Thank you Nokia7Vista-this is GREAT present for Xmas
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year
very very thank bro hihi oh my god
Now my second try to point out an obvious mistake that obviously nobody else noticed: If you overwrite the whole META-INF folder with the one of a theme, you could upload the theme in the first place as this folder contains the updater-script.
@OP: Can you please upload your update.zip so that we can see if it works?
OT: It's very interesting that your posts get moved to a troll thread if you point out a mistake.
I'm still quite frustrated coming up with a decent name, if you have any nice suggestions do PM me.
I was experimenting some short cuts to battery saving so I reconfigured my build.prop
I put at least 3 nights into this thing not including time used to experiment around!!!
So If It really does help, please click Thanks
Majorly speaking, I am still an inexperienced script kiddie.
But I do like to experiment on my phone a lot.
I'll go straight to the point now.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any phone bricking, and by applying this script requires root access which means that your warranty is already voided.
The purpose of this build.prop update is that it saves battery yet increase responsiveness when used such as screen scrolling and stuff.
All the values and lines is not original, someone used them, I just modified so that I think it fits our device the most.
I checked and it seemed that all the remaining stuff in it is compatible with ICS.
I enabled most of the hardware rendering so that when its running it will sort of run turbo or something, at least at the launcher it did.
Again I must inform I am still inexperienced but all the things I experimented on worked on my device.
Requirements:
Device: Samsung Galaxy W or any Qualcomm Devices
Recovery: CWM 5/6
ROM: Rooted Android based OS
Kernel: Doesn't matter
Works well with: Seeder(works well with anything anyhow )
Installation step-by-step:
Download the Latest .zip below this post
Then Save the file into your sdcard
BACK UP FIRST
1. Boot into CWM
2. Apply XtiveJetLauncher.zip
3. Wipe Dalvik cache
4. Reboot!
5. Watch phone Fire Up
X. Only use the QC 2.2 if your phone stucks at bootanimation.
We now have flashable version for ALL
These are lines which are already inside your build.prop by default(refered to arco's cm9) but replace values with these new ones.
Code:
dalvik.vm.heapsize=48m
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=v=n,o=a,u=y
Enjoy.
Please give me lots of feed back so that I can improve.
Changelogs:
V1.0 - V2.0: Alpha stage unreleased.
V2.1: Initial Release
V2.2: Added Network Codes
V2.3: Added Replaceable Codes
V3.0: Categorized Codes
V3.1: Codes added
Renamed Xtive JetLauncher
Xtive JetLauncherV2: More awesome codes
V3 is out! Now with optional seeder. Fixing the codes that might stop data connection

nah, but just repeating those lines will do nothing. Go to your build.prob and remove them, then flash if you really want to.
Just to be more specific (if i am not already) they are the same exact line, with no values changed. But a version that adds them without effort (because copy and paste is an effort lol)

Last I checked there's some minor error in the zip file. Do it the manual way, its more safe that way.

I'm not too sure I follow, your question is?
If you're saying the differences between V2.1 and V2.2 its only those replaceable lines.
If you're saying about the zip files, I didn't upload then, 7amada100 made them(thanks), but something inside did not work that's all.
I'll try to make a flashable zip shortly. For now please continue using the manual method.
HELLO ALL GRAND FELLAS!
I am here just to share the tablet ui mod for our galaxy grand. It can be done by any newbie but if you want the things to get faster you can view this thread.
NOTE: If you want to apply a new theme, you need to first change the dpi of your phone to 190/240(190 recommended) i.e editing the lines in build.prop. choose your desired theme and again change the dpi to 160!
REQUIREMENTS:
1. CM10.1 on your GRAND.
2. Xposed installer and AppSettings.
3. Your favorite launcher (I prefer golauncher), u can use nova launcher too or even holo launcher.
4. cm10.1update.zip and cm10.1restore.zip.
5. Root explorer or any app to edit your build.prop.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Install Xposed installer and AppSettings.
2. Go to Xposed installer and click on install. After installing go to modules and tick AppSettings.
3. Now go to AppSettings and set the dpi as follows--
(i)Browser: dpi=240
(ii)Contact: dpi=240
(iii)Messaging: dpi=182/240 (thanks to jomota7)
(iv)Phone: dpi=240
(v)Phone/Messaging storage: dpi=240
4. Go to root explorer to edit your build.prop, navigate to system folder, open build.prop and edit this line--
default->ro.sf.lcd_density=240
edited->ro.sf.lcd_density=160 5. Install go launcher or any other launcher that you prefer.
6. Copy both the .zip files(cm10.1update.zip & cm10.1restore.zip) to your extsdcard.
7. Reboot into recovery.
8. Browse to where you copied your both the files. And install cm10.1update.zip.
9. Reboot.
10. You can always go back to your default Phone ui. Just flash the cm10.1restore.zip and change the dpi in build.prop to 190 or 240 (I prefer 190, gives a perfect look to cm on Grand)
11. You don't need to wipe your data, cache or dalvik cache!
:good:Thats it! You got your Tablet ui on your GRAND!:good:
Downloads:
1. cm10.1update.zip-- http://d-h.st/bMd

