Hi guys I have problem with swiftkey. I can't download any language because every time i get error that swiftkey is unable to save language. I was searching this problem and i found two solutions (delete languagePack.json and fix SD card write permissions. But both of this solutions don't work for me. I tried swiftkey on 4.4.4 (cm11 and AOSP). Thanks for every advice.

Hi, I'm having an issue with deleting the user dictionary on my Play.
I've looked in the keyboard settings > user dictionary and it looks as if custom words that are learnt aren't stored in there.
What I need to delete is all the words that get picked up along the way during texting. I have so many words that are simply wrong or typos that I accidentally added and its annoying.
I read somewhere that it might be possibly to do this through a root file manager and finding a directory somewhere?
I have a rooted 2.3.3. This is really bugging me!
Hi all,
A brief history of my device: Hardware failed so I create a backup image, send the busted phone for warranty, and restore the image on my new hardware. I think some permissions weren't quite set right when I restored from the image, I noticed problems like:
1) My camera complained I had no storage space (it didn't have permission to write to the sd card). If I remember correctly, I had to manually fix some permissions to fix this.
2) (The current problem I am writing about): In the Google Maps application, when I tried to save a region for offline use, it said something like 'Storage Error' in red (I don't remember exactly what the message was because I updated the app, see below).
In an attempt to fix this, I updated the Maps application to the newest version. The new version has a different 'offline maps' implementation. This new implementation claims to be downloading/caching the map, but if I exit the app and re-open it, the map is not actually stored anywhere.
Question: Does anyone know how to fix this?
At the very least...can anyone tell me where google maps stores its offline maps so I can try to manually fix permissions?
Thanks!
-Julian
Shameless bump because I'm out of the country and offline maps would be nice!
Any help appreciated!
Generally apps store their data in 1 or 2 of the following places:
/sys/data
/data/data
/sdcard/Android
If you're rooted with a custom recovery, the recovery app should have a fix permissions. I know twrp and cwm do.

Hello, as stated above I'm unable to install the swiftkey language pack on my Galaxy nexus
I'm running the latest version of swiftkey and the latest nightly of cyanogen (4.3)
My issue is that when I install swiftkey (installs fine) I hit the first step and it fails to install the language pack. I install the trial version and it works fine.
I have done the following to trouble shoot:
completely unisntall swiftkey
Manually remove the folder in \data\data\com.touchtype.swiftkey
tried renaming the trial folder to the above folder
changed permissions to 777 on the above folder
All fail
works fine on stock
I have also read that people are having issues with custom roms with swiftkey language pack not installing.
Is there a way I can install a debug app and see what is failing so I can resolve this my self? Swiftkey support is not helping any and none of the suggestions google returns helps.
Thanks
Ryan
working
there was another com.touchtype.swiftkey that showed up after I logged in as root, once I deleted this one, rebooted and reinstalled it started working....man, anyways swiftkey support got back to me so good for them on that.
Thanks guys

Click to expand...

I'm experiencing somewhat similar issues (except mine comes with phone reboots after unmounting from my computer). Was the other SwiftKey folder found in the same location (/data/data)? And did you also have to remove /sdcard/Android/com.touchtype.swiftkey as well?
Thanks.
Try this:
Try this (for root):
->uninstall swiftkey
->Install root explorer,
->select r/w
->search for "swift" delete everything you find(even backups made from titanium backup),
->reboot your phone
->Install swiftkey
Worked amazingly for me
When I try to install Swiftkey keyboard I get an error of insufficient memory. Whereas I have 1gb free internal memory. Other big apps get installed easily . Don't know why Swiftkey only gives error. I had installed earlier but now i cant. I tried to patch it with lucky patcher but long back. Is it because of it?
No one expert here or what.?
