I need to root my phone (Wildfire S) (Android 2.3.3)
NB : my S-ON
how can I get S-OFF ??
please tell me in details what should I do to S-OFF & root it ??

I have wildfire S with android 2.3.3 and HBOOT menu 0.90.0000 S-ON
I want to ask is there a way to gain S-OFF and root the phone somehow
i am trying with revolutionary but mi HBOOt menu is lower and i dont know is there a way to upadete it to 1.01.0001
people say that the S-OFF is gain with XTC-Clip but dont know if there place where i can buy it

I think S-on means that the nand is locked, soff means its unlocked

Have you at least tried to read the other threads/topics?
There are LOTS of people that need to root their WFS.
In order to root you need to S-OFF (turn off security in laymans terms) your phone that is something only possible (at least until now) with a hardware device called "XTC Clip".
If you Google "XTC Clip" you will find lots of info on this subject, stores selling them, etc.
Rule of thumb, first search (really take some time reading) and then ask if no other person has already posed the same question.
What you want is what most of the XDA community WFS owners want.

S-ON = Very difficult to root
S-OFF = Easy to root
(these aren't actually the meanings. But it's a simple explanation.)

Go to the thread and post your question there. I don't own a wildfire, so I can't actually help you that much. There's a tool called alpharev that can be used for a few cells...I used that to root my wife's Aria....try to search in the internet...maybe that will do.

I would advise the latest european RUU

IN THIS VERSION MOBILE FINALLY I MANAGED TO INSTALL MODDED RECOVERY AND THE RECOVERY IS VISIBLE NOW v5.0.2.8

[HELP] Desire HD Orange

Hi I updated my desire hd shipped with gingerbread orange branded to sense 3.0 and I tried to soff with AAHK all it did was downgrade and no s-off. no it is stuck at htc logo every time i boot, i can get into recovery and hboot but nothing else.
