thanks guys for Ur support.my problem is solved.....this was the driver problem on windows 8.so i tried on windows7 ..and successfully flashed..bt facing some issue..battery draining faster and while charging ,the phone is hitting..why this is occur????
and how can i flash 4.4 rom?

i think 4.3 is draining faster than 4.1.2,
u need to unlock bootloader in order to install 4.4, because there is no official release, you can use CM rom, or any other custom rom for XM

Yes, i unlocked my bootloader and downloading 4.4 rom... Bt why my phn is getting hot while charging

many things can cause that, easiest method is turn your phone off while charging

HELP NEEDED ASAP: Bricked Arc after Unlocked & OTA Update :-(

Hello,
I recently unlocked the bootloader on my new SE Arc the other day so i could root it. After rebooting the phone it said there was an update available OTA so i updated it not realising that it could seriously damage your phone & it updated, rebooted and now nothing.
It didnt switch on or repond to anything except "Back" and "Power On" - When i done this with the USB attatched i managed to get the x10 Flash tool to work with it so i sent it the LT15i_3.0.1.A.0.145_GenericUK.ftf firmware and it sent fine but the phone still will not switch on!
Now everytime i press the power on button the LED flashes green on the right hand side.
Its the Xperia Arc on Vodafone with version 2.3.2 originally.
Please please can anyone help! Does it mean that it is totally useless now?
Thank you

Did you look at this thread, youre not the only one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106250
I'm not sure if it helps, but i recently bricked my phone but a different way. But it was doing exactly the same as your phone ... the Green LED would flash briefly then nothing happens... what I did was disconnect the battery then powered on to discharge any static charge left in the phone, I then connected the battery and connected it to the mains to fully charge the phone. After that, I re-flashed and disconnected from PC and powered on and booted just fine.
I think you are lucky J has found a fix !

The problem existed with the old fix by latest "Fix", still can't detect and find the network and simcard!!

[Q] XPERIA S... Its life Jim but not as we know it (HELP!)

Ok so Im travelling around Colombia and need a smart phone to keep in touch with my folks back home as I'm out here for a year. All hail to the Xperia S, perfect for my needs and I have loved it since the 30th of Dec from whence I bought it. Turns out the phone is an import from the UK my homeland so ironically 1000s of miles from valid Sony care, but hey what can go wrong?
Well actually few things, as the camera went faulty on Sunday. I read many forums and followed all the advice up and to the last option, which was to reinstall the already upto date software. So I did via SUS. The update seem to go fine until I turned back on the device and reached the twinkling Xperia logo. Unfortunately thats how it stayed and after 30 mins, I hard reset the phone... DOH! I think maybe I should have left it longer in hindsight? Anyway I tried the reinstall again only this time left it alone. 5 hours later still no change, in fact in the end it ran out of battery with no changes, just Xperia Logo. FECKY DOODLES.
So I spent a day yesterday reading through all your related forums like a good little boy and trying various fixes. Initially via SUS then PC companion and then via Rootfix using stock roms (this gave me boot loop)

* Please note I had previously rooted the phone via BIN4RYs S root, could this be why I cant update via SUS and Pc companion? I was under the impression that using these would give me back root status.
I'm at a loss now and feel I've exhausted all possibilities, I have since used the SUS update again and managed to bring the beast out of its boot loop state.
Is there a way I could unroot the phone via Rootfix and then try again the SUS update?
Why did I get error flashing using rootfix ?
Might there be a hardware issue, Ive read quite a few motherboard failures and is there a way to test this?
I would be wholly appreciative if any of you fine fellows could lend me your doctoring skills and bring this illusive creature back to a life worthy of living.
Kindest regards
JIM
Download flashtool and the relevant ftf file for what firmware you need and flash it

Yes I hard reset via power button and volume up for 10 secs and get the triple vibrate but I always get the flash error. BL is locked as I have never unlocked it.
Also I tried the unroot option in binary4root but it say device not found, I guess becuase I cannot access the device properly anymore
This is the log if it helps

sorry mate no idea then
Ok so quick update
I downgraded flash tool version from 0.9.10 version to 0.9.5 version and guess what, The flash was successful with no errors
but now Im back at the Xperia screen exactly the same as with SUS update.
How long should the phone take to boot after the update?
for me, after reflash, it takes 3-5 minutes...

