APN for Vs985 disappearing on Hangouts? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been using Textra just fine, but sick of using two messaging apps for friends w/ and w/o hangouts. Whenever I have an MMS issue and go to fix my apns (Verizon), they disappear! Anybody else have this issue? Or am I complaining about a first world problem here?
This is nothing serious, just seeing if anybody had a fix for this.

[Q] AT&T Not recieving some MMS, APN issue?

[Q] JB mms app

So i have not seen anyone else posting about this but has anyone noticed that when they have the mms app open and receive a text it doesnt auto scroll. It does, however, when you send a text. Its not really a problem just something that i find a little annoying. Anyone else experience this issue?

Issues with the LG G3

Ok so the phone doesnt download any images or send any images while I am on wifi. Then the women in my family have the habit of sending big group messages and they appear as MMS and they never download either not on wifi or mobile network. Anyone gone through this. Thinking of rooting or getting a new phone. I've only had it for a few months and I love it. But as of late the images not going out or coming in have started to really annoy me. It is not rooted at all. It is from Tmobile if that helps.

I was having the same issue at first, when i switched to hangouts as me default text and mms app everything went back to normal.
Yes, maybe try an alternative messaging app, like Hangouts, Textra, or Chomp.
Also, I don't have your variant or run stock anymore, but we had a similar issue with CM ROMs where the APN authentication was not set for MMS, causing failures while connected to wifi. Have a look in your Mobile Networks portion of Settings and see if there is an APN where MMS is the only APN type for one of them. Changing the authentication type and rebooting is what fixed it for us. That may not be there, but worth the look.

T-mobile MMS

HI, can anyone help me with the MMS problem... I am using T-mobile and entered all the APN settings but I can't send pictures when text messaging...I receive them fine but can't send...I downloaded the Google Messenger app as well but same issue...any help would be appreciated...I'm using the Z5P 6583 model.
Never mind....it started working... Strange...I deleted the APN and recreated it and it started working... I don't know why because I checked every entry like 10 times and I made no errors in spelling... I recreated the exact same APN a second time and it just started working... Has anyone else had issue with MMS?

Can't send SMS.

Hey everyone, I'm having a problem sending text messages. I can receive texts just fine, as well as SEND mms, make calls, use the internet, etc. For some reason though, sending an SMS fails. I'm running JasminROM 6.0 and this problem only just started maybe an hour ago. APN settings are exact and on point. I thought maybe it was the call center number I needed to edit, however, I don't have access to that setting. I guess it disappears when on a custom ROM or something. Anybody else have this problem and/or have a way to fix this? I don't believe it is network related because others with the same carrier are not having any issues. Thanks in advance for any help given!

EDIT: Not sure why, but I uninstalled xTouchWiz and my SMS magically started working again.
