[Q] Lollipop: Marking Apps as sensitive (for lockscreen notifications)? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Settings -> Sound -> Notifications -> Apps
I can only see "None" and "Priority". "Sensitivity" is missing. The option to hide sensitive notifications from the lock screen is there though.
Is there a way to toggle the sensitivity for specific apps? Workarounds are welcome too (I'm rooted).

[Q] How to toggle an app's notifications as "sensitive"?

Is there a way to toggle sensitive data notifications on a per app basis for the LG G3 Lollipop update? I'm using the LS990 (Sprint), and while I can toggle "hide sensitive data on lockscreen", this applies to all applications.
AOSP and CyanogenMod have a setting under Device -> Notification manager -> App notifications that lists all apps. When you select an app, one of the options is Sensitive, which determines whether the app's notifications are "sensitive data" for the purposes of this lock screen setting.
The closest settings I can find on the LG G3 is under Device -> Sound -> Notifications: Apps (this is under Sound?), but the only settings are None and Priority. Without this toggle, the "hide sensitive data on lockscreen" setting is useless as everything from the weather to current traffic conditions is considered "sensitive data".

P.S. - As I've stated, I'm seeing this on the Sprint variant, but I believe this is an issue with the general LG Lollipop skin, and not necessarily anything specific to the carrier.

lockscreen notification for select apps

Is there a way I can choose which notification shows up on the lockscreen? Specifically I want to have only one app show notification on the lockscreen, but not others. In order to do that I have to disable notifications of all other apps. But I want other apps to show notification in the notification bar, just not on the lock screen. Any way to do this?

On nougat, theoretically yes. Go to settings -> notifications. Then click the settings gear at the top. Should give lock screen notification options of all, hide sensitive content, hide all.
I think you can hide all here, then go to the individual app you want to show, and change it to show for that specific app.
Never tried this myself. Ymmv.

Once I choose "don't show at all" under settings - notification, I cannot enable notification on the lockscreen for specific app. However doing the exact opposite might do the trick. Under settings - notification, I choose "show all contents", then for specific app, I can choose "don't show" on the lock screen. This is very tedious, but it might do what I want my phone to do...

Once you clicked don't show notification at all, click on a app or game that you want to display the notification in lockscreen.
Then click "On the lockscreen" then "show all notification content".
Hope this helps you.

How to Disable Privacy Guard Notification

The in-built Privacy Guard prompts notification on the app that I launch / using EVERYTIME. The notification has nothing much but only inform the user about the APP that I was using has been blocked by Privacy Guard from accessing my personal data.
Is that possible to hid this notification completely?
Settings>Privacy>Privacy Guard. Toggle off 'Show notification'.
not working, still getting notification even after toggle off notification in privacy guard.
Thanks it works on my S4 .??
Found it...
I also didn't find it 'cause I was confused by two other on/off sliders (SELinux-Status, Build-Signature).
Exact location of the option to deactivate the privacy protection, guard or trust notification in LineageOS 15.1 (as of Nov' 2018) is here:
Settings -> Security & privacy -> Trust -> Privacy Guard -> Settings menu (dots) in top right corner -> Show notification ON/OFF
In German:
Einstellungen -> Sicherheit & Datenschutz -> Trust -> Datenschutz -> Untermenü (Punkte) oben rechts -> Benachrichtigung anzeigen AN/AUS
Found Privacy Guard Notification Switch
Hurray, I found the switch to turn off the annoying Privacy Guard notifications.
Its in SETTINGS / Security & Privacy / Privacy / Trust / Privacy / Privacy Guard, then click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner to open the options. Uncheck the box next to Show Notifications.

Anyone aware of lock screen gestures

Hi guys.
My P2 runs on Nougat with February security patch.
I was just messing around with the activities widget of Nova launcher(free version) . During that I found "Screen off gestures". Even though I enabled them, I could not get them working. Any Ideas to get then working?
These screenshots are self explanatory. You can find the Screen off gestures setting under Widgets -> Activities - > Settings (#171) -> Screen off gestures.
