freez at samsung logo? I upgraded from cm11.
AFter wipe It booted on second time.
not bootin
it ain't going nowhere for meh^^
the CM logo is spinning in an infinite loop
@bubor: could you change some variables to ease debuggin?
Code:
ro.adb.secure=0
ro.secure=0
persist.sys.root_access=3
log.redirect-stdio=true
just run cm11, set debuging enable, and upgrade to cm12
did you try the latest build? It seems it has selinux enforced.
I had the same problem, just wipe data and cache. Boots fine after that. As for the radio, it won't detect my sim card and I can't open the mobile networks in the setting menu.

Wow, seems to work great so far.
The mediascanner issue my phone was facing in CM11 isn't happening, which is great (on cm11 it couldn't see folders until they were renamed, and then couldn't read some id3 tags.
A couple of bugs to report:
Screen backlight doesn't seem to turn off, the screen goes black but the backlight stays on.
GPS doesn't seem to lock.
I didn't have time to test further stuff, but I'll happily try the next version or any patches you want tested (I've restored my backup as I need GPS for ingress).

Thanks for reporting. I have noted it down. I noticed one more bug, that the camera application isnt present. And other apps won't work. This is because the HAL patch isnt merged in omniROM code. So, I have to make a request in the gerrit. For now, I have added the parameters in my build. It is compiling at this moment.
There's another bug. Screen brightness doesn't change when trying to alter it. It's always on full.
Is Xperia M dual C2004 Compatible
I am using Sony Xperia M dual C2004 . Is my phone Compatible with this phone? i dont want to lose my dual SIm functionality

Code:
*** Disclamer
-- SailfishOS for Maguro is currently to be considered 'pre-alpha' and as such is not ready for use as a daily driver, testing is welcomed but bug reports without reproducible steps and preferably a screenshot / logs, are not.
Introduction
-- This nightly build will not always be nightly but will however always reflect the most recent updates made to the Sailfish OS port for Maguro. It is done to allow people to get a glimpse into how development is tracking and for the development team & Jolla themselves to get an insight into how their changes are affecting users.

Hi there mmandro, if you want to know whats changed from build to build you can check the commit logs via https://github.com/sledges/sfa-mer, there is no public change log (I can talk to the guys about doing so) so the commits are the nearest thing to a change log we have for the moment

high screen DPI settings try to revert to normal,

Thanks for great work with sailfish
I have using this, latest version. This one: sailfishos-maguro-release-1.1.4.29-my1-201504292249.zip
I can call, send sms. WiFi working. Mobile data working too.
Bluetooth and camera not working. BT only blinking after ticking the ON button. But is I leaving BT menu and returning back, button is OFF again.
Ant camera is only black screen with various camera settings. I can change settings, but camera not working. Not front nor main cam.
This is a great new!
I'm incredibly happy that someone (maybe italian like me) had the great idea of porting a wonderful OS to our honoured GNext to give him new life. I hope I will be able to use this as my daily OS.
I wish I could help more testing it but this is the only phone I have and I can't risk to brick it.
Good luck, I wish you all the best and keep this project alive, I'm sure the Gnext community will be happy to switch to this OS.
Can some tell me how to build for maguro and where is source i want to test it and update it i am bored of android
Hello,
I just wanted to say thanks for the ROM. I'm flashing it right now.
I also wanted to say that the pre-alpha link points to an earlier version of 1.1.2 than the alpha one.

whats the difference between this rom and any other? No one word about that.
hohoho that is a very very good surprise thank very much
Flashed with all wipes and factory reset. No network, soft reboots every minute. But work faster than CM12.1, good responsive.
Anyway, go back to CM.

What do you mean with "no network"?

Good rom on beta stage.
WiFi scan doesn't work, no WiFi connection.
First try and I like it
Wow! It's so great that you came back with Carbon! Thank you!
I wonder where did you get sources for this, since all CarbonROM related sites seem to have died within the last few months.
But still: good work.!

carbon rom positives and negatives
positives
all features work with no problems
really snappy and fast - i am sad to say but it is faster than cm12 and cm12.1 - how???
negatives
wifi does not turn on even after the switch in settings says it is on - i tried everything - you guys fixed this problem in one of your cm12 builds - maybe yuo could find out how you fixed it???
carbon rom keeps soft rebooting and it gets more frequent - i noticed that it only happens when the screen turns off or you press the power button

i might risk installing cm12.1
editing carbon's updater script to stop formatting the system
then installing carbon on top.

Yeah, it was said uncorrectly. Sorry for that.
I mean that my phone cant connect to network (emergency call only), but obviously that problem was just with me. So, nevermind.
WiFi not working, won't even turn on it seems
Haven't checked video so no idea there

new version pls
This is a port of Jolla's Sailfish OS for h815.
Standard disclaimer applies:
I take no responsibility if anything happens to your phone, if your alarm doesn't work or if it reboots when you call emergency numbers. Flash at your own risk.
Don't flash this if you need a fully working phone.
Beta? 1.1
What works:
Wifi, 4G/LTE, sound, calls, vibration, SMS, Jolla Store, GPS, accelerometer,
What doesn't:
Camera, bluetooth, stock browser (use web pirate), wifi passwords need to be entered after a reboot, some video playback crashes (can be fixed by using software decoding, for example gstreamer10-libav on openrepos)
Possibly more, please report any issues
Install instructions:
Make sure you have a backup of anything you don't want to lose, preferably not on the device
Full wipe (might work without)
Flash LineageOS 14.1
Flash sailfishos-h815
Ignore any "no system installed" warnings from TWRP
Please note that this is not an Android ROM. Your Android apps will not work until someone gets sfdroid working.

Would be nice for someone to test. Also, formatting needs sorted for this first post along with source code links etc
OP, just make few 'reserved' posts, you need to have 10 posts to post a link

That's a part of the tutorial. If it doesn't work properly, you can try to skip it by tapping the corners of the screen from top left clockwise.

It's easy os system and very attractive to use them, hope for the new update very soon.
Great news!
When camera and browser will start working I'll try the port, till then... it's too much alpha for me
Thanks for the port!

You can use an unofficial browser like Webcat instead. Camera doesn't work yet though. I'll try to release a version with qtscenegraph-adaptation fixed soon (fixes black images).
Hello! Are you still working on this?

Hey! I've been kind of busy lately, but I was thinking about updating it recently. I can try to compile a new version if you want (hopefully including a fix for the pink screen issue).
That would be nice. Also a little status update is Glas
Thanks! But take your time, life's more important that alpha testing
BTW, is it possible to dual boot android and sailfish?

You can dualboot by modifying fstab in the kernel and recovery to point the /data and /system to sdcard.
But you need quick sdcard to not be totally unusable.
Status update time!
I'm setting up the build environment on my new laptop (it's been a while since I last messed around with SFOS...) New version should be coming soon™ (hopefully within a few days). Trying to build with a newer version of LineageOS as well, so we'll see if that works.
Yes please. Would love to see this working. There isn't enough new stuff out there for the G4 and this would be awesome.

Seems like I lost some of the files from the last time I got things working... I need to find out how I got sound working, since now it no longer works... I'll see if I can get it working again.
Awesome.
