I've noticed that holding the power button for ~10 seconds no long turns off the note for a soft reset. Is there another key combo or is it just me?

Please help!!
Turn off your phone completely. If buttons and touch screen become unresponsive, pull the battery out.
Hold both "send" and "end" button, then press and hold "power" button. Follow the on screen instructions.
for verizon
Hold down the end key till the device powers off, then hold volume down, send
and end till you see blue text on a white background. Follow hard reset prompt

I think this is for the At&t version below
1. Turn off the TP2. In my case, I had to pull the battery out since the on-off button didn't work
2. Press and hold the SEND and END keys simultaneously
3. While continuing to hold the SEND and END keys, press the POWER BUTTON (a bit of finger contortion here)
4. Press the VOLUME UP button

Tried every power volume button combinations, still not turning on. If you press and hold power button or Power +Volume Up button only htc logo appears and goes away after few seconds.
and in fastboot mode or recovery mode I don't know what it is said which appears by holding Power + Volume Down, nothing happens if I press power button on 'fastboot','Recovery','Show Barcode'
Help me to turn this thing on without factory reset please.
This same phone recently turned off and I managed to turn it on by charging via laptop and Volume up+Power .
Does anyone know how to force power down of the phone?
My phone is faulty and i need to mail it back to the seller. I cant use the screen but i need to turn it off before sending.
Pressing the power and volume down resets the phone, but does anyone know how to turn it off only?
Hold power + volume down to force the reboot, when the screen goes black keep the power button pressed and switch to volume up. This will reboot to the bootloader. Use the volume keys to navigate to power down and press the power button to confirm.
That should do it and all via physical buttons.
Hi Friends...:crying:
My Xperia Z1c Phone was good but dont know what happen to it "Power button Stopped Working" all of a sudden.
Phone Problem are:
1) Power Button Not Working
2) Power button function shifted to Volume up key
3) whenever i press volume up key.. volume increases but at the same time power button function activates...i mean it asks for power off, restart,profiles,screenshot... just like power button functions. both power button and volume up key runs when volume up key is pressed.
4) i am unable to turn off my phone... so i had to turn off my phone by pressing volume up key. even it gets turn off it restarts itself. i believe there is some Hardware problem.??
5) when i press and hold volume up key for 3 yo 4 sec it vibrates 3 times and gets turn off just like we do it by pressing the small button next to sim slot.
i think this is strange hardware problem... anybody got solution for this Problem or i need to take my phone to Local repair shop..?
Please help me.......:crying:
Hi,
My Pixel 6 Pro screen went black, but I can still hear and feel that the phone is working. I used the volume up + power button to reboot it and now I touch the phone and I feel it vibrate as it's registering the touches. I also see at the bottom of the screen some white stripes flashing. It seems that the screen is damaged and I need a replacement screen.
Now my issue is that I can't seem to turn it off. As the screen is black, the only way to shut it down would be with hardware keys. But up until now, I haven't been able to figure out a way to turn the phone off.
Does anyone know how I can turn of the phone?
To replace the screen, obviously I need to turn it off first...
Usually long pressing the power button, but it may be different. As long as it gets fixed within a month or so it you can let it discharge until it auto shuts down. If more than a year old replacing the battery when repaired is a good idea anyway...
I tried long pressing the power button with no luck.
I tried volume down + power button for 20 seconds, didn't work either.
I tried volume up + power button for 20 seconds, this I think reboots the phone.

Power button only might take 20 or so seconds.
Otherwise just like it sit until repaired.
Power button + vol up + vol down. Keep holding down once you feel the phone vibrate. Takes you to the bootloader screen
The battery died.. so that's good!
Thanks anyways
