*Ps: in the ZIP i have this files: system.transfer.list , system.patch.dat , file_contexts , boot.img and the system, META-INF folders.
Do i have to delete any file before flashing the zip?

nope you just need to wipe data and cache after that install this zip and if you want it include gapps too, after all installed successfully turn on your phone wait it. for first boot it take a while and if this very longer / stuck in black screen turn off your phone and flash the boot.img from this zip with fastboot mode from your phone and turn on again and it will be worked
And how do i acess recovery to install the rom? Do i need to flash a custom one? And so when before flashing do i have to delete any of those files that are in the root of the zip? And the boot.imh what is, the rom? The recovery?

Yes boot.img is for recovery mode , you need to flash that from fast boot mode after you flash cm12.zip and gapps.zip too and don't forget to wipe data and cache after install both of them
But do i need root to flash the recovery? Isnt impossible to flash the recovery after flashing the new OS? Lolll

Do you really need to open up a thread asking this? Read, read and read again.
the same way you used to flash ics roms.
there is no change of procedure. Since your firmware is updated now. all you need to do is put the zip in sd card.
flash the rom through recovery then flash the boot.img through fastboot
dnt foreget to erase cache.
and reboot. You are done

Yes you need to unlock and have a custom recovery installed. Look at the stickies in the one x android development forum. Bunch of easy to follow guides.

I have problems with the phones USB port and I have to send it to warranty. I'd like to install a stock rom, but I can't use these RUU exe things I've been reading about here in the forums.
Is there a way to install a official rom just like custom roms are installed? Just flashing from a zip? I don't have any old nandroids remaining anymore :/
Thanks in advance!
You could flash a stock ROM, but your phone will still have an unlocked or modified bootloader, so the warranty people will know you messed with it. You need a RUU and/or AAHK to revert completely to stock.
I believe there are pd8img's out there that you can flash via bootloader just like you would flash a radio. It should revert you back to stock.

1. Just put the PD98IMG.zip in the SD card. Don't put it in some folder!
2. Hold VolDown and Power to boot into bootloader.
3. Wait a minute and the phone will ask you to flash this image.
4. Navigate to Yes with the volume buttons and press Power to select
5. The flash should begin and when it's done - you're done. You can now reboot!
*I'm not sure if this method will work for all modded HBOOTs but you can try.
This zip is for 3.12.405.1 WWE

Problem: We can download the firmware from Asus in the form of a zip file. We can use adb sideload <firmware>.zip to sideload the firmware.
Request: How can I flash that firmware using fastboot? It looks like I need to use a .img file. How do I convert that .zip file to a .img file?
Reason: I found a situation where using the sideload method didn't seem to work correctly. I ended up having to get a pre-rooted .img and flashed that, but I want a "virgin" img file. Thanks.
If you install zip from ASUS download site (not OTA!) then you will get virgin stock ROM after update.
This kind of update (around 1GB) erases system partition before install, so it doesn't matter how hard you've modified previous firmware. SU, Xposed, etc - everything will be automatically wiped before install.
The question is how do you convert .zip to .img?

tools to build img from zip (only full ROM, not OTA) published there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/orig-development/rom-pre-root-img-t3079590
But keep in mind, it's for advanced users. I would say, for developers.
Thanks. I asked that nice feller if he was able to do such a thing as I'm not a dev or even well-versed in Linux.
What firmware zip are you looking to flash?
flashing system.img was just temporary solution, as the only way to root or modify firmware before bootloader unlock.
With unlocked bootloader and custom recovery you can modify update.zip as much as you want and then install it.
Even if you don't want to unlock the bootloader, then you can use temporary custom recovery and install any modified zip.
So, in general you don't need to create system.img anymore. Just use zip to install whatever you want.

Hi,
can you make system.img, pre-rooted or not, like @shakalaca?
I tried but I haven't enough knowledge to do, though I tried to install a ghitub, etc, etc.
I would like to download the system.img fro last firmware, Z00A-WW.2.19.40.22.
Thanks
Hey,
Quick question, I'm away on holiday and had to use an RUU to reset my phone completely back to stock. I don't have my PC with me but was wondering if there might be any other way to get TRWP installed so I can get back to custom ROM's before the end of my trip?
Regards,
Ravi

I've described how to do this for CM-based ROMS with Samsung devices. Unfortunately, I know of no way to do this for the HTC 10. The issue is getting it rooted. My understanding is that the Sunshine app can root some 10s, but not all. You could try that. When you run the app it will do a series of tests on your device. If it cannot be rooted by the app it will give the message, "Root is required first." Otherwise, the app can root your device and proceed from there. Once rooted you could then use Flashify to install TWRP.

Thanks guys!!
I'm trying to figure out, if I want to flash just the recovery with the no wipe zip, can I delete all the other .img files within the zip or do I have to edit the Android-info.txt for the corresponding lines?
No issue in flashing the no wipe file as it is, just curious for future reference if I wanted to create easy 2PS6IMG.zip's in the future.
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA Labs
I simply take the firmware.zip from OTA, delete all .img files, rename twrp.IMG to recovery.IMG and repack it to 2PS6IMG.zip
You don't need to change the android-info.txt as partitions without images won't get wiped, even if it says so.
You can flash Boot, Recovery and..... And.... Which was the third one? Without S-Off or signed firmware package.
hey! iam new into the root wolrd...

Than i still have twrp installed.. (Tried this a long time ago..) and than i cant install the ota.. Is there a zip with the original recovery..? Retue
My recommendation usually is not to flash twrp at all. Just use fastboot boot when needed. Disadvantage is that you don't have it handy if you're not at your computer, and you need the cable any time you want to start twrp.
Original recovery is contained in the stock ROM archive. Just flash only recovery. You can take the command from any guide how to flash stock ROM. But you need the one that is delivered with your software version. That's why I recommend not to flash twrp, if you want to do OTA it can be a hassle to find the right original recovery.
When you flash the original ROM it will have the stock recovery which will bring back your ota ability. Stock recovery is flashed by, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
