There is no fast boot jet but you should be able to write everthing in the emmc with the emmc adapter. Have a look at the emmc root threat or at the gtvhacker wiki.
Yea not going through that trouble but thank u

Yesterday I wanted to connect my rooted Kindle Fire to my computer to sync books onto. I would connect it with a micro USB and the notification would come up to connect the kindle to my computer and I did as i always have. Only this time the kindle said it was connected but my computer shows no external devices in Computer except in the bottom right an option to Safely Remove USB Device is still their while my computer does not recognize it. After restarting the Kindle and my computer multiple times i tried using several different micro USB cords. After giving up I decided to factory reset it in the Kindle setting. It reset and started to reboot and it froze on the Orange and white Kindle Fire logo after the blue and white bootmenu. My Kindle Version is 6.3.1 and TWRP is 2.1.1. Every time i try to open normal boot mode and reset boot mode it would freeze and the only thing that is working is Recovery mode. I figured that something went wrong so i tried to wipe the system from TWRP and reboot it but the same thing happens. After searching for an answer i came here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1977311 I read it and tried to mount my Kindle as a usb device but it still will not show up on my computer. So now i am left with a bricked Kindle Fire and can't connect it to my computer to try and fix it. If anyone can help PLEASE!!!! respond as soon as possible!
Reinstall drivers from kfu.
Then try mounting USB through twrp again.
It also appears that the computer recognizes the kindle but you can't see it in computer? Go to the device manager on your computer, and see what your kindle is recognized as.
Even if you can't get your computer to fully recognize it as a mass storage device, try to push through the steps in kfu. If kfu says " waiting for device" restart the kindle.

I know its too late now but never ever do a factory reset from settings if you are rooted .sounds to me like u have a soft brick and should be able to get it back especially if you can still get into twrp you also need to make sure its a first gen kindle and not a second gen. The second gen kindles have locked bootloaders and have to be rooted differently than a first gen

Luckily you have FFF installed (blue & white KF logo). The orange & white logo is the stock boot animation. Typically this would be a big problem, but you have FFF and access to recovery so all is well.
You need to download a ROM and get it to your sdcard so you can flash it in recovery. If you want to keep using stock, I'd suggest using MoDaCo rather than attempting to revert to stock as that would only compound your problems.
You have a couple options but considering you can't get your sdcard mounted to USB, you may be looking at bigger problems. Try to "adb push" the ROM to your sdcard. If for some reason when you navigate to the sdcard in recovery, you only see a single TWRP folder and nothing else, you'll have to reformat...maybe even repartition (easier than it seems).

Please help! I was trying to flash an ICS rom on my kindle fire 2. I rooted it a few days ago and flashed JB rom by following the instructions here..
Everything was working fine untill i flashed Gede ICS rom. Now whenever i press the power button the device keeps repeating the logos
First the Kindle Fire one and then the Blue and White Kindle Fire logo.. The later one stays for only a second.
Before, i could press the power buttong by pushing it during that logo but that doesn't seem to work now...
If only i can enter recovery mod i have powerpoints45's ROM resting in a folder in the internal SD card..
EDIT: When i plug the device with the PC using a usb cable (the normal one) nothing happens.. it doesn't show up in the devices list and neither do i hear any kind of sound..

You mean a factory cable! No but i'll get it tomorrow if that's what i need to fix it.. can it be fixed? or is it bricked for good? =(
yeah they can usually fix 95 percent of kindle fire bricks, im pretty sure you'll be able to fix your kindle with it. and yes factory/fastboot cable are on in the same.
Thanks i need those kind of words to keep my hope up.... what do i have to do after i get the cable? coz its not being recognized by windows..
No sound! No yellow mark! no nothing.. it's like i didn't attach it at all...
I don't pretend to be an expert on this, hopefully someone with a little more knowledge than me will chime in, but the factory cable when automatically start your kindle fire in fastboot mode, it will be able to be read by your pc, the only trouble you might run in is with drivers, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. Then i would go over to hashcode's rom and follow step by step his instructions (fastboot method) for installing bootloader and then cm10.1. But like i said, someone with more information than me will hopefully post on here

I installed the drivers but i'm not sure whether they are the right ones coz they don't seem to work now.. i'm running windows 7 x64 and it used to detect the device before it got bricked but now it doesn't do anything..
I searched all over the market today but can't seem to find a factory cable is it okay if i try to do the home made Fastboot cable thing? or should i order one online instead..
Home made thread:

Why don't you think the drivers are working and homemade fast boot cables are okay but if there not done right they just want work or cut out half way though my fast boot cable it great just make it your self or get a Scorpion cable
I don't hear the sound the window makes when you connect something to the PC.. other than that there is no device recognized in the device manager.. so i figured there might be something wrong with the drivers too now.. i'm trying to make one if i can't i'll be getting the scorpion one you mentioned.. thanks
buy them from here, he makes the best

scroll down to where you find xda user SkOrPn and read the ordering information and how to contact him

I had the same problem: I bricked it when I wiped the data (and the rom I was going to load). I tried Windows and Mac, to no avail. Then I used my Linux machine.
Get an Ubuntu Live CD, and check out this tutorial; it worked like a dream:
http://desire.giesecke.tk/tutorial-adb-on-xubuntu/?wpmp_switcher=desktop
I was able to adb sideload the Rom and Gapps very easily via the terminal and TWRP on the KF2 - with a regular / stock micro USB cable.
Be sure to use 1949 and 0x1949 as the Kindle vendor IDs in the tutorial.

