I have the msl/spc but I cannot unlock it in anyway. Is there anyway I can unlock it without a new sim? I know how to get into DIAG and DATA Mode but Im not sure if im going the right way from there? Or do I need to flash it instead? Thank you who ever helps!

Previously I purchased a samsung galaxy note 2 from T mobile and I factory unlocked it by following instructions online with service menu and so on.
But now I've purchased this galaxy s4 from Globe carrier in the Philippines and I cant do the same thing as I did with my note 2 before.
I cant access service menu when I type *#0011# I cant go back from service mode menu and cant access any options.
I saw a lot of instances of this with different carriers but I havent found a solution yet.
My questions:
1. Is it possible to flash a firmware from a different carrier to my i9505 globe tel locked? Im scared to brick my phone so I havent tried yet.
2. If my above question is possible, will I be able to access service menu by then?
3. Is it possible to unlock phone by rooting?
Thanks very much! Happy new year!

Ok so in order to do this, you must replace your current sim card with your new carriers sim card. Then, call your carrier and ask for an unlocking code when you are prompted to the unlock code screen. Then just tap okay and your Samsung S4 should be unlocked! Good luck. Thumbs this up if it helped
Hi all,
I recently completed my contract and received an unlock code for my ATT S3. My phone is currently rooted, but running stock. Will this be a problem when/if I enter the unlock code? I'm looking to move to T-Mobile so any advice is welcome.
Power off the phone, insert a non-ATT sim, boot the phone, enter the unlock code, and you should be fine.
The i747 does not natively support AWS so keep that in mind.

Are you running a stock Samsung ROM? Where did you get the code?
unlock code
From a third party unlock shop who is arguing that they ate sire the code is good
Are you running a stock ROM? Did you check the imei you gave them? Does the imei you get from the dial pad match the imei on the label attached to the back of the phone?

So my Galaxy S3 is rooted running AOKP. I have an unlock code from T-Mobile so I can unlock it and use an AT&T SIM card. When I enter the code after booting the device with the AT&T SIM in it, it says unlock unsuccessful.
Do I have to be unrooted & on stock to do this? Or maybe just on stock? Kind of annoying, any help is appreciated!
EDIT: So I figured it out myself. If anyone has this problem in the future, just flash a touchwiz based ROM then reboot and use the unlock code and it should work.
Hi to all, im new on the forum, i was looking to find a way to unlock my S3 t999 which has the android 4.3 JB, i got a lot of info but it seems that i only Rooted my S3, i found out that there an easy way to do it whit the Service mode but since i have Stock 4.3 its impossible, was looking a way to downgrade to 4.1.1 but probably ill get a brick, so if there any way that i get some help unlocking my device i sure will appreciate it.
After 4.1.2 I think there is no free alternative available (unless your carrier gives unlock codes for free after a certain time period). The best way to unlock your phone would be by contacting your carrier for an unlock code which usually means paying a fee or using a pay service. I would recommend using your carrier because they will offer better support and this would reduce your risk of getting scammed by a online service.
Help please!
Hi! Where do I begin?! So I have a tmobile s3 T999LTE version. Previously I rooted it because I wanted custom rom on my phone. Then I wanted to sell it so I unrooted it. I had read somewhere that after unrooting I should revert to latest stock firmware which was 4.3...BIG MISTAKE! It's now running on 4.3...LUVUBOH1 and I CAN'T UNLOCK IT! Tmobile had sent me a code which did not work, then I switched to metro pcs and purchased a code off ebay, which was the SAME code tmobile had given me. I now have metro pcs on another phone and when I put in my current sim in s3 it doesn't prompt for code! And no key combos are working due to change in dialer. I am stuck and gave no idea how to fix it. Imei is valid and I'm pretty sure I'm running stock 4
3. Help anyone? Please? ???
Was the phone running a completely stock rom when you tried to enter the code? How many times did you try to enter the code?
Currently have sprint, I want to switch to straight talk, currently I have the OK3 ver. What step do I need to unlock/root or what ever to get this to work? Straight talk says it will work with their network.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
First u have to pay to unlock unless sprint does it but phone needs to be in good standing with them then u can do the rest
No other way around it?
Nope
