[Q] Screen capacity - more like smartphone or tablet? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I own Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note 8.0, but I'm considering getting Note 2 instead of those two I got. Just wondering what is the screen difference between those devices? Some websites appear differently on S2 and Note 8 using mobile agent on both browsers. Even wh3n they are the same there is a lot more stuff on Note 8's screen.
My question is what is Note 2 closer to: S2 or Note 8? Is it huge phone or small tablet? Of course considering what's appearing on screen and hum much is it.

Note 2 is close to a tablet but still a phone. So for me it is at the edge. However, you can not compare it with a S2 it is much bigger and I think it is a great alternative to these 2 devices. Because the S2 is too small as a phone and a 8" is too small as a tablet for me as well. Tablet should be at least 9,7"

[Q] Reading comics on Note 2

Hi,
Thinking of selling my Galaxy Note 10.1 and getting a Note II to replace my phone.
ONLY think I'm still concerned about is, what is it like to read digital comics on the Note II? This is something the Note 10.1 does really well, and probably what I would miss most. On my current Galaxy S2 the text in comics is way too small. If I can move to a Note 2 I can potentially ditch the Note 10.1.
So can the Note 2 do comics? What I'm thinking is the Note II has basically the same screen resolution as the Note 10.1 - that's a plus.
But it has a much smaller screen - that's a minus.
What do you think? Anybody read digital comics on this device? Also interested in magazines/books in general.
Lots of comics reader on the play store. .. you can read comics comfortably in the note 2.(awesome Screen)..I also have a note 8 which is better than the note 10.1 for that

How does it compare between reading them on the Note 2 and a tablet? Do you have a strong preference?
Hey,
I read my comics on Note II with Komik reader, and I love it. Obviously screen is not as large as a tablet, there's that - aside from that, you wouldn't mind this at all. In fact, I find it far more comfortable to read comics on Note because of it's weight compared to a tablet. Which is why much prefer using my N2 over my Nexus 7 for reading comics. That's my opinion obviously.

Note 8.0 V2?

Does anyone know if Samsung is looking to update the note 8? I know the tab pros just came out but I haven't seen any mention of a note refresh. The tab pro 8.4 looks nice but I just got the note 3 and I love the s-pen so if I was getting a tab, I would want that functionality and the 10.1 is just too big for me.
I don't know.. it seems to me that Samsung has pushed the Tab 8.0 to the point of overshadowing the Note 8.0 in the market. Plus that the Note 8.0 was overly priced over the two.
Because 9.0 is what peeps seem to be happy with for mid sized tablets. Samsung may just drop the Note 8.0 and live with 10.1 design and carry over 8.0 to just Tabs.
Oh well, between the 8 & 10.1/14, the 8 is my most used.

Tab 3 Kids != Kids-Mode?

Hi,
there are any differences between the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids and the Kids-Mode on other Galaxy Tab devices? I know both only from screenshots and they look identical.
One difference is the price.
Galaxy Tab 3 Kids: 160€
Galaxy Tab 3 Lite: 89€
Galaxy Tab 4 ": 129€
Greetings

If you want a tablet that is good for kids ages 6- get the galaxy tab 3 kids. The reason i recoment this for ages 6 and lower is because it has learning games, limited access to the internet, and over all its a great tab for kids.
if you want a tablet but are on a budget, get the tab 3 lite. Over all its a great device. Just one suggestion, get a good defender case. This tab is made of plastic.
If you want a quality device, get the tab 4, its just a wonderful tablet for every day use. I hope i helped alittle.

Thanks for your answer. I contact Samsung Support and they told me, that the kids-mode is the same as on the Kids Tab. The Kids Tab has more preinstalled apps for kids and the defender case. So I think I will use the Tab 4 with a defender case from amazon. Thanks for your Help

Are there any note tablets on par

My note 4 is defective or something, So i bought me a different phone. but i still use my note 4 as a tablet at home only. I was thinking of selling my note 4 to get a note tablet, are any of the tablets on par?
Ive played with the tab s, and it was great but ive come to really like my spen and multitasking on my note 4. I know note tablets are a bit older than the note 4 but would any of them be a decent replacement?
I too am curious about this. I still use my note but I am one for uniformity and right now I have an lg gpad LTE which is a great size but I got it when I was using an lg g2. Im going to do some research

[Q] Run Galaxy Note OS on my Galaxy Tab S

Hello a few weeks ago I met someone with a Galaxy Note 2 who was running a custom OS on his phone that gave him Note 3 capabilties which made me wonder, can I run a Note tablet OS on my Galaxy Tab S and buy an S Pen that will allow me to use features like Air Command & S Note?
If so, I'd like to know how. Thanks in advance.
Won't work. You can't run a note ROM on a tab S and the tab S screen isn't capable of reading an S pen.
I remember seeing some S pen stuff in the list of installed apks in the stock ROM. I suspect they all use more it less the same software. If the hardware isn't there, it is left unused.
Similarly, you see some phone stuff in the Wi-Fi version. Doesn't mean you can make calls.