OK thanks so basically whatever I use to reflash I always end up stuck at the Xperia logo screen.
This is very disheartening.
If the problem is that it is rooted, how do I unroot the phone if I cant actually get past the logo screen??
you stuck on SONY screen or Xperia screen ?

if all went fine it shouldnt last more aprox.. 5 minutes more or less
does the phone vibate in bootnig process usualy its a sign that it will bot all the way...
have you tried PM some senior member or developer who had simmilar
problem ?
it shouldnt bee rooted if you flashed firmware again you suposed to loose root that way
since yor bootloader is locked and phone is able to conect i dont think its total brick
---------- Post added at 09:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:11 PM ----------
if you still have root and can pass the sony logo you should bee able to go in to CWM by tapping the logo or volume -
have you tried?

Thanks for reply
No vibration within booting process
It Stays at Xperia screen logo
Regarding CWM , Im sorry I dont know what that is. Do i install it via rootfix?
Ps I have looked for others with same problem everywhere but cant find anyone that I can address
You didnt running any custom roms or mods? CWM is a clockwork mod recovery, so yu can flash mods and custom roms after root, so if you didnd install it you cant enter it. All abut root and CWM is in development section of xperia S in this case
Sorry man, i was thinkig if you have it maybe you could restore backup but if you didnt i dont know what next
Wish you luck and hope youll find solution!

Hey big THANKS for al your suggestions!!
I was keeping away from Cutom roms and mods and stuck to the official updates, Ironically to prevent anything like this happening but it turns out that ever since an official SUS update my phone has been bricked.
If anybody else knows of anyone in or have had similar situation please get in touch.

Thanks Man I think I cracked it and for anyone else that finds themselves in a similar position, I finally gained access via a GB rom namely this one http://www.xdafileserver.nl/Files/S... (LT26i)/STOCK ROMS/GB/LT26_6.0.A.3.76_TW.zip
I flashed rom via Flashtool and GB loaded up fine.
I am now using native SUS to upgrade to available ICS 6.1.a.45
Its upgrading at the moment and starting applications but seems to be going fine.
Fingers crossed.

[Q] Unable to flash stock firmware

I'm trying to flash a stock firmware on my new Z1 Compact to get rid of German operator branding (I'm in The Netherlands). This is my first Xperia device but I've flashed Android devices a bunch of times before.
I've checked a couple of guides, downloaded Sony PC Companion, the latest FlashTool and a x.681 Z1c firmware, since that would give me the opportunity to make sure OTA updates still works when the device updates itself to x.757. I've no interest in unlocking the bootloader or obtaining root, just yet.
First I installed just the flash-mode and Z1c drivers for FlashTool but after some more reading I installed all drivers in the driver pack. Also tried multiple firmware images from different sources. Whichever I use, the results is always the same: Processing of loader.sin finished with errors.
I've found some posts referencing this error for different devices, some answers suggesting to install the latest FlashTool and drivers, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer on what causes this error (and how to solve it).
I think I'm supposed to see a green led when the device is in flash mode. Instead I get a led that blinks red/green for a (fraction of) a second, and then turns off. FlashTool doesn't complain though and starts the flashing process. Most of the time it takes quite some time 'reading device information' but sometimes it proceeds immediately, the error about loader.sin is always the same though. The processHeader:995 error doesn't appear every time.
Any advice? Since I'm out of ideas...

What is your operating system? Have you tried deactivating anti virus or another computer?
Good news, flashing in progress as I'm typing this
I was using a Windows7 VM (vmware). I've tried the Linux version of FlashTool instead and it's flashing now. Had my share of troubles with USB devices on VMs in the past but usually stuff just didn't work / wasn't detected properly by the VM. Since everything seemed to work and install fine with the Z1c, I didn't suspect VM issues but I should have known better...
