Rooted LT15i_3.0.1.A.0.145 Generic Global firmware
in ftf format only so i can flash it with flash tool
any one tell me from where i can get it
Rooted LT15i_3.0.1.A.0.145_GenericGlobal_system.zip (146.71 MB)
http://www.multiupload.com/MC3QLZRI4N
That's not .ftf but .img (LT15i_3.0.1.A.0.145_GenericGlobal_system.img)
you can create a ftf bundle with flashtool using the image
or you can try this one : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9JUKBC1J
edit :sorry this one is not rooted just create bundle with flashtool :
- Advanced
- Bundle Creation
good luck
or try this :

Hi friends..
I m coming from motorola defy..recently bought xperia arc s
but i have few doubts..and need to be cleared..
1: So flashtool is used to install everything? from rooting to custom ROM?
2: my arc's software version is 4.0.2.A.0.62..so how to root it using flashtool after unlocking bootloader?
3: and how to 'flash' a baseband? heard there are different types of baseband.. and are they based on country? like in india we use 850Mhz for 2G and 2100MHz for 3G.
Please guide me as i m new to unlocked bootloader world
aleast pls paste the link of the threads...
Thanks You
First unlook the bootloder.
Flash the kernel needed ICS or GB (see on the developpement section)
Chose the rom desired and flash it from the sd card throught recovery.
The baseband can be flashed from flashtool
kool...thanks for replying...so if we flash a custom kernel can we still boot into stock os?
and then how to create CWM recovery? using flashtool only?
pls guide me dude...

Guys can any one plz tel me how do i get back to factory original OS from unlocked bootloader and custom room, i got no idea how to restore back to factory original os, help plz.
Flash the ftf file using flashtool. You need to know which firmware your phone originally had on it.
Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk 2
need firmware
can you post a link for below firmware
sony ericsson LT18i
SI 1253-9721
well you need to know the orignal os that was installed on the phone by default.
consider this. if your phone came with the dafault firmware 4.0.2.A.0.62 and you install 4.0.2.A.0.42/58 then it will not work on your phone( although it wont get bricked)however, if it came with 4.0.2.A.0.42 then you would be sucess fully able to install gingerbread:- 4.0.2.A.0.42, 4.0.2.A.0.58, 4.0.2.A.0.62
as well as ics :- 4.1.a.0.562, 4.1.b.0.431
you need to download any 1 firmware you like and then flash it using flashtool
the links to firmwares http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22105604
the tutorial of using flashtool http://www.theandroidsoul.com/tutorial-how-to-flash-a-firmware-using-flashtool-on-xperia-arc/
however remember you need to install all the required drivers for flashing a ftf firmware. although this tutorial is old, the method of flashing is more or less the same. best of luck if u need any more help, i will be glad to help you.

I think the first question is: Do you have adb / fastboot / flashtool on your computer, with drivers for your phone? If so, rooting is probably not a big deal. If not, or if you're not familiar with them, you'll have to start there.

If everything is ready, and bootloader unlocked, easiest way I've found is this :
- Download pre-rooted rom with recovery zip to sdcard
- Download CM boot img and TWRP recovery img to PC, (adb folder)
- Turn off phone and connect in fastboot mode, (make sure to check 'unknown sources and adb debugging on phone)
- Open command prompt, go to adb folder, flash boot img, flash recovery img
- Reboot to recovery and flash pre-rooted zip
Now you have root and recovery so even if you don't want that rom, you can download what you do want and flash it.
With locked bootloader you'll probably have to go a different route.

For boot img you can download a rom and pull the boot file out, or search some forums for one posted. I am happy to post one but not too familiar with the rules on that. If you have trouble, maybe I can. To see if bootloader is unlocked or unlockable, there's a hash code. Not sure what it is exactly, but easy to find with a search. If it is locked but unlockable, Sony has an official procedure. Just search for Sony Mobile unlock bootloader.

and a CM boot img and TWRP recovery img
i will unlock the bootloader tommorow
now i am looking for this 3 files
and if your right i am good when i have those images

What FW version do you have? I would suggest you do not unlock the bootloader. you lose some of the image processing features and other proprietary software. instead use NUT's tools: download the recovery and the tool for your model and FW version, and run it. it's easy and no problem.
EDIT: if that does'nt work, use xperifirm to download a firmware, PRF to root it, and flashtool to flash it to the phone. all quite straightforward, no BL-Unlock needed. there's a thread for every tool, and they all have a GUI.
Root without downgrading first?

Is it possible to flash a pre-rooted factory Sony rom without downgrading and rooting first?

that's a definitive yes
Hello there,
I see that there are already some threads about that but i'm a little bit confused. Can please someone posts clear instructions and links for the tools needed in order to downgrade my xperia M5 to lollipop?
So you need to download the latest version of flashtool from www.flashtool.net then look up your m5's model (eg. E5603, E5606, E5653) and download the software from http://www.xperiablog.net/forum/resources/categories/2015-xperia-range.73/ here (generic just means not set to a specific carrier and it doesnt matter about the country), then click the lightning button in flashtool and select flash mode then select your software and then follow the instructions
Thanks very much for the instructions. I also combined some guides found on the internet and performed the downgrade. You should download the firmware via xperifirm, bundle it in flashtool and then flash it.
