4.4 mini-FAQ
Q) Root doesn't work!
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from 4.2.2 in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Q) Titanium Backup isn't restoring apps!
A) Change the backups folder to storage/emulated/legacy.
Known Issues
Navigation bar recents button sometimes needs to be pressed twice
Lockscreen when carousel animation is enabled dragging the camera icon messes the animation
Icons on global menu are sometimes a bit distored....not much
Network mode tile does not always work

Is anyone else having issues receiving/sending mms while on wifi? Any work arounds? I am using stock messaging app on Weekly 8.16 firmware.

I resolved my issue with mms over WiFi by creating an APN just for my mms. Sending and receiving is delayed a few minutes but it works.

Small DPI/Scaling
I noticed that the icons and text is really small and I've looked at how to change it but I can't figure it out. I saw someone say something about pixel density but I can't figure out how to change it in the options. Anyone have any pointers? Edit:I played around with the DPI in the buildprop file. Much much better!
Camera issues
Every so often my camera will crash. Snapchat,google cam, default, it's all the same. I seem to have this issue with every aosp rom i've tried. I've done a clean install multiple times and even redownloaded the zip when reflashing. Anyone have a good fix for this?
I guess it's NOT so "stable". ???

chrome opens in small browser window
Runming pacman rom on tmobile note 3. All of a sudden today my chrome browser will only open in small window. This is annoying any ideas on fix would be appreciated. I cleared all data. Didnt work. I uninstalled and that did not work either.
Sharing Issue
I've been using this Tom for a few days now. I just noticed when I attempt to share anything, the screen goes black after selecting what I want to share with. Any fix for this issue? I have installed the xposed framework and xposed multiscreen, could that be related?
Is there any chance we can get a expanded power menu options on the zion 959 lollipop? Also how do you disable the arrow from showing up when i use the s-pen? Zion, you have the best version of 5.0. It beats all the other versions on antutu benchmark

You can't.. It need samsung framework... Try SwiftKey or lg g3 keyboard instead

The option to encrypt an external SD Card appears to be missing. Is there a way to encrypt my SD Card on this ROM?

RC-3 Play Store
I'm having a problem with the play store. A lot of the apps I use shows up as "not compatible with this version". No matter what I try, as far as play store fixes I find online; DPI, xposed mods, fix apps, etc; doesn't seem to work. Love this ROM, but that is my ONLY problem, apart from NFC not working. Is anybody else having this problem? Any help will be apreciated.

GApps
I have downloaded the GApps and they are not installing. I tried 3 times, cleared the memory and moved it to the internal storage and still has not wrked. What are of the things that I can do to fix this?

Hello, this is my first time using any custom ROM on my galaxy s3 from sprint (SPH-L710)
Right now, I'm using the latest v1.7 ? of the Spirit ROM and everything seems to work fine except I don't get any 4G LTE.
It just tells me I only have 3G and speeds show around 200~350KB/s when I should be getting 700+.
I'm on straight-talk plan right now, I don't know if that has to do anything but from my past experience with the stock ROM, i could just ##SCRTN# and everything got configured.
I just have no idea how to do that on this, is there anyway to do this? Thanks for the assistance!
Camera issue
İI've been doing repairs on phone and tabs since the windows 5.1 touch screen. You know screen replacement, charging port, SD card carriage, etc... As well as flashing rom's and playing around with scripting ( carry over from game scripting, modeling, texturing) ....
Ilove this Rom, only issue I've had is the camera, almost daily I have to reboot into recovery wipe dlvk and cache fix permissions and reboot to get the camera back . Built in or play store don't matter. Also would love to get obb on SD from exposed and all angle rotation from a module in exposed but I always have issues with exposed and this Rom. Any guess as to what would cause this issue?
Slow motion
When I select slow motion on the setting it crashes or says not supported on this frame size and I try different frame size same issue is this a bug on this rom or just me please help

After flashing this Rom my IMEI is lost.
I've noticed a couple oddities with the rom.
The first being that seemingly when focus is on an animated item the rom seems to ignore presses on the soft keys. (When a video on Facebook started autoplaying the home and recents would not do anything until I scrolled away from the video)
The vibration from Swiftkey does not seem to work when "typing" despite being enabled.
These aren't really questions, but I got redirected here due to post count.

Another thing. I found a small bug.
I activated the Advanced reboot in the developer settings.
When I went back the switch was deactivated, but the Advanced reboot menu was still activated.
The Download links are for wrong devices.
Anybody manage to set a mp3 as an alarm tone @ cLock / alarm? I can select one but it always falls back to built in ringtones...

Hello,
just flashed this rom and I find I have the common "duplicated" messed up file system. I tried using the restorecon command (restorecon -FR /data/media/0) and although the command was executed successfully, I stil cannot re-establish my file system.
Am I missing simething? I would love to avoid going back to stock and starting all over again!

hey mate. did you managed to get it fixed? i had the same problem as well, so its not uncommon to you
For me, on my N5110, boot up takes an excessivley long time (about 2 mins each time). Several times I've had flickering between the home and lock screen. Can't transfer apps to SD, and the ROM just seems overall much slower then others I've tried. I tried/compared it to CM 12.1...... which boots in about 34 seconds. All the issues I mentioned above are not occurring with CM.
Overall I like it, it might just need some wrinkles ironed out.

SuperSU v2.49 beta This one worked for me.
Just discovered this Q&A so I will repeat my question here:
How can I get to the recent apps menu?
1. The home button brings me back to the home screen but a long press does not bring the recent apps to show up
2. PIE control is not working. I tried to turn it on by switching to immersive mode but nothing happened. I cleared the preferences in setting --> personal --> Backup & reset -->reset preferences

I do have 2 small requests in the Sense shell as well as a bug report.
Requests:
Flashlight control (on/off) from the quick settings (or quick settings customization in general)
Show quick settings immediately when there are no notifications
Bug:
When using the camera with default options the app freezes if you hold the "snap/record" button. Turning of continuous shooting fixes this bug though.

Unfortunately, development of this ROM has ceased completely due to a lack of time. I'm afraid I cannot provide you with the flashlight shortcut. I also have not got a Desire HD anymore and cannot do the necessary testing and investigation required to fix the camera issue.

In fact, I find your ROM the smoothest working ROM that has wi-fi
Also, the camera bug is easy to prevent by turning off the continuous shooting option.
