Let me start off by saying yes I have searched.
I am upgrading from a rooted VZW S5. I was able to apply a patch to boost the volume.
On the Note 4, being that it there is no working root yet, does anyone know a way to boost the headphone volume. Even the stock equalizer is no good. Any tweak seems to lower the volume.
Any help would Ummmm help!

For music, Jetaudio Plus from the play store. It has eq and preamp controls that give volume a good boost.

Volume+ (payed version) works fine for me.
In the description of the app in the market is a link where you can load it for free.
The free version dont work for me as well...

the app called equalizer works too, just raise all the frequencies, can near double your volume. Does for me.
The paid version of Volume+ worked for me after I went to Settings/Sounds/Music Effects and selected Volume+ as default.
YMMV!!

I used Semaphore on my captivate and it had settings to boost the volume, I use the phone for work purpose and I am already struggling to find a headset ( over the head + wired with mic ) but I need a kernel which will bump the volume
Please suggest

Just use volume+ app. Itll work wonders. No root needed either. Allows you to adjust external speakers, headphones, bkuetooth, and in-call. You can boost volumes on all of them. It works very well. I use it on all my mobile devices.
V + doesn't work on mine for headphones.. level never does up

Same thing for me, Volume + doesn't work with headphone volume, but works ok for speaker.
I really need to find a solution, even Dice Player 's volume boost doesn' t work on my Bell SG3 (I747M)
Try an older cm10 build, the earpiece volume was deafening... Lol

I have noticed that the controls (volume/play button) don't work on my beats headphones with my note 2. Any fix for this? Thanks!

Yeah thats true you should use an app from the google play store called Klipsch Control then its pretty simple to set it up from there.
Is it possible? I find the Stock kernel to be most stable and fast, but the low audio output on headphone especially for some formats forced me to use some custom kernels. But I ultimately came back to stock kernel today. So is there any way to boost the headphone and speaker volume without the help of a custom kernel? Any app or anything? I'd really like to have one!
I can always change the gain.dB file but it's needless to say it's a weird process in middle is something, especially while you're watching a movie or something. So that slider is needed, preferably in an app, so that it could be changed on the fly. Should've the range from 55-63 dB for speaker and 50-63 dB for headphones and all.
Thanks in advance.

How could you increase the speakerphone volume with it mate? If I enable speaker then the speaker volume increases indeed, but only when I'm playing a movie or music, but the ringtone volume is unchanged at any settings! Is that how it works?

Yeah thanks pal, but I really didn't wanna go the custom kernel way.
So this mod won't work for increased ringtone volume? I don't know, but even the lock screen sliding effect sound is boosted a lot but why not the ringtone!

Buddy please Disable the increasing ring tone with Xposed Framework or SF or an app from Google play that will boot your Phone sound.

For past three or so months I've disabled that thingy, actually I haven't, I think ARHD comes with it being disabled by default. That's why when I enabled it in Xposed didn't notice any difference.

i am not sure if this will boost speaker volume, but you can try it out, my headphone volume increased a lot after using it.

I used power amp for the first time using my 360 and it worked great showing album art previous and forwarding of tracks but I wish it had volume control. Am I missing this feature or is there a way to control it and I'm not seeing it?

There is a very simple solution to this my friend! Search up "Wear Mini Launcher" in the Google Play Store!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.npi.wearminilauncher&hl=en
Open it up on your device then do what it says on your watch! If you go all the way to the left it has direct volume controls and toggles which you can access from your watch to the device!
Happy PowerAmp'in! BTW I use PowerAmp too! Best ... music ... player PERIOD
I have this launcher installed already and I'm running power amp and don't see any volume control options. What am I doing wrong
Edit: I see it now thank you for this!

No problem! Glad I could help
Its pretty ridiculous that I have to download a launcher for volume control don't you think? Something as common as listening to music and being used away from your phone for a feature of volume control should definitely be in the stock build.

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully it'll be something integrated with the OS in later updates. Or updated by the official app
