I have a kindle fire 6.3.2, and a few years ago my friend rooted it for me. A few days ago it started misbehaving, pulling the notifications down on every touch. So i decided to restore it (with little knowledge), and did a factory settings reset. The problem is that even after the reset the notifications still pull down all the time and the keyboard miss-types often. To get to the point, i tried the kindle fire utility, and whatever i try to do it starts normally but stops and says: <waiting for device>. I tried updating the drivers but an error comes up and the installation fails. I tried getting the stock ROM from amazon.com like another thread suggested, renamed it to update.zip, and according to the instructions i had to reboot. I rebooted and it boots up regularly. I tried many threads on xda, a few youtube videos, tried everything i did 3 times, and made sure the file is a zip file. Can someone please help me.
I just got the official update to Marshmallow and I decided to just do it since it is official. It downloaded and then installed. Then it rebooted and showed that "apps are being optimized" screen and after that a bootloop of the lg logo. Rebooting doesnt work only if I take the battery out but afterwards there's still a bootloop. I also didn't do root or anything else to my device. I can not enter download mode or recovery either, but honestly idk if it has worked before.
Can anyone with probably similar experiences help me? Thanks in Advance from Germany

I have exactly the same issue. I have a German-bought LG G3 d855 updating this morning to Marshmallow. It is now caught in exactly the same boot loop. I get the LG logo, for a few minutes (the brightness changes during this time) followed by the "Android is updating..." app optimization screen which optimizes my 44 apps before going back to the logo in a constant cycle. Then my 44 apps get optimized yet again, and on it goes. I can't enter recovery, none of the button combinations has any effect. Phone has no mods, and was working fine before this.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi,
Similar issue here, my phone updated today (also no root, no mods) and for a couple of hours everything worked fine (just some missing apps after the process, but ok), then I went to flight mode and back and then it started with the reboot loops.
The reboots on my phone happen after some seconds in the home screen, so I have time to try to set it in flight mode again, and in some cases, after this it stops rebooting, but in flight mode, with no connections at all.
I'm trying to remove things to avoid doing a factory reset by now, removing cache didn't help...
Is your phone rebooting also after loading the home screen? or it just loops in the LG screen or in the apps update screen?
Hello,
I had the same problem. Just hardware reset the device and the device will continue from optimizing the apps
Instructions on how to hard reset see the video find on youtube "How to Enter into Recovery Mode on LG G3!"

Hi
I managed to recover my phone, BUT I didn't manage to recover my personnal data... I had to reset everything...
My method : with this tool https://www.google.fr/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi9oJnC66bMAhWHDsAKHY_cBVQQFggdMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D2683691&usg=AFQjCNGG5q9UKA6oKXlahEEOksUo8faGrw&sig2=cTz4bAtdqp4BEut2S4B2GA enter your imei, and download KDZ file, latest directly from LG server.
Then follow this method (in french sorry)

You can try "normal flash" at the first time, but if it doesn't work (for me it doesn't work) you will have to choose "CSE Flash" and it should work. But you will loose your personnal data. So be strong.

Bro Thank You so much ive been searching for solution the last 2 days and you finally saved my life Thank you Man !
i have the same problem....after the stock firmware has been restored, what method is used to get the proper working marshmallow upgrade?
I went from 5.0 to 6.0 using the LG PC Suite.
0 problems, 0 reboots, quick and fast. Did you update through OTA?
yes i did but still boot lop............is it the battery?
so ?
Same problem here, did you find a solution ?
New G3 from LG but back in bootloop after 24h of use.
Thank you.
I got the exact same issue, neither hard reset or flashing firmware works. Is there any other solution or should i start looking for a new phone?
Edit: Somehow it works just fine now lol. Tried flashing it like 3 times and hard reset twice and now after an hour of constant optimizing apps bootlopping i pulled out the battery for like the 100th time and now it works, what the hell. Looks like my G3 will die soon tho haha
Hi all, I basically registered here to ask this question, so I hope there's somebody can help me.
I've just applied the rbox root process as defined here : <link removed as I'm a new user and can't post urls, but it's basically the instructions on aftvnews>
There were a few ups and downs along the way, but I sorted out all the minor things in the end and completed the process. Unfortunately my FireTV is now stuck at the white amazon logo.
I can access TWRP recovery, and while I am here I can connect via adb.
I applied rbox's unbrick process to see if that helped matters, power cycled and came back to TWRP (I think I should have been expecting to go to a direct boot there, but not entirely sure). From TWRP I went to do a reboot but it asked me if I was really sure as there was no OS. That sounded like a bad idea to reboot so I reapplied the rooted 5.0.5.1 r1 image that was sitting in my /sdcard directory. Back to the original problem - stuck at the white amazon logo.
I've cleared the cache, cleared the system, reapplied the rooted rom and everything else I can think of, but I always end up back at the same issue. All roms applied using md5 checking, so the files weren't corrupted when I transferred them via adb or anything.
Since I can access TRWP I can't be competely screwed. Really hoping somebody has a suggestion (that will also get my kids off my back as they are currently without netflix )
Nobody?
I can't help feeling this is almost there if I can just get over this last problem!
[SOLVED] (sort of)
OK, in case anybody reads this, this one solved itself. I basically left the fireTV plugged in for several days and when I connected it back to the screen it was working. Not a clue what it was that sorted itself out, but very odd
Hello
My old hd8 was being very slow so I decided to factory reset it. Everything was good until I decided to install Google play services.
At this point the tablet went into bootloop.
I went into recovery and tried to load the original firmware downloaded from Amazon, it does download but gets stuck at 47%. The tablet doesn't progress past patching the image system unconditionally.
Trying to reboot doesn't help, the fire is stuck with Amazon logo.
Any suggestions about something else I could try? It's obviously out of warranty and can't go back to Amazon.
Many thanks

Thanks I have already been there
I have the problem of identifying the exact generation, the kindle hd8 seria is G090GNXXXXXX and I can't find if its a gen5 or 6.
I tried to load the firmware for Gen5, it loads and hangs at 47%.
This is what I see on the screen (see attachment)
It hangs there and doesn't progress...am I loading the wrong firmware or what else do I need to do?
Hi all,
I'm having an issue with the latest LineageOS firmware (lineage-19.1-20230206) on my FP3.
I upgraded to the latest LineageOS firmware this morning and now the phone keeps on rebooting on its own.
I get the Fairphone splash screen, the blue line with the bubble running right to left for about 2m30s, then vibrates and back to Fairphone splash screen.
I’ve had regular application crashed for a while, and particularly this morning (including Google apps crashes) - I was particularly eager to install that update in the hope that it fixes the problems…
Any insight on what could have gone wrong and how I could get the the phone back to work would be immensely appreciated
Also exposed my question to the Fairphone forum: https://forum.fairphone.com/t/fairphone3-fails-to-boot-after-upgrade-to-lineage-19-1-20230206/93222
Thanks !
I finally resorted to reinstalling the update manually with `adb sideload` following this procedure but skipping the reset step.
Turned out it worked, no data loss
