Hi folks,
As you all know that, i fixed SIII carrier problem while ago. Now N7100 Note II has the same problem too and i believe i can fix that too. I talked some people from all around world from forums and i wanted Note II owners help but they didn’t want to risk their phones. I think service boxes corrupt the phones’ modem and accually you can update it without modem.bin but if you want to use an official update that would be very hard.
While i was working on i9300 SIII, i extracted modem.bin, and changed some codes in it. With that method the carrier worked. I want to do same thing for N7100 Note 2 but i haven’t got any. If you support me for financal way, i’m going to buy a N7100 Note 2 to use it on that work or you can just spare me one. If i able to get one of those, i’ll fix every modem thats for sure and air them in here. Thank you
I’ll write every donator’s name on here and the total money with that way, you can see the progress.
Best Regards,
ARIZA

XDA People,
(Sorry for my bad English). I am in the way to change the ROM in my TMO Galaxy SIII device. I don't live in the States, and a friend sent to me this phone. But, I feel this device has a few things I don't like (missing fm tuner, impossibility use of Samsung Dive, and others). I came from a Galaxy SII international, which had this tools, and Tmobile, for whatever reason, drop off many features.
The question is: Can I use a ROM who give back this capabilities of other Galaxy SIII models? I understand that if I use, for example, Cyanogen for TMO, I will be in the same route again... without the mentioned features.
If I can choose, I pick the international version of Galaxy SIII, but putting a ROM for the int'l device... will broke mine?
Thank you in advance.

Not sure about the other questions, but do not install any international rom on your phone.

The FM tuner, Samsung (not T-Mobile) didn't include in (at least the US variants) the phones. No clue what Samsung Drive is, but installing a variation of AOSP will get you less (if hardly any) Samsung features - again, this is nothing to do with T-Mobile.
MT3G is correct, install ROMs specifically made for the specific phone. T-Mobile USA phones should only install ROMs for T-Mobile USA phone. If you were to get an international SIII, then install the ROMs for the international SIII.
I hope I answered your questions. I tried to answer them how I understood the question.
i dont see why we cant pull the applications from the internation version and use them here... lol

Thank you for the answers. Samsung Dive (not "Drive") in an awsome feature that let the user a complete remote operation of his Samsung Galaxy. Very useful if your phone was stolen or missing. Location of the device at google maps, complete lock of the phone from distance, and, many, many, many others (you can check SansungDive home page), and is completely free!
Unfortunately, TMO remove this beautiful chance from the original international model of the same phone. Also the TMO dialer is not good (missing videocall button) and other stuff removed (why less funcionality?).
Again, thank you all.

Ok, I see.
Why less? Why is the US always different when the large majority of the world are more unified?

Hey guys. I got this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311671 the S4 Revolution and flashed it onto my phone and it bricked my phone because it was an international rom. Luckily my phone is under warranty so they are replacing it. My question is, is there a rom similar to this that's for people with the Rogers Galaxy S3. I want a rom that makes my s3 like an S4. I want more than just a theme so please don't suggest getting a launcher theme. I want something like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311671.
Please help.
Thanks
I suggest you visit the development threads and do some research to see what the developers have brought there.
Additionally, rumors are that 4.3 will 'level the playing field" somewhat.
Not sure if this is allowed or if any knowledgeable dev would be willing! I would gladly trade my old HTC EVO 3D and a HTC HD2 (with Android) for personal help rooting and putting the best custom ROM on my T-mobile Galaxy S4 m919. I have only ever rooted a device once and I do not feel comfortable rooting this device. Understand that I will do the work, I just need step by step for dummies. And maybe fb chat or sms support. And possibly a link to the files. I've read several posts and they tend to get quite a bit confusing.
I would like the most recent ROM with microSD read/write capabilities and everything else working as it should. Although I have rooted a device before (successfully), I don't feel comfortable doing it by myself again. Since T-mobile ruined my GS4 with KitKat 4.4.4 and the 5.0 they plan to release doesn't seem to fix the sd issue, I figured root was the only way to go.
On my word, I will mail these phones out upon successful root and custom ROM! If your interested, please email me at [email protected].
NO BRICKING PLEASE! But Givin the experience of most devs and chefs, I'm not too worried there. I figure I'm the only one who would cause that. (I'm good at following instructions to a tee).
If this us not allowed, I'm sorry, feel free to delete.
Thank you,
Don

I didn't think I was going to get the assistance I was looking for. But one Senior Member stepped up immediately and went above and beyond my expectations! I knew there was a reason I joined xda-developers.com so long ago! It's refreshing to know that this website is full of members that are willing to step up and help out us, technologically challenged, and don't keep their knowledge to themselves. Thanks brian117. look forward to when I can return the favor for some other NooB!
Recently I've been looking into upgrading from 4.4.2 to at least 5.0 or latest but I rooted my phone so o.t.a no longer works. Rather than fixing that I decided installing it as a rom would be better in my case but I only have relatively basic knowledge of how all that's done and I don't feel like searching around the Internet and ending up with a half baked tutorial that will end up bricking my phone so if anyone knows how to safety do this help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

One of the rules of XDA is to not encourage n00b behavior. Since you are posting on this site I will assume that you are a homo sapiens with a brain which carries a relative power of deduction. Everyone starts of somewhere. This isn't a site for guiding you through the steps of how to do one individual task.
