I have one LS980 that came with zvd firmware, i rooted this with towelroot and installed twrp with autorec.apk but i also copied carrier folder with the help of root explorer (rw mode) but after reboot it dose not detect my sim, even i it is permanently on global mode , not able to switch modes. i also tried manual method with adb commands for pushing carrier folder but no luck
so finally i downgrade my ZVD to ZVC with TOT method of flashing but still same issue. i rooted with ioroot method and tried to copy carrier folder with root explore but after reboot it dose not detect my sim while one another ls980 easily work with my sim.
kindly help me to resolve this issue.

Last update from LG, has the access root with password, and the rooting method from routehero doesn´t work.
I have tried to flash a V10i on V10g firmware but it´s blocked. I had a V10G without root, but i updated to V10n before rooting.
Some people with root before, now en V10n has access root but in the Hidden Menu need a password root now.
Someone has a idea to go back?

I am using LS980 with stock ZVC unlocked gsm service(In India). The GSM service was working fine until I installed Jishnu's camera mod APK. After reboot it says Service Disabled. I did TOT again and tried pasting the property folder into carrier but after reboot nothing says still the same and the property folder is empty. Please help. I can see my IMEI and other details in about phone so I guess didn't mess up EFS.

I couldn't get the permanent unlock to work after ZVC tot either. It worked with OTA upgrade before. I just edited the build.prop to get data working.
What changes you made to build.prop?
I need someone to help me step by step to unlock my sprint lg g2 to t mobile
I restored my whole phone back to the stock rom but after i done it my number changed and i dont have my uicc card

If best we can skype call
Or other methods
I really need a detailed step by step to unlock or a video.

I can walk you through it. It's not too complicated. There's a couple ways to unlock the phone;
**Install LS980 drivers if you haven't already. You can find them all over the internet by simply searching google**
#1. Root the phone with Ioroot 25 if you are on 4.4.2, and if you are below that then root with Ioroot 22 for 4.2.2. Ioroot download instructions can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522346
#2 Download the T-Mobile Rom http://savoca.co/dr87/D801_4.4.2_Recovery.zip, The LS980 Baseband http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407584588, and lastly the LS980 Kernel https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407591371
#3. Once all three files have been downloaded put your phone connection in MTP mode, then copy and paste each file onto the root of your internal storage of your phone. This will take about 3 to 5 minutes depending computer speed.
#4. After you've completed the root, go ahead and download the LS980 auto rec.apk from Couldyfa here http://bit.ly/g2_AutoRec Place that apk on the root of your phone as well, and then install the apk from your phones file browser. After you're done installing the Auto Rec, open it. It will downgrade the bootloader, flash a lokified recovery, and you will boot into TWRP Recovery. Good work! You're almost done!
#5. Make a nandroid backup in TWRP by tapping backup, then swiping. Once that's done wipe data factory reset, wipe dalvik and wipe cache.
#6. Now navigate to install and then flash the T-Mobile rom, the LS980 Baseband, and lastly the LS980 Kernel.
#7. If all flashes correctly, simply reboot and you will be on a T-Mobile rom, unlocked for use with any GSM carrier on your Sprint LG LS980. The T-Mobile rom will ask you to perform a software update when connected to wifi, DO NOT DO THIS, IT WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE. When you connect to the wifi and it asks for this update, simply hold your finger down on the update notification in the drop down, and tap "app info", then uncheck show notifications. After everything has completed, simply enter the sim card. You will need to reboot the phone as you cannot enter
the sim card with the phone turned on. Once rebooted, with sim card in phone, you should have text and talk, possibly internet connection.
If you are not showing data, simply add the APN settings for you carrier, under settings, tethering and networks, mobile networks, access point names (apn) from there input your carriers apn settings and then save. You should be rolling with data, talk, and text!

I want to install ls980zvi update on sim unlocked unrooted ls980zvh ihave tried to do it but during update the process just stopped and it was not updated to zvi so i unzipped the update.zip and read it what i have found is that there is a check of DFFileList.txt file in system because it has been chaged due to sim unlock so the process cant proceed due to miss mathch of this file with stock one.
Now i have planned to delete this DFFileList.txt check from update script in update.zip and then i will do update from adb side load.
I want to ask that will this method work and phone will be sim unlock or locked after that update

but when i try to copy folders using totalcmd.exe .. it copies only 2 folders.. apps and lost+found . no matter how i try , it wont copy other folders.. help please. i need to unlock my sim

Hi, all I used this guide by @abbass23 and successfully unlocked my g2 sprint but 3g is not working added apns of ufone any fix for it
did you root your phone correctly because i had the same issue i tried kingroot at first it showed me that it has sucesssfully rooted your device but the files were unable to copy so i rooted it again using kingroot and the files were able to transfer if it does not work for you try root explorer its the best sloution
Am also a Ufone user, please help me unlock the phone, I have successfully rooted the phone, is there any simple way to unlock gsm with 3g support
