Hello a few weeks ago I met someone with a Galaxy Note 2 who was running a custom OS on his phone that gave him Note 3 capabilties which made me wonder, can I run a Note tablet OS on my Galaxy Tab S and buy an S Pen that will allow me to use features like Air Command & S Note?
If so, I'd like to know how. Thanks in advance.
Won't work. You can't run a note ROM on a tab S and the tab S screen isn't capable of reading an S pen.
I remember seeing some S pen stuff in the list of installed apks in the stock ROM. I suspect they all use more it less the same software. If the hardware isn't there, it is left unused.
Similarly, you see some phone stuff in the Wi-Fi version. Doesn't mean you can make calls.

Hello, I own Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note 8.0, but I'm considering getting Note 2 instead of those two I got. Just wondering what is the screen difference between those devices? Some websites appear differently on S2 and Note 8 using mobile agent on both browsers. Even wh3n they are the same there is a lot more stuff on Note 8's screen.
My question is what is Note 2 closer to: S2 or Note 8? Is it huge phone or small tablet? Of course considering what's appearing on screen and hum much is it.

Note 2 is close to a tablet but still a phone. So for me it is at the edge. However, you can not compare it with a S2 it is much bigger and I think it is a great alternative to these 2 devices. Because the S2 is too small as a phone and a 8" is too small as a tablet for me as well. Tablet should be at least 9,7"
So, I am deciding to upgrade my s3 to either the note 2 or note 3. The issue is mainly cost; is it really worth it?
What I love about the note 3 are the s-pen features - being able to have that wee little pop up menu and apps along with it I("airview") AND the note 3 has awesome handwriting recognition.
Also love the new camera interface.
If I get the note 2, update to 4.3, will I have those?
or
Will I need to put on a custom rom?
Thx!
So I recently received lollipop on both the Galaxy tab s and my Verizon note 4.
On my note 4- THANKFULLY we now get the red underline for misspelled words! FINALLY.
However- I do not see it on the tab s!?? is there a setting to activate it that I'm missing? or does no one have it on wifi tab s

The Tab S 10 apparently has gotten the update. I suspect there are hardware differences between the 8.4 and the 10, and there is definitely hardware differences in the Note 4.
To the best of my knowledge there are no settings to change. You can check for updates by going to settings>about device I think it is.
Like the 12.2?
Im currently the owner of a s6 and it does fill my need of being able to work on more than two apps at once. Im thinking of looking into a 8.4 tab s or note 8 or not 5 (which ever can mimick the note 12's productivity)
Hi,
I have installed CM12 on Galaxy Note 8.0 (N5110), but now nothing is as sharp as it used to be with original Samsung ROM; all icons, text, etc. are not sharp.
How to fix this? Looks like I bought a cheap china device, but its N5110 and ive used it for 2 yrs
Also, how to get the SPen apps? cause now its useless, its just a pointer now.
Thanks.
