[Q] can't recieve text messages - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

For some unknown cause, my t999 just stopped receiving sms messages. Doesn't matter what rom I'm using, stock or aosp gets the same results, I've flashed stock through mobile odin, no go, flashed aosp, still no go, flashed stock via Odin on pc and it still won't get messages, my s3 sometimes recieves them at random Intervals during the day and all at once. Sometimes I don't even recieve them at all and has been a major issue for me for the past 5 days now, any assistance in finding the cause of this problem would be gladly appreciated. Oh and it's all a clean flashed, wiped even the internal sdcard

Not receiving texts

Weird issue. I'm not receiving texts unless I send one to the person first. I've got one of the original evos from June. I rooted it the long way and ran fresh roms forever and never had issues. Last week I flashed CM and tried every kernel available and the phone was glitchy no matter what. For instance I would lose the ability to turn data on and off after the phone had been running a while. Most kernels also resulted in a bootloop. Then yesterday I lost the ability to send texts, but I was receiving them. So, tried to nand restore my fresh rom and apparently it was corrupted because it never booted, only looped. So, I wiped everything and reflashed fresh and the phone has been running fine again except for the text issue. Again, I only receive them after I have texted someone. Once I've texted them once I receive all future texts normally. Any clues?
Also, I just tried updating the profile and my PRL and was unable to do so. My data connection is working though.

[Q] Bonsai 2.0 Texting Issue?

Almost every text I send fails.. I have full bars, go to send a text and then after a while the text fails to send..(they still end up receiving it anyway, but its a huge issue because the phone constantly alerts that my text failed). I can make calls just fine. Is anyone else having this problem with this ROM? IS there a fix? I'm 99% sure its installed just fine and my hardware is impeccable.
I had this before on ee odin then reflash to bonsai it should fix it. Btw i dont have this on bonsai

If you're using gingerbread theme, try this.
If not, do what the post says above and it should fix the problem. If you're wanting to try something easier first, simply try reflashing the ROM. But I think it does occur to many people that have a problem during switching Modems in Odin.
The same thing is happening to me, but Im not using a custom rom. I'm using stock D118
I had an issue with bonsai where my messages would stick on "sending". I rebooted the phone and the problem hasnt come back until i flashed v2.0 of bonsai..i rebooted again and all is well. for safety measures i reflashed the dk28 modem...i replied to your post in the bonsai thread and said that you can also odin the DI18 modem which some people have said works better than DK28 and the internet speeds are much better..
hmm darn, well i just restored to the point before i flashed bonsai and flashed nebula 1.0.7 instead and its working perfectly
Having the same radio problems with this one as Midnight v 3.1, I've tested both and can hardly send a text to save my life. I go to send it times out and fails then i get the error message did not send, yet they still recieve it. Its frustrating because I really wanted to run either of those two. Not sure why but these two must be similar causing the same problem. (in midnight theres a huge thanks to bonsai dev's so just assuming its a similar Rom)

I've been restoring to the point of when i just flashed stock dk28 and reflashing both these roms and still every other text fails to send. should i try to odin back to stock dk28 and reroot? does that do a more effective wipe then restoring back to stock dk28 with root? (because i made a backup right after i did the oneclickrootcw3)
well i odin'd back to stock and rerooted and reflashed midnight and im still failing every other text Im a heavy texter and like to go fast and often when im going.. when every other message is failing it becomes impossible to talk to someone. calls work fine.

[Q] Need options for odd situation

Okay, so this may get a little long winded. I used to have an incredible but gave it to my GF when I upgraded to my Thunderbolt. I was rooted so I have been flashing the new versions of stock as they were released. She is on the latest build of Gingerbread, and it was working fine since I flashed it. However she has been getting the stupid low disk space error (even though she's got 6 gigs free on both internal and external storage). I am currently away on business for two months, and she needs to get this problem addressed. Well this morning she can no longer receive text messages. So I told her to kiss her stuff goodbye, and had her wipe data/cache and reinstall the newest stock rom. She still can't receive text messages. What are my options? I don't know if I could walk her through how to get back to stock (un rooted for the OTA), she isn't very computer literate and doesnt have ADB on her laptop. Anyone have any suggestions? Would going unrooted and getting the official update even help? Can I just send her an RUU in zip form to flash back to stock? She's freaking out, thus making my life horrible. Any help is really appreciated.

Well, my gf has a HTC Desire, which has 147MB set aside for app data, and she started getting this with just two Market apps installed...an issue that plagues that device. This was on 2.2!
I rooted her phone, and since she had all of her contacts as Phone contacts, the size it took up was over 87MB. I moved all of her contacts to Google, cleared the Contacts cache, re-synced Google, and her low storage warnings went away. I also stopped Facebook from syncing contact information as well. So now she is able to install more apps, and the issues haven't come back since.
I realize that this is a different phone, but maybe if she has a lot of phone contacts, and those are syncing up with FaceBook, could be causing issues?
I thought that too, so after she wiped and reinstalled the ROM I had her not set up Facebook. Another interesting thing, she can send all the texts she wants, but still cant receive any. I don't know what to tell her...

Plenty of problems

I currently am running the latest Hotfire (4.4.2) rom, but do not believe my issues are from it because I have run at lease 8 different roms, and am having issues with them all, basically when I flashed the latest firmware (4.3), and the latest modem (UVUEMJC).
With this rom, I am having problems making calls, either through wifi, or network. On network calling, it says connected, but I don't have any sound coming through the headset or speaker. When I try to make a wifi call using either Talkatone or grooveIP, I get the same issue except using Talkatone, there's a pop up error message saying it cannot initialize the call. The app then resets itself, but then the phone reboots.
I am also having issues where when I try to drop down the status bar (I'm using the latest Nova Prime launcher), it won't drop, nor can I make it or the dock disappear. I can move from page to page, though only a few times. Then the phone completely freezes, and I have to do a battery pull.
I did not encounter these issues until I flashed the latest firmware and modem. Now, even roms I used before that were completely stable, are no longer reliable. I have tried to Odin a couple times, redownloading the firmware & modem to make sure I had stable files, but have the same issues. I have also did an Odin, then reinstalled my apps one at a time without data, then put the data back one at a time. No luck.
Any thoughts or help with this would be appreciated.
Forgot to mention I am running tmo S3.

I was having weird problems once. I actually formatted the whole system using the stock android recovery (i think that's what I used). Internal storage and all before I Odined and re-rooted. Hope that gives you some ideas. Good Luck.

Help, I can send and receive MMS but not SMS

I don't understand what could have possibly happened but I can no longer send or receive SMS messages but I can still send MMS messages. When I reboot my phone and try it will take a long time to "Send" a message but it doesn't actually send, my phone just thinks it does, but after the first one it goes just as fast as normal. Currently I am running Wicked Sensations Rom 4.3 version, but I was having this problem on a stock rooted rom as well. Also this may or may not be related but I tried to reflash the stock rooted rom before flashing to Wicked and it just wouldn't work, I tried to flash it at least 5 times before I gave up and downloaded Wicked, but even with wicked I had to flash it 3 times before it would get past the boot logo. I have tried all the dialer codes I could think of including ##3282# ##72786# and ##MSL# but those have done nothing.
