache.... now it works like a charm.... till now ?

Hi all, this is my first post here. Unfortunately it is an issue, but I have been flashing roms for a while now.
So last night after flashing Ditto Note for my note 2 on att, I decided I didn't like it and wanted to revert back to my previous rom. However, when I am trying to format data in recovery it just hangs. I have tried both on CWM and TWRP... twrp says: "error too many open files"
And obviously this issue has caused many other issues for me such as being unable to flash anything else as anything else will just get stuck on the bootscreen.
I remember somewhere that there is a flashable zip that will specifically format everything for you, but I dont remember what this was called.
But any help would be great
Flashed stock 4.3 via Odin and it still doesn't boot past samsung screen
Just tried using zoot's super wipe
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1983489
and once again it is stuck on data wipe

I tried deleting this folder from twrp file manager and the phone just reboots
In twrp try just deleting just that file maybe if you haven't already
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I've tried TWRP and Aroma file manager now. Aroma file manager detected over 998 files in that folder until it froze... I've also tried moving the folder into my external SD card in which case there also happens to be 335 files until it froze as well.
How does a rom manage to install thousands of blank folders??

Yes. I have flashed and booted into a Rom a couple times while having this 'data wipe' issue. However i feel like it is the luck of the draw because sometimes it boots, other times it hangs at the samsung screen lol
Should I go ahead and try to install a rom?
Is the "wipe" command issued by the recovery simply "rm -rf" or an actual format command with mkfs.ext4?

The logs say that it uses "make_ext4fs function"
Can I just go through the data folder with file explorer and delete everything else there?
OR is there another super wipe style zip that I don't know about ?

Issue has been solved. Wiped phone with a script? (i think) from a flashable zip contained from ANDROID HD rom for the note 2
for those that might need it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040941 (3rd post down)
This script does not use AROMA which has crashed for me everytime I tried to wipe with it. Really useful
Now currently running aosp rom cause I hate the new TW in 4.3 and 4.4 lol
I have an LGG3 D855 and after flashing the new cm 14.1 it wont boot to system... I have tired restoring a back up and the old system and different systems and stock roms but nothing is working.
Hi why dont you flash back to stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089 then go back and root it this happened to me about a mth ago to and the ToT method was the only one that worked. Hope this helps ?