For now in test diferents DPI and increase font because some people need big fonts lol.
"CM10.1 on your GRAND."
Right.... Now understand this point. It's need install Rom cm10.1 first.
Lol I install in Rom cook by custom cook and error appear. Lol.
Put a uplink to tread for cm10.1. I need this phone operational 2 chip's, sow I not install cm.
Change DPI is good but some people don't like small font. Just need increase font in app settings or in settings android.
Thanks karipari95.

The tool OP has used doesn't patch stock ROMs, it only patches custom ROMs (AOKP, AOSP, CM, PA). Which means that to achieve real tablet Ui on stock ROM one has to do the job manually, and for this one needs to mod android.policy.jar, services.jar and frameworks-res.jar.
As for me I'm currently trying, and so far I only half succeeded.
Tablet mode works and apps like settings open in split view, and I managed to have the bottom mini tray to work (look at the screenshots below).
I still didn't figure out how to merge the notification top bar with the navigation bottom bar and I'm not sure I will be able to do it, but let's be optimistic:silly:...

Do your self bro, dont just ask and ask.
This is how:
1. If you have stock rom, head over HERE, extract hidden and cache only, make it .tar then flash it using odin.
OR
2. If you have another custom rom, extract folder system/csc. Extract this cust.rom, copy paste that csc folder in system folder, zip it again with 7zip or windows native zipper, flash via cwm, boot again, using csc changer to change csc.
I sugesting you to try the first one.
Second one need skill so you not trapped in bootloop.

Announcements
07/25/16: Added Xperia and Android splash PNGs.
Disclaimer
By using this tool, you will take full responsibility to anything that will happen to your device. It requires general knowledge and first-hand experience in recovery flashing.
Introduction
This tool is based from osm0sis' Android Image Kitchen modified specifically for our device and made into a flashable zip to be able to run in the recovery.
The flashable zip runs a script that extracts the current boot image to be modified and flashed back, which makes it compatible with all custom-based ROMs.
Prerequisites
Custom-based ROM
TWRP recovery
PNG file (480x854)
Instructions
Name your PNG file to 'logo.png' and place it in /sdcard.
Flash the attached zip file.
Notes
The zip needs to be flashed for every ROM update.
If you want to revert back to the original boot splash, you can always restore your boot backup, reflash the ROM, or extract the boot image from the ROM zip and install with TWRP.
I also included some PNGs I made if you're interested. Requests are welcome.
Changelog
v1.2 - 20160725
Switched to 'update-binary' shell script; now file size is reduced by 50%
Temp files are no longer created when no PNG is supplied
v1.1 - 20160723
Fixed progress bar not displaying correctly
Minor visual tweaks
v1.0 - 20160723
Initial release
To-do List
Fix the progress bar not displaying correctly
Use a different 'update-binary' to reduce file size
Switch to 'update-binary' shell script

It can be of any size as it unpacks and repacks it instead of just replacing the hex of the boot image.
EDIT: If you mean what size dimensions, it's 480x854px.

I think this already modified for xperia m only sir, this change some part in ramdisk in your kernel if I'm not wrong. So I think this will not work, but if you curious about this then just try it.

just like what i though before , this is specially build only for xperia m. you need to modified by yourself for your kernel if you want it

Splash screen success but TWRP is not showing.
Hi I flashed the boot screen in Sony Xperia M.
It is successful. But I am stuck in boot loop.Only splash screen shows.TWRP or OS doesn't show. What to do?
I have backed up everything. So I'll restore. But any way to change splash without affecting boot?