I 'v asked my cousine to bring the factory cable on his way back here from Cyprus. Thank you Yudanjah i'll try your method too and then tell you if it worked for me or not..
So i used the tutorial i found here:
http://rootkindlefire.com/kindle-fire-root/how-to-root-kindle-fire-6-3-1/
to try to root my kindle fire first gen. Well it froze at the logo after a fastboot command was sent. I have spent about 3 hours trying to fix it with no luck. ADB does not connect at all, windows says theres a problem with the hardware. I cant get any connections to it whatsoever. Even in linux.
I've tried these things:
1. ADB through windows
2. Kindle Fire Utility and all its options (never sees the kindle)
3. SoupKit and all its options (same issue, linux is unable to enumerate the device)
I URGENTLY need this kindle unbricked. My mom will kill me if she cant get to her birds to feed them (don't ask). She uses it every day, and i told her rooting would be nooo problem. Well now i'm screwed. Please help if there's anything that can be done to this.
Thanks Guys
Josh
Edit: Anyone with this issue, I rigged up a factory cable (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20380015) by crossing pins one and four with a breadtie and got really lucky, forced it back to normal mode from fastboot. It is the ONLY thing that will work in this case, i tried everything else!
hi
once the factory cable is connected, what do you do?

If you install kingroot on a Windows PC and then plug that into the Amazon device.
If you set kingroot to automatically root your Amazon device it should automatically reinstall the factory image if it fails to root it for you.
This is how I unbricked a fire TV stick. I understand that this is a full fire TV, however if you are stuck what have you got to lose.
Alternatively if you have installed TWRP, then you should be able to mount external devices and install the factory image from there yourself...

hi bro
i hav now fire stick that don't update it stuck om update screen and go no further can not allow me to get to registration .
i tried to use king root but the pc dod not recognize the fire stick so the process did not happen how to do it thx
can not connect to adb or anything but can connect to a wifi
Sorry for the late reply on this, I only just saw it when I installed xda labs.
Firstly use Windows 7 or 10, which version did you use? Secondly you will need to follow the respective instructions to install kingroot. For instance Windows does not come with complete USB drivers and needs to install Android drivers for each device. You can get round part of this by installing the Android SDK which includes a repository of most drivers. Test it is working first with a phone or tablet.
I assume you have the internet enabled on both the windows device and fire TV stick? You will probably also need to ignore any false positives from virus guard software during the process and temporarily (keep it safe by avoiding doing anything else on the internet!) Turning off your firewall.
Finally kingroot has many fake copies floating around! Only follow genuine threads from xda. (I would give a link but have noticed they change from time to time because of the nature of these apps).
I have successfully un-softbricked both my fire TV sticks using this process. Good luck!
my previously rooted Gen 1 AFTV started to have issues so I tried to update the rather old OS build - and bricked the device. no LED light, nothing.
using an A-A cable I successfully followed rbox' instructions in https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66961740&postcount=676 writing the contents of update-kindle-bueller-51.6.3.2_user_632552020.bin to the respective partitions and wohoo, the box booted again, although without rbox' bootloader which I didn't care for too much then.
worse problem was there was also no network connection - neither Ethernet (no link) nor WIFI (just kept scanning forever) worked. not really knowledgeable about the boot process of Android devices I resorted to a factory reset, which seemed to work but now I'm stuck at the Amazon setup (just after language selection) still without network and no other way to go. tried the alt-prtscr-i route but that only got me to a screen with red text saying the device would enter recovery which never happened no matter how long the wait.
thinking the bin file may have been corrupted next I attempted to dd-write the partitions again with contents from another bin file but couldn't even "see" the partitions anymore. hooked up to a knoppix box nothing shows those sdcX partitions anymore: df -h, mount, fdisk -l, cat /proc/partitions. only command - briefly - showing a Qualcomm device was lsusb.
same on a W10 machine where the booting AFTV would briefly show up as a USB mass storage class device (of course without access to it) but would then disappear again with the corresponding sound. the box still boots to the amazon setup however.
now I'm stuck and don't know what to try next. previously ADB debugging was active and I sometimes used the interface to push packages to it but now I don't even have an IP connection anymore to dig into the config files :crying:
thanks for any ideas ! would love to get the box back to life again

Only the unlocked bootloader is able to read/write to the emmc via the a-a usb cable. Adb debugging is gone due the factory reset.
What is installed on system? A prerooted rom? Then the solution is probably to boot into TWRP and wipe cache, dalvik, data, internalsd.
In case the TWRP bootmenu is gone too, there isn't much (maybe nothing) you can do...

being a newbie to Android I'm not exactly sure. I believe it was a prerooted rom. it showed RBOX's BOOT MENU at startup and I did have root access.
according to "how-to-factory-reset-a-rooted-fire-tv-using-twrp-custom-recovery" on aftvnews the reset to factory defaults should not have removed root or TWRP, however there is no menu when booting the device and pressing right-arrow won't bring one up either. it just boots to the amazon setup
does that mean that I'll have to toss it?

Idk. If the bootmenu doesn't show, its probably gone.
About the network problem, maybe a router reset is worth a shot?

what has me curious still is the fact, that I no longer can access the box from Linux as I did before. wonder if the new OS is hiding TWRP info normally visible and if there is any secret way to invoke it?
the router is fine. always in use with various WIFI clients and also just successfully tested a cable connection to it with a laptop.

I fear my soldering expertise is not sufficient to attempt that guess I'll have to shop around for another used device instead as I need TOSLink and would also like to retain an Ethernet connection.
thank you so much for your help!
