I just got my note 4 a few days ago and one of the first things I noticed was how long the vibration was for notifications. I changed it to the heartbeat style but so far nothing has changed. All of my notifications still use the default notification style. Any ideas? Thanks

Originally, the Dash notified me of a new text message by giving three soft virbrations
buzz-buzz-buzz
After upgrading to WinMo 6.1, it now notifies me with one very long, very strong, and very LOUD vibration
BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!
This is driving me insane. Does anybody know how to get the old style vibration back? The soft vibration was one of my favorite features of this phone before.

Click to collapse
Settings\Profiles Menu and Edit on the profile you are using then go to notification type and you have a choice of the vibrates.
All of a sudden I'm having a strange problem with notifications in the notification bar. It use to be till today when I got an email and I could read the top line then two finger pull down to reveal more. Since today it's the opposite all the notification is showing and I have to two finger push up to get it back to one line.
Any help on getting it back normal would be appreciated
I've noticed this behavior as well. I thought it was just me.....
Its very odd can't find any settings for it. Tried disabling and re enabling notifications but still happening
by default the first notification is expanded, might be you had other notifications before
that does make sense and could very well be the reason then usual do have a pile of emails as well as texts, but binned an email account as it was mostly junk. thanks for reply
Just got my brand new AT&T Galaxy S III today. I love the phone so far. Right now, the phone is completely stock.
One thing that isn't working correctly is the vibration, most specifically for GMail. I use the Vibrate profile the most since I go to school and would like notifications in class without any sounds. I like the stock "Heartbeat" vibration pattern, so I selected it. When I get new mail, it uses the default "Basic Call" vibration pattern, which I dislike. Although HeartBeat is selected, it uses the Basic Call pattern. I thought it was a GMail issue, so I checked the settings in there, but no luck. I've also rebooted the phone numerous times.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks
My ideal setting for messenger is no notification sound or vibration, but just a pop-up of the message preview. This is the way I had it for many months until about two weeks ago when my S9 started vibrating with every message I received. I never touched the settings once after getting it the way I wanted it, and have since looked through them many, many times trying to turn off just the vibration. It seems to me the only options are keep the pop-up message preview with the vibration, or get rid of both leaving just the message symbol in the notification bar, with no option for how I've always had it. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
I have some problems with notifications on my Poco F3. I got the phone yesterday and updated to MIUI 13. I played around with Gmail and Whatsapp to fix it but couldnt find a solution. Somtimes I get the notification sound and the light animation, sometimes I have to turn on the screen to get the notification and sometimes I even have to unlock it and open the app for the new message to show up. It seems pretty random which case will happen. I use the same Notification/ Batterysaver settings I had on my old Redmi Note 9S which didnt have those problems.
i also had notification issue and fixed by tutorial above
