How do I get to the bootloader screen I'm new at this but everything I read hasn't worked
If you're on 2.3 you need to go to settings, applications, and unchecked fast boot...then power off the phone and hold volume down and the power button. Or download quickboot from the market
We're comin from a pure power source.
Turn phone off all the way.......
Hold Vol. Down
while holding Vol. Down
Hold Power button...
for 2-4sec then white screen should pop up
If Quickboot is enabled and you haven't disabled it, then you'll need to pull the battery out, put it back in, and then hold Vol. Down + Power for a few seconds until it gets to the bootloader.
Does anyone know how to force power down of the phone?
My phone is faulty and i need to mail it back to the seller. I cant use the screen but i need to turn it off before sending.
Pressing the power and volume down resets the phone, but does anyone know how to turn it off only?
Hold power + volume down to force the reboot, when the screen goes black keep the power button pressed and switch to volume up. This will reboot to the bootloader. Use the volume keys to navigate to power down and press the power button to confirm.
That should do it and all via physical buttons.
My M9 is stuck booting up on CM13, and its been there for more than twenty minutes. How do i turn it off so I can get into recovery? I've tried holding the power button for 2 minutes, and even tried holding the power button and volume down for 2 minutes but nothing is working. Do i just leave it until the battery dies?
Edit: It happened while updating the SuperSU binaries through TWRP
Try holding down power button and both volume buttons together, when it starts rebooting keep hold of the volume down button, that should take you to recovery.
Volume up and power will force a reboot
Sent from my HTC One M9 using XDA-Developers mobile app
This is how I remember it: Volume Up + Power and then Volume Down + Power
I only remember it because I've needed to do it so many times
It was plugged into charger. This morning it wont turn on. When I press power button I see the charging logo come up and it shows fully charged. Pressing down power key for 10-20s, or power + vol up/dn etc also just shoes the logo.
What do I do?
Try holding power volume down for a minute or so.
Hold power + volume up button at same time for at least 30 secs while unplugged from charger.
In My OnePlus3, Power button doesnt work and my mobile is switched off.
whenever I plug in my charger, I get the recovery options menu on pressing the volume buttons. How Can I select the restart option in the recovery options menu `WITHOUT POWER BUTTON`?
P.S. If I dont press the volume button, it just goes to the next screen and shows the charging animation.
please help. Any help is appreciated.
Press and hold volume down button and then plug in your power cable. This will boot you into recovery mode. From there select reboot and volia.
