This one is too clean, the previews come up on watchmaker, but when I apply it, my watch vibrates and then just shows the loading ring forever. Any reason as to why?

That is odd...
I am not sure why it would do that...Have you tried uploading a different watchface and then going back to this one?
This is the first time I have heard that from this particular face....
Let me know!
I will try to check back here more often. I took ill and wasn't on the computer as much.

Looking for a weather widget with precipitation

I tried searching but all I can find is a weather widget that shows the temp and the high/low temp. I am looking for a weather widget that shows the temp, high/low temp, and the chance for precipitation. Does anyone know of one?
Try the weather channel from market place. It works relatively well, radar functionality if decent.
Thank you for your response. I've used the Weather Channel widget before. It's nice but not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for the widget to show the temp, high/low temp, and the chance for precipitation without having to tap on the widget. If I wanted more detailed information, then I could tap the widget. The widget doesn't have to look pretty. It could just be letters and numbers without graphics. Any ideas?
Check out elecon weather hd. It has a couple of widgets including barometer, wind speed/direction and even moon phase.
Amishman, understood. Being a 2 wheeled junkie, I don't often rely on % of precip. I rather look briefly at the radar to make my own determination.
What about the android default weather app? When click on it you can slide your finger over and see the % and the time. Or you want a widget that shows it all at the home screen?

That's nice.... OP is $3 worth it just because you don't want to tap it to see more. That's your call. Good luck.

Palmary Weather FTW! Has Now, 2 day, 15 forcasts, comfort level, dew point, humidity, barometric pressure, visibility, wind and % chance of precipitation on forecast. By far the most customizable, up-to-date, accurate etc. weather application for Android. Also maps for now, radar, satellite, etc. as well as a very comprehensive charts menu. It is a paid app but by far really, really worth it! And last but not least it looks really good.

Yes, I was looking for a widget that showed it on the home screen.
I'm not really looking for a pay app. I was hoping there was a free app that I had missed. Thanks for all of the replies, much appreciated.
Here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20221226/WeatherWidget.apk
I do not take credit for the original app (along with some minor bugs )
But i did modify the source code to provide 12 hour pop (possibility of precipitation) from the NOAA.
The original project, weather data information, and image copyrights can be found in the info screen of the application.
The bugs i mentioned while testing out the new code:
Sometimes the location settings will not pull when you search for a location, just keep attempting or give it a minute and try again.
Sometimes there is an error pulling the data for a newly created widget, just delete the widget and try again.
Once you get a location and data for the widget it should be all good.
Minor note, while the temp data is 24 hour, NOAA only provides 12 hour pop, meaning the precipitation is reflective of the beginning part of the day.
I might try to mess around with it some more to tweak some of the bugs and maybe represent precipitation as a morning%/evening% to better reflect true pop.
The tiny widget i had to modify so it only shows POP, as the high/low/pop would not all fit in a 1x1.
hope it works for you!
Almost perfect!
Thank you for the app. It's almost perfect! There are a couple of things I have noticed. I don't see the current temp displayed. Also, the hi/lo it is giving me is for friday and it's thursday night. The pop that's displayed is 23% but for Friday where I live is 20% morning and 40% night. I'm not sure where the 23% came from, unless it was from this morning maybe.
Yeah the pop is for the morning, the NOAA kinda is a little goofy getting the data. I will probably rebuild the app in my spare time, there are a few bugs, and like you said it does not display the current weather. I will shoot you a pm once i get time to redo and add some features
Thank you! That would be great. I look forward to hearing from you.

My MOTO 360 2 Day Battery Test (with Graphs)

Tested for 2 days with Ambient Mode ON and OFF
After about 3-4 days of messing around, and installing and uninstalling apps and watchfaces, I finally got to a point where I thought I can have a real world battery test with my Moto 360.
For the following test I kept the same Stock watchface on and didn't install or uninstall any app during the test. I also wanted to mention I have Runkeeper, PixtoCam, Phone Finder, and Wear Mini Laucher pre-installed.
So below are my 2 Graphs showing the battery percentage decrease during the day and amount of notifications received during test. :victory:
(I work night shifts, so you can see that I don't wake up till about 2pm )
Let me know what you guys think and if you any question please post below. Thx :silly:

nice graph, thanks for sharing!
personally now that it has gone through a few cycles I am confident of all-day use. charging every night no big deal, and actually love the charger so much (effortless wireless, great angle, needed a bedside clock anyway) I like putting it on it
Love the graphs. Nice
You barely get any notifications and the battery is that bad?? Ouch...
how did you get the battery stats? I havent had a chance to wear the watch and im at after 72 hours, i can post the details.

Notifications Dont impact the battery as much as you would think. I didn't receive many Notification during the tests, because I finally shut off my Work Email alerts on my watch (Didn't need it). The day before I started testing (4 days after having the watch) I got about 20-30 Notifications per hours (I'm CCed alot in emails) for about 4-5 hours with ambient mode off and I still got over 12 hours of battery Life!
The only thing that kills my moto 360 quickly is messing around with 3rd party app like PixtoCam or Games.

