Didn't work in the CM12 build I tried out either, but that was pointed out in their thread. Anyways, my issue, quite simply, is that the damn thing doesn't work. It's probably the ROM, but eh, maybe not. I remember universal IR APIs were implemented in KitKat, which is the only reason this bugs me so much(besides not having another way to turn on my TV - seriously, the buttons don't work and my physical remote is long gone). Anyways, what are you running on your G3? Does IR work? Is it LG or AOSP, KitKat or Lollipop? And most importantly, is it available for the vs985?

Yes or no? haha
All Sense ROMs (BoneStock, NOS, etc) should have IR support. Most CM based ROMs (Pac-Man, CM 10.2, etc) will not. AOSP ROMs are a mixed bag. VanirAOSP (which I am currently on) has IR blaster support.

Check individual roms. I know there are several that have IR working that are not stock. I think current AOSP and CM based ROMs have it included now.
I'm currently running this rom which is awesome and basically stock but inverted sense with tweaks. Check it out

The app Smart IR Remote thats on the Play Store uses root permissions to make the IR blaster work on any ROM as long as the hardware supports it. I am currently on Pac Man and it works as long I grant root access to the app.

They actually released an update recently that no longer requires root. Very cool.
Just tested Smart IR on CM10 with the TVs at my work. Everything seems to work. Time to randomly change the channels :victory:
Hi, I'm planning on getting a Bluetooth headset that has apt-x but I'm not sure how to confirm if the rom I use allows it. It seems like the stock roms do support it but I'd like to stay on kitkat if possible (although It seems Bluetooth is a bit weird) I'm using the beanstalk rom right now but I can't figure out how to check support.
IMHO Its not the Rom but your BT Antenna that allows for it. This is built into S4 but not in S3. At least not to my knowledge. Now some Kernel developer may try to bring it over.

Odd, googling for the S3 tells me that the rom is supported. I think I even got an xda thread discussing it. Is it really not?
Hello,
I would like to know how many things does not work with the modified android if someone can list them it would be great. I am thinking of buying Nokia XL and I would like to be informed because I did one mistake with N9 and I don't want to repeat it.
Peace

any app that requires google play services will not work, however if you install gapps, it will work. so 99% of the apps compatible with 4.1.2 will work.
Thank you for the replay but I was wondering about Kitkat 4.4 and not that much from the apps than the phone. If the OS is working properly, I read somewhere that the notifications does not work and the compass etc etc. My idea is if I can use a normal working android phone with Kit kat 4.4 but I need to know if this is gonna work if not I would buy another brand.

KK will work but it will be less performant then JB 4.2.2 or earlier. thats because the gpu (adreno 200) dosent support 4layer composition.
notifications do work. they do appear in the notification shade or in fastlane. i tried it on emulator back in pre release days.
Which is great, but none of the modules work for me. I know it's in alpha, so there's work to do. Some reports of bootloops, but a lot of users appear to be having a perfect ride. I had no problem installing the zip and then the APK, and I gave it root access just fine. It's just that no mods work.
I'm asking here if anyone has had success on the G3. Maybe there's something unique to our device that makes it glitchy. There are a lot of Nexus and other devices having a good go. Here's a screen shot with the mods I loaded. Yeah, I know Lollipop has Smart Lock, but that's been hit or miss for me, so I tried the xposed mod for that.
Any G3's rocking xposed? If so, did you do anything different than is outlined in the OP?

Couldn't get it working on Cloudy ROM. I literally have to reinstall my ROM because it gives a constant error so I can't even navigate my phone

There are no G3 "rocking" xposed. It's only a first alpha release, meant for people who know java, art and xposed and are able and willing to help Rovo debug it on various phones.
Simply put, it doesn't work yet. Wait for a stable release.

Sorry of "rocking" rubbed you the wrong way. What if I asked if anyone was wearing xposed like a boss? Rovo didn't present is as something to be tested by a select few here or on Google+. It is more like: You've been waiting for this, and here it is. It's in alpha, so you might well see glitches. Give it a try.
I'm not saying he was careless with his presentation. I'm saying Rovo didn't intend for this to be an underground test specifically for those proficient with Java and art.
I've been on discussion board for ten years or so, and I've always had the problem of using too many words to ask a simple question. In this case it's: Has anyone got xposed to work with a G3 on Lollipop?

Sorry, my bad, i misunderstood you.
Yeah, it's working, as good as alpha should. Both on cm12 and stock 20h. However, it conflicts with smart cover and weather services on stock rom, so they have to be frozen or deleted. It also needs selinux to be in permissive mode.
Modules made for user apps (AppSettings, youtube in background, etc) work, modules like cpu frequency or temp in status bar work, coolTool would probably work too.
Massive tweakers, like g3 tweaksbox or gravity box + most framework tweaks (halo, multiwindow, etc etc etc) need massive updates to work on L.
Sorry for being quite ignorant
Is there any way to root LG G3 D855 with stock ROM Android 5.0?

No. There is no way.
Has anyone found a fix for the bluetooth not finding low energy (BLE) devices on the CM roms? I have been searching for months but have found nothing. I have read that it was a stack issue so tried replacing some of the configuration of the stack.conf file with stock but did not help.. I don't like the stock rom very much but am forced to use it because of this bluetooth issue.
No one?
This looks like it will never happen, so I'm sticking with stock.

Yeah looks like it. Posted this in multiple threads and no responses.
Was hoping CM13 would work with BLE but it doesn't look promising. I obviously need to just get over my irrational dislike of the LG stock UX and learn to live with it. I think I might have to go with a different make of phone next time.
Beware stock 6.0 has the same issue.. Google's bug
