Hi
I want to know if it's possible to change the function of the volume buttons on the LG G3 headphones - it's currently set to volume buttons...
Maybe a long-press to skip tracks would be helpful.
Any ideas on how to implements?
I would like that too on LG's rom. You actually have that function on CM based ROMs.

Hi all,
Does anyone know a way to assign the buttons below the screen to a function, while the screen is off? The volume button is also useable, even when the screen is turned off. I would like to assign previous track and next track to some buttons, so I don't have to turn anything on to skip a track.
I know I can use the music control which is in the headset that is shipped with the phone, but I like to find out the options here.
Thanks for your input.
Hi all,
I think it is a good idea!
On my old Sony-E. you could change titles by keeping vol.-up pressed for 2 sec.
I haven't read about something similar on Android yet.
I am sorry if I missed this topic.
Thx!
Re:
Keeping the volume button up/down pressed changes tracks too in the custom roms that I've tried (OpenDesire, Cyanogenmod). Not sure if it's a froyo feature or a custom implementation though since I've never had the original froyo on my phone.
[EDIT]
Looks like a custom addition. Just saw the line "Common: Long press volume buttons to skip songs - Jon Boekenoogen" in the cyanogenmod changelog.
I'm on an ICS 4.0.4 ROM and I was wondering if it was possible to get the volume music controls?
(Changing songs by long pressing volume up/down while phone is locked).
I know that AOKP has this feature, and JB does too, but I really like the ROM I'm on now and it's missing the feature.
Is there any possible way to add this or get it to work?
Hi guys
is there a way to "unify" all the system volume? i mean when i change with the volume rocker, an UNIQUE volume for ringer, system sounds, multimedia sounds, game sound, ecc?
in fact, like the way it works on iphone...
thank you
I have CM11 installed and I can't seem to use the volume rocker while i'm in the lockscreen. Is there a solution? Am I missing something in the settings app?

Click to collapse
Do you mean media volume or ringer volume? Last time I checked, ringer volume cannot be changed straight from the lockscreen aside from the power menu's options (silent, vibrate, ring).
Are you trying to navigate between songs perhaps ? Like @tonytien said, we need to know what purpose you were trying to use this multipurpose button pair.
Nahh, I'm just trying to perhaps change the volume of my ringtone while using the volume rockers, I know I could do that when I was with stock rom and when I was on 10.2. Maybe it's a bug or am I missing something inside the settings.
I haven't used 10.2 enough to know since I've only used 11 with most of my time in the CM world. If ringer volume on lockscreen was ever a feature, it might have been removed. You could check the Buttons section in your settings, I think.
Hello All,
I just happened to get a new pair of headphones and found out that on Android (at least on stock lg roms) media volume and BT volume are not linked together?
Apparently this was solved in 6.0.1 but we dont have that and it is so annoying to have to adjust volume at two separate locations.
Does anyone have a bypass or way to link them together :S
Does nobody else have this?
When changing the volume from Bluetooth headphones it does not change device volume ... And it does not go to full volume either... Have to max that and then change phones volume from volume keys.
Is this how it is designed?