For the tests I set an alarm for every hour and I would just swipe down on my watchface and record the Battery status. I also recorded how many Notifications and disconnections I got in each Hour. (I have a lot of free time at work during the weekends)
Neat. How many disconnects did you get?

I got about 4 the first day and 5 the second day of testing.
It would only Disconnect for about 2-3 seconds and if a Notification came through it would always force reconnect and show on my watch.
I had this problem on my Lg g watch also.
I also notice that most disconnections happen in my Car. I wonder if my car's search for new bluetooth devices affect it? Or if its affecting my phones link to my watch?
Either way never bothered me much.
I don't have any data proof but I am getting 25-30 HR life on a charge. I do the math a handful times a day. Its usually 2.5 to 4% drain per hour depending on what I am doing. Today was 6 am to 10 pm and it went on the charger with 48% left.
Ambient off, moto watch face, light alerts, light music control.

No data needed, I believe you. If you look at my battery chart, my test with ambient mode off was about 3-4% drain per hour. That over 24 hours of usage ! :victory:

As of now there's no real magic trick just do the following and it should help (it at least helped me):
-Fully Charge and Discharge your battery at least 3 times.
-Keep ambient Mode off
-Set notifications (from apps) that you dont need to the "Mute App Notifications" List in you Android Wear Settings
Example: I set my Work email (Outlook Mobile) to that list since I don't need it on my watch
-Choose a Stock Moto Watchface (Until android release Watchface API this is the best option for now)
-Uninstall unneeded 3rd party apps
Thats it... for now. :victory:

Errors and Issues SW3

hello,
I have the SW3 only since yesterday, but unfortunately I have found many things that make the clock for me not usable. Maybe you will also find solutions to the problems !?
1. Display activation can not be set:
The display of SW3 always goes on when I move my wrist or tap on it. Can you disable that somewhere ??
I go to swim with the clock and every time you touch a drop of water, the clock goes on and there are things unintentionally started.
This is really annoying ...
2. No Sleep recording and no Lifelog functions
As a previous user of a smart band, I do not want to miss the sleep recording and according to the information and work with the SW3. unfortunately
works Lifelog not on the clock and the sleep recording does not work.
Only about Google Fit the steps are counted ...
So I can also display any things from Lifelog leave me like calories, etc ...
3. GPS smartphone without
Currently possible only with the Google My Tracks app. With reasonable Running apps like Endomondo or Runtastic does not work. Here needs to be the Smartphone in the near!
This is really bad! Here probably need to update the app maker.
4. retrieve emails
New incoming emails are displayed, but you can not open the email app on the SW3. I have disabled notifications for mails on the smartphone, but i want to read it on the watch. That is I can not read about the SW3 mails therefore unfortunately. This was for me a reason to buy, and now is not there ...
5. SW3 use as an alarm clock
I would like to use the SW3 as an alarm clock. However, only with vibration. But my phone is not connected in the near or not with the Watch.
Does not work for me also.
In connection with the fact that the charging jack is really a disaster and very very awkward - I'm considering to send the watch back.
Really a shame because the SW3 would have had huge potential ...
Do you have the same problems or Let us understand this or is it one or the other perhaps solutions?
greeting
Deifel
1. Display activation can not be set:
**Agree. Didn't expect that from a smart watch that is announced as water proof.
2. No Sleep recording and no Lifelog functions
**I use Sleep like a Droid. It works great.
3. GPS smartphone without
**This is the first smart watch with GPS. I'm sure soon all those apps will support it.
4. retrieve emails
**I can read full emails in gmail. Are you using a different client?
5. SW3 use as an alarm clock
** I recharge it in the office. Takes about 30minutes. So I sleep with my watch to monitor my sleep
"In connection with the fact that the charging jack is really a disaster and very very awkward - I'm considering to send the watch back.
Really a shame because the SW3 would have had huge potential ..."
** awkward indeed. I'm sure soon we'll see charging docks. I'm considering using the original package box for it. But as i charge it in my Office desk, not a big deal.
lack of lifelog sleep was disappointing (may come later when we get a sw50 sony app?)
I use "sleep as android" (SaA) now as it has native android wear support and seems to work well - compared smartband deepsleep stats vs sw3 with SaA and it seem to match up.

beside that very much enjoy sw3 ~ sideloaded some apps over Bluetooth adb to make watch more usable and fun (launcher, calc, games etc, eve towelroot lol). unlocked bootloader so now eagerly awaiting a rom (or about to learn how to build one)
I thought the usb connection "awkwardness" was just me.. yep it'll slowly drive me nuts if we have to charge these things every 24hrs or so (with my usage anyway) with this horrible connection.. see what happens I guess.
having only had a galaxy gear 1 (both os's + custom roms) that I didnt enjoy I can't really complain about much more rhan above really ~ pleasantly surprised and enjoying thoroughly (4 days in)

You can try the Showear app. But I wouldn't swim with mine. IP68 is good for 1 meter, but when you swim you're pushing water on the watch with a lot more pressure than the stationary pressure at 1 meter that it's rated for.

