Could you please post links for (aluminium) bumpers and frames without cutouts for SIM/microSD/USB ports (cutout for magnetic charging port only) ?
I remember that I have seen some but I can't find them anymore...
Thanks
I'm very interresed in such a product, with only the dock cut out it would be wonderfull
Haven't seen any. I bought this one which has megnet and usb/microsd cutouts

Hello guys ive been searching for some items all the week and so many reviews so many comments its damn hard to know what to get, the thing is i want all of them to work together and none of the threads cover that issue.
Anyway, i as you can see in the title im looking for all 3, a Screen Protector, a Case & a Car Charger+Dock.
Can someone recommend me on a combination of all 3 that might work, for exmple im realy intu the Carbon Fiber look that they make in Ghost Armor and i wanted to put it on a SGP Oleo screen but i understand the screen protecter is very small for the galaxy nexus and it will be very noticeble[as showed on some pictures].
So my current options are :
Screen
Case
Skin
Case2
Car Dock
Car Dock2
Car Dock3
Car Dock4
Bluetooth
Bluetooth2
Thx.
The only thing I could say about the car mount is that the samsung's one has the 3pin connection.
For the case you can check in this topic for a review of the first case you mentioned...
Thx i alredy read this review i need to know if the skin will be able to fit in the case. and if a case is realy needed ...
And what does it mean a 3 pin connection if you could please explain... thx

By looking some videos on yt, I think the 3 pins are for charging the phone and maybe for audio connect...
Wierd becouse the 2nd vid show that you have a USB enterence inside the mount.. for charging probebly...
First of all sorry for my poor english
Second thanks to ro_explorer for the "inspiration" without him i would have never had this idea
Only the case has been modified the phone is "untouched"
Connection has been made with tiny soldering leed balls
Adds pretty much no bulk behind apart from where the pogo pins are because of the soldering connection (thinking to do an workaround with copper tape who would be much better) i keep this post updated
I will also update this thread when i have more infos about charging time,...
Also a video
If questions or you want more fotos just ask
Thanks for thanking me

Different case, but same concept.
Hi Guys,
I have found this one
http://www.ebay.es/itm/New-PU-Leath...ng-Galaxy-Note-10-1-N8000-White-/130774374551
It looks like the official one. Have some one bought it? If so, is the quality acceptable? I am thinking to get one of this, but my main concern is to find a poor quality.
I use the official Samsung book cover that I purchased in grey from the UK, it is the one I use daily as it is very practical for my uses however unless you transport it in a padded case, there is still a risk of damage due to the original book case being so thin and does not close with any kind of locking mechanism.
I overcame this with an excellent solution using a protective zipper pouch called the zeroshock case which is padded inside and has excellent shock/drop proof qualities. Once out of the zeroshock case, in use it has a thin form factor which is perfect for practical uses around the office.
The case also folds to the perfect angle for typing or handwriting using a software keyboard or S-pen in its lower position and also stands up at an upright angle for when you want to watch videos or use it for typing when using a standard /Bluetooth hardware keyboard.
I have taken some pictures of the case demonstrating the above and will add pictures to show you my setup.
Edit: pictures added

I have the cover, and I really like it because of the slim profile. I have the white version of the note and book cover, and I don't want to carry it around for fear of it getting discolored of dirty looking.
Hasc,
Quick question about your pictures. Where did you get the zero case? Also it seems in your pictures you have 2 different pens - one looks like the galaxy note pen and another with the eraser? Can you identify the items in the picture? I understand the s-pen nubs and ring holder to extract them, but i'm curious about the last picture why you have a usb to micro-usb slot cord. What do you use that for?

sledgie,
I got the zero case from gearzap.com - product id: 19906 - Zeroshock 3 Netbook Case 8.9"-10.2" - black @ 15.95 Inc VAT
pens - black one is the standard galaxy note one with eraser, white one is the Bluetooth pen that is charged by the black micro usb lead on the picture
The white usb adapter is used to connect usb sticks, mice, hardware keyboards etc.

I have finally taken the decision to buy it (http://www.ebay.es/itm/New-PU-Leath...ng-Galaxy-Note-10-1-N8000-White-/130774374551), although it is not the official one (I think the official one is too expensive, 10% of the tablet's value ). I will post the pictures as soon as I get it. On the other hand, I have already a zipper pouch case which is the one I am using daily, therefore I will have a good match at the end.
Damage to Note due to magnet?
Hi i have purchased this cover and found out that the magnet causes the spen to be less accurate in the areas close to where the magnet is.. does anyone know if this can cause a permanent damage? In other thread someone posted this:
I found this in Galaxy Note manual
' Do not use carrying cases or accessories with magnetic closures or allow
your device to come in contact with magnetic fields for extended periods of
time. ' Page 180
but i dont know if this counts i mean.. samsung made it!!
Hey guys, I just found this magnetic charging cable for a really low price: http://r.ebay.com/D4Ax5N
I didn't think I needed one but my case only has a cut out for the magnetic charger dock and not the USB port so it's getting a bit annoying to take it off all the time. This one seems to be designed for the Z1 and not the Z1 Compact so I was just wondering, would it fit the Compact? I'm under the impression that the size should be the same but I just wanted to double check.
Also, this is far cheaper than most other places. I don't have much experience with cables and chargers beyond what's usually provided in the box. Can you guys think of some quality issues that might exist? Wouldn't want it to short circuit my phone or anything although I'm not sure if that's possible

Thanks for the link. I got my case here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121254732243?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
It's pretty good although it did have some dried glue on it when it arrived and the back had a tiny bit chipped off the surface. It has cutouts for all the ports except the USB. Idiots! That's the one that's used the most...
Hello all,
the guys from Rhinosheild launched a new product on Kickstarter. Currently it's only for IPhone but if we gather some people around here, they might do a bumber for our Z3C, too!
Anyone interested? Just post here and let me know if you would want it or why not!
If you want to know more about the bumber just look at their Kickstarter page:

Just a small side note:

Guys, posting here that "you would like this too" accomplishes nothing.
If you want to see this made, email them at [email protected], they're recording the number of requests they get.

Yes please.
Do it!
If they cover the flaps, yes!
Count me in!
Bring it on! :good:
Fantastic! Please, cover all flaps area leaving accessible only the magnetic connector.
@heavyhms
That's actually a great idea. I like it

Looks great but I'm not interested unless the bumper becomes a case for the back too - remember my phone is MADE OF GLASS what use is a bumper when the back is exposed (and I'm not going to class a *stick on* film as a suitable protection for the rear)

I've already asked about this. Had the same idea. I would like it optimal and the user should be able to add or remove it when he likes to.

"cover all flaps" +1
I'll by it :good:
Problem with makers is they're looking for volumes which is why you see gazzilions of things for iPhones & Samsung galaxies, which all sell by the boatload. Lower volume selling devices don't get a look in.

and headphone jack please. I'm interested. I already have placed order for front and back rhino shield so a bumber would complete the set nicely.
+1 "cover all flaps"
but it should be magnetic charger compatible... :good:
I would love one as well. With just headphone and magnetic ports exposed.
Same here, I saw that the other day and thought it was a shame they didn't make one for the Z3c. So yes definitely would be interested if like the others said before me it has the jack and the magnetic port accessible.
Yep me too, as others have said, keep it covered, and just expose the magnetic port , there seems to be no good cases made for this phone.
If they had one of these for the z3c, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Cover everything except the headphone port (even the mag port if that's what's needed to make this structurally sound). Popping off the bumper at night to charge wouldn't bother me a bit.
I've just emailed them about it, see if I get a response...
Yessssss! Do it! Thank you for taking the action ?
