May work depending on what ROM your running, there should be a Lollipop build available for the G3 soon so you shouldn't have to wait long hopefully.

[REQ] Stock Lollipop Google dialer and contacts app

Can someone please help port the lollipop edition Google dialer and contacts app into LG stock based Lollipop ROMs
I've asked for this on the WhatsApp group and user: CyberstormXo was kind enough to compile this flashable zip that unfortunately doesn't work for some reason...
I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to have this app ported so whoever decides to help will help a lot of people except me!

Can someone check the zip that attached, its fc the dialer but its looks awesome
I deeply and honestly would love to see that as well, so I really second that request
@weedeater84 : Looks like the ZIP is for CM12 which might be the reason it does not work on stock based ROMs. I am on Cloudy Lollipop...
+1
I hate a big white screen with a small circle in the middle and a low quality picture inside it when the phone in ringing..

[Alpha] CM12 Dialer for LG G3 Version 0.1
I've tested this Mod/App only on AndroidNow 8.0 and can't confirm that it works with other ROM's please give me a feedback, with what Rom you've tested it, I am dependent on help from the community.
It does not replace the LG Dialer/Contacts.
I do not recommend it for daily use.
You are using this at your own risk.
I'm not responsible if any kind of damaged is caused to your device.
Do Not Flash this until you are certain about what you are doing.
Known Bugs:
-Uses LGCallUi (Not really a bug xD)
-Search Bar on the top doesn't work (Problem with Contacts.apk)
-Tell me
Installation:
1. First take a NANDroid Backup of your whole system (safety first )
2. Flash CM12 Dialer for Stock G3 Rom'sV0.1.zip in your Recovery (Aroma Installer)
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache
4. Reboot!
Download:
initially removed
Press the :good: Button if you like my Work
I installed! The skin look awesome, but I have problems. My ROM is S7ven 8.0 in spanish. The menu is part in english and spanish. The dialer dissapear. Only have contacts, favorites and groups. If try to call a contact I get FC dialer stopped, I don't view the numbers..

rom or wait for official?

So ive got a D851, and as most of you know, Lollipop still isnt out yet, should be out soon no doubt, but ive read that there are a lot of bugs and issues and what not with the official version of Lollipop. So my question is, would i be better off waiting for the official Lollipop or getting a L based rom?

Yes but it's only a matter of time before a fix comes out. Nothing better than running stock official firmware. Too many roms have different bugs. Unless you want try and find the one that has less.

I guess youre right. Thanks!
Either way, you're going to have bugs. Some are very well documented on any device for which Lollipop has been released.
My thought is to wait for the custom ROMs based from the D851 stock. By that time, many of the existing bugs will have been squashed or have acceptable work-arounds. You also end up with the best of both worlds, think of it as customized stock.
From what I hear, official Lollipop has a lot of bugs or rather annoying quirks, and that no had yet to find a way to unlock the bootloader, so would it be smart to wait for the official update, or root right now and get a L based rom?

I guess it really doesn't matter what you download and flash. Official lollipop has bugs and any L rom you get now has many bugs also. As for me I'm sticking with zonerom until something solid comes out.

I played with a couple of the roms last week. The plus is the battery, it rocks. Couple bugs: 1. Touch sensitivity is not very good 2. Radio (noticed I lost connection in places I normally don't)

LG Quick Remote APK for Optimus G Pro custom Lollipop 5.0.2?

Could someone please clearly explain how to install LG Quick Remote or any other stock app for that matter on a custom ROM running Lollipop.
I've browsed so many forums and people say different things and there's no coherency.
Please let us know how you did it, only if you have actually done it. Most LGQRemote.zip files don't work when flashed from recovery.
Regards

Tried this many times my friend. Unless we get help from a more experienced developer it is not going to happen. Earlier this year I went nuts trying to figure this out. Never did manage to get it done unfortunately.

Every QRemote zip outthere for this phone is for Kitkat or Jellybean, and that's the main reason why it's not working on Lollipop. I don't know if someone got those from other QRemote supported devices which got LP update and tried, but last one I saw working properly was madmack's zip.
I could try to make a flashable LP zip as soon as my exams finish (in a 3-4 weeks) and I find fully working ROM for LP (in progress, my ISP is going nuts) I could build and maybe support, because right now, my E988 is on Kitkat since CM doesn't want to accept existing patch for modem, and available versions are too old and buggy.
Does it mean that the remote app on the F240 running stock lollipop does not work on custom lollipop ROMs?
I don't know before I try, I'll have to download a F240 LP KDZ and extract it...

Problem is I got the earphone hissing problem on stock rom
Hi there @Heloooo you should decide between this two roms:
1. CloudyG3 ( version 2.5 ) ( based on stock )
Or
2. Blisspop ROM ( based on CM )
The Paranoid rom is also promising just like the PAC which is promising too.
CloudyG3 is probably the best sollution for G3. Fast, stable, completely compatible with G3 hardware..
I would go for cloduy g3 1.2 with stock kernel just some minor tweaks like sched and oom.
for the sound problem there is a solution http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59601465&postcount=150
