[Q] Diztronic full matte or ultra TPU? - ONE Accessories

Hey there,
I have to buy a cover for my opo and I was wondering if someone had both the "classic" and the ultra TPU version of the diztronic case to help me with my decision. I've read some threads but never found a real comparison and "winner".
Thank you!

I have the matte version and I fully convinced it is the right way to go.
It enhances the entire feeling of the phone.

I have both and I can safely say that the ultra tpu bumper version is much better. To me, it feels slimmer and the enhanced corners make it feel less sharp.

I have both, too, and agree with abhi08638 completely. Once I put the Ultra on, It hasn't come off. I think it just feels better, and the larger corners do seem to offer a bit more protection. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Unfortunately I can't find the Ultra TPU version here in Italy, so I guess I'll have to pick the normal one... Anyway, thanks!

[Q] SGP Ultra Oleophobic

I have bought this product due to its oil-resistant feature. But it is not working. Lol. My screen was better without it. It keeps fingerprints and oil very much and as i said before without it the fingerprints and oil surface was not disturbing me. So what do you suggest me for a screen protector? A real one. Thanks.
XO is a very good one and recommended by many.

I didn't realize this phone had that feature. This explains why my Nexus seems to get so fewer fingerprints than my old Vibrant did, I suppose.

Thank you for your answer. Where can i buy it. Can you provide a link? Thanks.
Also which cases do you recommend?
You can buy direct from XO Skins Click me.
They are really great to deal with, and quick to ship.
Cases depend on what you want, lots of protection or light weight and basically just scratch protection for the body.
I like and currently use the Ringke Slim Click me, but it doesn't offer a lot drop protection. but it doesn't add much in bulk or size.
I also have an Otterbox commuter Click me it's a more protective case, and also adds a little more size to the phone as well.
I have the Incipio Ngp Click me which I like a lot as well. It's very similar to the Diztronic cases Click me. Only draw back to the Ngp is just the power and volume buttons lose a lot of there feel, making it a little harder to press.
Hope this helps you out a little.

Thank you very much for your detailed answer. It helped me a lot. Final question; What do you think of SGP's Neo Hybrid Case? I like it's design but some people says it deforms in heat.
I haven't tried the SGP's Neo Hybrid Case so I really can't give an answer to this question. They do look nice, and look to offer good protection.
Maybe someone that has one will offer an opinion.

I was watching this earlier when I did a YouTube search. When I saw the design for the Fusion and Ultra Hybrid, I was immediately attracted to the Ultra Hybrid. The Fusion looks a bit too round for me, which is a shame since I loved the Fusion case for the Nexus 4.
great review, thanks
edit: i think your spigen case might be ok, you might just have to peel off the plastic in the front and back just like the ringke.
Good review

I was also going to ask this, did you actually remove the plastic films on the Spigen one? because it doesn't have a message like the Ringke to remove it but they're there and I'm almost certain you didn't remove them because when you were comparing them it looked hazy.
Does the Ringke come with an option for a solid black back instead of clear?

Nope. That would be the Slim series but thats another case.
Damn I thought the Ultra hybrid would be about the same size as the Fusion... I like smaller cause my hands are not large. Unfortunately I order an ultra hybrid if I would have seen this before that I would have bought the Fusion! Anyone want to buy my Ultra hybrid?? lol it hasnt come in yet but idk I may need to sell it and buy the fusion instead..lol

He posted on the Reddit thread that he did in fact forget to peel off the front screen protector on the case. Afterwards, the scratches were gone.

That's what I thought, thanks for the update.
I thought mine was scratched too, but you need to peal both the front and back protectors off.
I have both as well. The Spigen is higher quality, but the Rearth is slightly smaller and much more comfortable to hold due to the rounded edges. Also the buttons are easier to press on the Rearth.
So far I have all the Spigen cases and the Rearth and I really don't like any of them. I have a Supcase and a Diztronic on their way. Having a PITA time finding a decent case for this thing. I know I'll like the Diztronic, but I am really, really hoping UAG comes out with a case for us (they likely won't).

