Hello.
How can I restore only a specific game data with Lg Pc suite ?
I'm a new Lg G3 user (since december the 3rd)
Today, before updating my mobile with the official Lollipop 20e rom using LGMobile Support Tool, I backed up everything with Lg Pc Suite, and also the the fast backup option (contacts, Sms, calendar)
After updating, I did a factory reset, then restored my contacts, Sms, calendar data with Lg Pc Suite.
Then I installed all my apps.
In my Pdesktop backup folder, I get many backpup_xx.tar.gz.enc files - I cannot open them.
I get one PCSuite_FB_2014.brinfo file - it's a kind of xml file that I can read with gedit (Linux)
Is there a way to do what I want without restoring the complete backup ( 1.7 go)
If answer is no, I will uninstall this game, because I do not want to restart it from scratch !
Thanks in advance.
I'm wondering this, too.
Surely there's been other people who have backed up their phone using LG's tool? I can't find much information on how you go about actually getting the data out of the many backup files, though,

Hi, recently I root my phone (GT-S6810P) for first time with Motochopper method and now it restarts many times, after install titanium backup and when i tried to make a backup of all system data, the phone restarts before it finalize.
I'm having problems with the original rom becouse my phone is running very slow, and i would like to install another rom, but I new on this root world so I don't know how to restore my important data and my apps after installing the new rom.
Thank you
If nothing helps, backup your Music, Contacts etc. with Samsung Kies Software. Save your apps as .apk files (for example with Titanium or Appmonster 3). "In-App-Data" like game scores can be saved with Helium application. For pictures and other data connect your phone to PC and copy it. Settings and Passwords are saved with your Google account, I think. Hope this helps...
I have a celphone with rom B704, i do a backup with the program hisuite but i change the rom, when i re-install the backup my notes dont have text and disapear, so i re-install the rom B704, when i tried re-install the backup the program show me a window that said unidentified error, somebody can tell me how open the notes in my pc or reinstall the notes in my cellphone?
I ran into the same problem today. In my case I wanted to move the notes from my old Huawei Ascend P6 to my new (non-Huawei) phone that uses a different Notes/Memo app. My solution was to create a backup using Huawei's custom "Backup" app on the phone (selecting only the Notes app as a source, and disabling Encryption) and then copying the backup .zip file off the SD card onto my PC. On the PC, unzipping the backup showed that it contained a "notepad.db" file in SQLite 3 format. Using a SQLite DB browser tool, I was able to extract the notes.
Obviously this won't work if you can't still use the phone. I never found out exactly where the Notes app stores its data in the normal Android file structure. I searched the phone's internal storage for a notepad.db file, but I didn't see one, so maybe it's hidden/encrypted by default.

So a bit of background.
I updated to lolipop about 2 months ago to make the notification about it go away. I was having stability issues, and wifi connectivity problems, but i wanted to wait til i was home fro school so i would have time to take care of it.
So i rooted my phone (LG G3 LS 990 using ting), and backed up my data. I used Helium on my phone and pc, as well as titanium backup, and the default LG software, so i have one copy of all my data on my pc.
So i did the factory reset.
redownload helium on the phone and try to restore apps and such. It says there was no backup ever made ( i made two, and it took like 20 minutes each so i know there were)
So i tried Titanium. It also does not register my backup as being made. So i go to the LG backup, and it only lets me restore from another lg phone for whatever reason...
THe files are on my PC as a .lbf (i hadnt seen that file extension before)
How do i get pictures, messages, and app data from that file to my phone?
Prompt help is requested, and will be greatly appreciated.
I figured out how to fix it. had to move the .lbf file into a folder on the phone and then open it inside the LG recovery tool
Hello,
I lost my LG G3 on Friday. Used Android Device Manager but no use. Some stuff on the micro SD but at least they can't get in the phone! Also used location services but still no luck. Had to pay for a new LG G4 but lost some of my photos and contacts. Tried using LG backup but it doesn't even go past 1%. Is it not working? Is there another app I can use to save everything?
I have dropbox and a box account. Can I backup to these?
Dropbox and Box do not need a backup, since they automatically blow everything into the cloud space. Install the apps, login and everything will be there.
For contacts you need to have every contact synced with google and you will have them all back on any new phone.
For the rest, uhm, no root, no backups atm without any work, learn from the adb backup threads all over XDA how to backup stuff.
LG backup works fine for me. I even used it to transfer all programs / settings / files from my G2 to the G4.
Why people don't have contacts synced with Google and photos synced with Google Photos is beyond me.
Yesterday I bought LG G3 to my wife, so question is how to transfer application's data from Samsung S4 mini to new LG G3?
SMS and Call log were simple ...
But I'm fighting with application's data for last 24 hours.... but nothing :crying:
Conditions:
- S4 mini > rooted
- LG G3 > new, not rooted and I do not want to void warranty first day
- SMS and Call log successfully transferred
- all apps installed without their data
I already tried:
- LG Backup - but it does not backup apps, neither app's data
- Titanium Backup - root required
- FULL BACKUP - root required
- Easy Backup & Restore - root required
- App Backup & Restore - root required
- Ultimate Backup - root NOT required, but it backup only app's apks, but not app's data, so seems like the root required too
- Helium - root NOT required
> first problem - run on S4mini and made backup of apps and app's data, but folder "user data" is empty
> second problem - when I started it on G3 .. I got only popup "you have to active it on PC"? Why I don't have same popup on S4mini?
> third problem - I installed Carbon / Helium Desktop does not see the G3, It stated: Connect your mobile via USB
> forth problem - The "USB debugging" is allowed on G3, but popup "you have to active it on PC" is still there
I don't want void warranty first day, also it's my first experience with LG mobile.
Questions:
- if I would root G3 is it possible to un-root it, so it won't be possible to find that G3 was rooted???
- how to transfer app's data without root???
Thank you very much
Just download the LG backup tool from the play store.
You can transfer the data directly.
Rgds
LG backup does not transfer app´s data
It is written also on the Play store...
Movable Data:
Contact, Calendar, Bookmark, Message(SMS), Photo, Video, Music, Documents, Voice Memo
Contact - done by Google sync
Calendar - done by Google sync
Bookmark - dont care
Message(SMS) - done by SMS backup
Photo - on the sdcard (not necessary to transfer)
Video - on the sdcard (not necessary to transfer)
Music - on the sdcard (not necessary to transfer)
Documents - dont care
Voice Memo - dont care
But nothing about app´data... like Viber/Skype conversations. and games progress
If you were to root your device you could unroot it by flashing stock firmware with LG flash tool. It will leave no traces of root as it will reflash your entire device.
I don't know how to transfer apps data without root. My knowladge tells me that you can't write to data partition without root but I just tried Helium app without giving it root access and it did its job without issues.
I installed Helium, installed the desktop suite for it, connected device, backed up data of an app to my external sdcard, unistalled the app I previously backed up, installed it again from play store, verified that I am no logged in it (it was kik messenger app), went back to Helium and restored apps data. After runing the app again it was logged in with all the conversations like before. Idk what error you get when you run Helium.
I never used it myself, but you can try Holo Backup, seems easy to use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091047
The download link in the thread is not working, download here:

Thank you.
I will try connect G3 to the different PC then as seems like it Helium doesn't like the laptop.
If it will not work ... I'm going for root and use Titanium, as till now...
Thank you.
I will try this too.