Watchface for Facer, Casio White

My first watchfaces for Facer
White:
http://facerepo.com/app/faces/details/classic-white-149fc055c0f
Black:
http://facerepo.com/app/faces/details/classic-black-149fc2c4ac8
Update 1.0:
Some background tweaks..
Update 1.1:
Added white watchface with dimmed Battery Percentage. (only in dimmed state with screen on.)
Added black watchface with dimmed Battery Percentage. (only in dimmed state with screen on.)
You can replace the Battery Percentage with anything you like, and add more!
Update 1.2:
White watchface: made black stripes more black and and tweaked 12 o'clock sign for dimmed state.
Update 1.3:
Changed arrows into black stripes.
Update 1.4:
Changed the white dimmed state to the black image background.
Update 1.5:
Normal state with current temp, weather and weather icon.
And more visible and modern ambient mode.. Also better with cards notifications and nice black background..
Please let me know what you think... The arrows come from another watchface.
I prefer the white one, the black is an inverted and little bit tweaked white face.
With the black one, in dimmed state, notifications are a bit easier to read.
Unfortunately Facer isn't showing the notifications as on the stock watchfaces at the moment..

Love the white one.. think it's gonna be on my wrist for a while!
Thanks for the time and effort you have put into this!
suggestion.. mute symbol, even if just when dimmed.
Changed the white dimmed state to the black image background. Now you can see the mute and other icons..
I think its not possible to change the icon/card colors from wear within facer.
Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, love that little tweek.. a lot easier to see when dimmed and those icons now visible.. great stuff!!
some times takes a few seconds to change when dimmed.. but not that I'm staring at my new watch all of the time
Thanks dude!

This wasn't my question but I think this is a Facer question. If you have AW5.0.1 on your watch you have to choose the "Facer on Android Wear 5" watchface. Then you are using the new API...

Is it possible to create something like that:
And change the bottom sphere with battery and inside the sphere put the weather. Thanks a lot. If not I'll try to clean the watch face.
Sure it's possible but seems to have some work with PhotoShop.. But it's a nice watch for our Swr50. Maybe I'll digg into it when I have some spare time. Or do it together? Do you have a high res pic straight from the top?
Otherwise you can design it yourself vector based. But i think PhotoShop is more like the easy way...
It's worth a try...

What the hell??? You are amazing!!!!
OK, the version I first upload it's not the same that you are working on it, maybe this version is easier to work with it.
I tried (and still working on it, but I have no Photoshop, so I'm working with GIMP, and I'm learning as I use it) to make a pure black/white (and red for Sunday indicator) version.
I'm on it, but its difficult to me. But maybe it's better solution for dimmed version too.
The idea... insert weather into the bottom circle (or digital clock), use the bottom white circle as battery indicator, still need to clear/clean other 3 spheres an "repair" them.
And try to rescue the clock hands as real as I can. And the last thing, try to get better bottom line numbers, the others seems fine.
Feel free to use it as you want. I need more time to do that, but I'll try if nobody do it before.
And sorry, my English is not as good as I want.
EDIT: Clean/Clear top Sphere added (I have to improvise, because it has 31 points, and it's difficult to get it 100% real)
EDIT 2: added the original one, and another point of view (but it's not good to use it for the face)
EDIT 3: Centre Hands added (valid for center-right, center-left, and top sphere)

Nice work dude! Your background works with my face too. Even the hands are the same settings..
Maybe you can adjust the letters "SU" a bit more bright. I think the minute and hour hands in white will be hard to read and possibly need a bit more contrast. My Edifice face is a bit hard to read to..
I will PM send you my facer file. And one with your background..
We keep in touch...

Adds a configurable Energy Ring around the camera lens indicating current Battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only you can quickly glance and get the battery info but, Energy Ring adds an accent to your phone's camera lens.
Got a full charge? The Ring will be a 360 degree wrap around the front camera lens.
Battery depleting? So will the arc of Energy Ring.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy Ring can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring
✓ Energy Ring puts almost 0% load on CPU, as it wakes up only to reflect any change in battery level
✓ Energy Ring's direction can be configured as clockwise/bidirectional/anti-clockwise
✓ Energy Ring can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Ring can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Ring could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Ring has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Ring consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Ring more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.

Very awesome mod. Thank you for your work on it! Installed and even shared with my s10 brother!
Thanks, this app is great! There is one feature that is missing, a blacklist of apps. For example Play Books. When I'm reading an charging the spinning ring is distracting
Works very well. Thank you for your work.
Does it keep on when charging and screen lock? Will be nice .
Update: Fixed the issue of System turning off Accessibility Service of Energy Ring frequently, it was a Android System Level bug, a workaround has been deployed successfully, let me know if Energy Ring is stable again for you! P.S. I am flooded with emails and messages, apologies if I couldn't reply all!