Yeah my Diztronic is being delivered today too. The Diztronic is pretty much a sure bet but it's TPU, so it is what it is. It'll do until I find a better case.

just got my diztronic. give me a few minutes to gather some thoughts about it.
Edit: Alright. First off, it looks very nice and sleek, and it definitely does not add as much size as the neo hybrid did (that thing literally gave the N5 the height and width of a Note 3). Fit and finish is OK, not quite as good as sgp or even the older Diztronic cases I remember having on my ATT One X. There is a little bit of flash at the bottom edge under the charging port, so if you usually rest your pinky near the charging port, you will feel a little bit of sharpness. Other than that, the case is pretty formfitting. The buttons actually have a nice click feedback, and it doesn't feel like the case is constantly putting pressure on the buttons when they are not pressed, which is VERY good thing and something I cannot say for most cases. Overall, a solid case, and definitely knocked the neo hybrid away. Waiting for the Supcase for further comparison and judgement.
so it seems that the diztronic wins over spigen and spigen wins over ringke fusion....hmm..
i wonder why no one here mentioned the slim armor from spigen...with all the differences of opinion and no seemingly "excellent" case out there (and with slim armor my preferred one ahving button problems) i dont know what to do ! please do post your reviews people specially if you have multiple cases and which one you like best

Tudia Ultra Slim Melody Case

Has anyone got one? They look nice and get good reviews on Amazon but would be good if someone who has one could post some pics of the real thing. I have the Spigen ultra hybrid which looks great but adds a lot of bulk to the phone and doesn't feel so great. I also have a cheapo tpu case which actually feels great but the finish is a bit poor and its a little saggy.

I don't have one, nor any experience with the maker, but they do look on the thicker side for TPU cases.
Now it's working... how so?
Yeah it seems like on the thicker side.
Got one of these today and really love it! Fantastic case.
"TPU" and "Ultra Slim" should never be uttered in the same sentence unless that sentence is "Nothing about TPU is ultra slim by any stretch of the imagination."
stahp.
Great case! Fits the phone perfectly without room for it to slide up and down inside the case. Buttons are not too hard to press but a little more difficult. All ports are accessible. The speaker grill cut out isn't perfectly put, but is just fine.

Got it the other day - nice case fist really well with no saggyness, I have ditched my spigen ultra hybrid for this as that whilst looking cool was too bulky.
This is a mediocre case at best. It's slim, but has the sticky feel of glossy TPU, which I hate. The design on the back may or may not appeal to you -- I found it repulsive. Overall, with this case, you get what you pay for. I personally think it ruins the aesthetics of the Nexus 5.

If the back is so repulsive why on earth did you buy it in the first place? It was quite evident in the pictures and listings that it was glossy tpu and the back was the way it is. Surely one of the main reasons people buy this case is because they like the design on the back. The case is cheap but alot better quality than other tpu cases ( of which I have bought 2) of a similar price and ruins the aesthetics no more than any other case, compared to other cases I have bought including the spigen it follows the contours of the phone well.

Do you honestly think I would have bought it if I had known that I didn't like the back design? It looked great in the photo, but not when I had it in my hands.

Hey guys.
I just bought a black nexus 5 and I am looking for a case.
I come from an iPhone, which has a LOT of case offer xD
So I was just wondering which cases do you guys personally use and which ones would you recommend.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, so I apologize in advance :-/

I personally use the zerolemon battery case its amazing.
When I'm at home I use my spigen slim armor.
Both are great. The ultra hybrid isn't very good due to dust getting in the case
I like the fact that the spigen slim armor has the tow parts that you can change, its pretty cool!!
Thanks for your answer.
I use the tech 21 impactology case. Doesn't look like much but its probably saved my N5 2 dozen times already.

The older version used to allow dust getting in.
I have the "updated" model, pretty much air-tight.
Only downside is the shiny back, but I love my case!
I bought a "Ringke Slim case" in white off Amazon UK. Very nice fit, but get the rubberised version. The white one is as slippy as a bar of soap :silly: Other than that, a case for a bargain price, with a great fit and overall quality!
I really like my black wallet case. :good:

I would love to hear your experience with the UAG cases when your phone arrives (I assume it hasn't yet, since you only shared the cases by themselves). Especially about how the front lips cover the tapered-off edges (am I still able to put the phone face-down and not have the screen touch the surface?) and how thicker the cases make the phone. Some extra photos with the phone inside would be great as well. Thank you for sharing!

My go to cases for every smartphone i have owned are from Ringke. I have the fusion clear case and the onyx case waiting for the phone to arrive. If incipio releases their NGP advanced case for the S10 plus, i will be all over it. Love the grip on that case.
Any other simple case, which has grip and is not big and bulky like the speck cases?
