[Q] LG G3 F400K Contact Issue - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi friends,
As the question above, my F400K always take Contact info from my Sim card.
All my sim's contacts was synced to my Google account long time ago. I can realize this issue because when some one call me or text, the contact name always display with a " /M " and there was no Contact Picture - that mean the phone was taking the contact info on my Sim,not from my Google account like the other phones of mine.
I tried to copy my contact to Phone Memory..but no help . So I have to delete all of my sim contact and the /M was gone and the contact picture in call show up. I was never have to do that on the other Android Phones.
What i can find out was the F400K will take contact info follow this order : Sim => Phone Memory => Google Account. So how can we force it to use Google Account first or only, without deleting Sim Contacts ?
Thanks for reading this

Contacts issue

I think this is very popular issue, but I don't find any solution.
I use my SIM to store all phone numbers.
I will be very very very happy to use SIM as default destination of all new contacts.
No whats happening:
I save number in phone.
Next I copy this number in to SIM with SIM manager
Next I delete the number from phone memory
3-4 minutes for one contact and many potential mistakes....
Thank you.
Anyone?
I can't believe there is no solution
I tried a while ago for a friend of mine to et that working and didn't have any luck...
I think most people aren't going to use the SIM to store contacts as you can't do any of the advanced stuff with sim contacts(custom ringtones, attaching a pic, etc.)
i had the same problem and i finally chose to copy my sim contacts to my phone's memory and delete everything from sim... the only good thing (in my opinion) is the hability to add pictures to contacts..

Rogue Contact with international number? - please HELP!

I have a stock Evo4G without root.
Serious issue here with one of my contacts on my Android phone:
In one of my contacts, I have a friend's name, phone number, and email address. His phone number is a domestic number 847-xxx-xxxx. His email address is a gmail address. Also listed in his account is a second number that starts with a (+39) international number and another one of his valid emails. When I edit that contact, I am unable to remove the international number from his contact, it does not appear as a number that I can edit. If I delete the contact completely from the phone or the computer (in both cases it makes him disappear from my gmail on my computer), he is still in my phone with his international number only. Then I can not edit this contact at all?! It isn't a google contact, it isn't a phone contact...it appears to be magical?
This is happening on my Evo4G, but also happened on my Hero. I was hoping that it would work its way out of my phone if it was a bug, but it clearly is a bug in google's software or something hanging on through my contacts? Has anyone had this issue. The Sprint CSRs were completely useless as I would have guessed. Can someone please help me elminate this contact?! I will also post over on a google forum.
Settings, account and sync, google, click the refresh button next to contacts. See if that removes it.
yeah, no dice. tried that first.
is it linked to another account? if so you'll have to edit the other account
Geez, nevermind. I figured this out. thanks though! This guy has an international phone number in his facebook account. I wasn't aware that it Android 2.1 was now pulling contact information from facebook as well. That's why it makes sense it is on my Hero and Evo.
Thanks! very sorry to waste your time. I'm an idiot.
Also a tip for anyone who may be having contact issues...
remove the account, wait like 2min reboot and re-add...that will force data to be re-fetched entirely - fixed an issue with missing photos for me

[Q] Problem with people / contacts

Hi! My mom just bought a HTC Wildire S and she is very happy with it but she is having one problem with it. All her contacts are saved on her google account and linked to facebook. But when some contact calls the phone always shows Unknown.
I think the problem is that all her contacts are saved with "+354" in front of the phonenumber but when the contact calls it doesnt display the "+354" part, just the phone number. I have an Desire and my contacts are set up in the same way and work perfectly. Any ideas how I can fix this?
Its a common error. I have it on my wildfire s too. Think the problem started from android 2.3 but it happens in certain countries only. This is what HTC support told me.. The solution is either add a number twice for the same contact. Once with the country code and other one without.
You may also get a software called prefixer from the market. it will add the country code to incoming calls and the contact name will show after proper configuration.

some advice on SVoice

Hello
Iam try Samsung S-Voice on my Galaxy ( its not root ) and I need some help on this, when I talk any command like "call Joan" of course the svoice answer and try to call "joan" but always showme I have two contacts with that name and two phone numbers... ( its the same contact its the same number !!! ) just only one contact its with photo ( google contact ) and the other not have a picture...
I search in contact and I see a lot of options : Samsung contacts - Sim Contacts - Facebook contacts - google contacts etc etc etc...
on my contacts always do " contact to show - google contacts " because I don't care any other contacts... however I don't have any contacts of Samsung or face ... maybe I have contacts on my sim card.. but never utilized that contacts...
so, how to ONLY have the option of my google contacts on my phone? so when I use S-Voice always have just only ONE contact to show?
thanks for all
Its best to re organiz your contact s .and get rid of the duplicate names and numbers and that way when you use s voice it will pull the contact name that you want without any confusion and if you two different numbers for a specific contact it will show the two numbers but it want dail because you have two different numbers for the same contact in order for s voice to dail the number you will have to say the number and s voice will then dail the number and yes this works for google voice also
