Request - Hidden menu on KK AOSP - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there,
I know KK isnt all that popular these days and development on the AOSP KK front has all but stopped, but I just cant seem to let go of Xposed.
Anyway, is there anybody out there willing to devise a way to get into the LG hidden menu on a D855?
('cause Im on BUMPED Liquid Smooth and no hidden menu for me nor was there on any previous KK AOSP ROMs I had)
I'm not a developer so some good soul did try to help me with this by extracting dialer(?) stuff from a stock rom and packing them to a zip for me to flash, but sadly it didnt work
So I'm pleading to you kind hearted brilliant masses for help.
Thanks.

Is anyone having issues flashing Aroma ROMs on 4.4.2 Rooted?

This is my device at this point:
1. Rooted 4.4.2
2. Stock T-Mobile ROM
3. I can flash SinLess ROM v2.1.2 with no issues after reboot
ANY Aroma ROM I try to flash (for example, DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6), after reboot after installing results in a bootloop at the Samsung screen.
Are NONE of the Aroma ROMs not working on the T-Mobile Note 3?
I would really like to flash the DARTHSTALKER_NOTE3_V6 but can't if I can't get past the Samsung screen on a bootloop.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Darthstalker is a 4.3 base ROM. It won't work on a 4.4 bootloader, which is what you have if you took the OTA or flashed the Odin 4.4 package. It's not Aroma, it's just that most of the Aroma installer ROMs haven't been updated to 4.4 yet. And Samsung made the bootloader incompatible, so once you are on 4.4, you can't boot a 4.3 ROM.
Same with recovery. Make sure you flash 4.4 bootloader versions of TWRP/CWM or it won't boot.
so what IS a 4.4.2 with Aroma and NOT AOSP?

Thank you for the insight, I was seriously under the (wrong) impression that DeathStalker was a 4.4.2 ROM. I really didn't know.
IS there a list of 4.4.2 stock rooted ROMs with Aroma? You wrote "most of the Aroma installers haven't been updated to 4.4 yet." Which have? It's very confusing because honestly, i was looking and didn't see that DeathStalker was a 4.3 ROM. I went back and looked and noticed a bunch of JB stuff in the list of enhancements which gave it away.
Well, if anyone can suggest a good stable 4.4.2 ROM with Aroma and not AOSP, I want to keep the SPEN functionality that is still missing in CM. Although I do LOVE CM. Used it religiously on my S3.
thank you in advance.
I honestly don't know of any that have. Any reason you want an Aroma installer? It's not like you see it after the install is done. Most modded stock ROMs will list the "base" ROM they started from in the OP. Check that, and if it's a 4.4 base, it will likely work fine on your 4.4 bootloader phone. There's going to be a bit of a rough patch for a while as the ROMs get updated and users get updated. You just have to read up on each one to verify before installing. Just do a thread search for "bootloader" or "4.4" and read some of the posts. Chances are, it's been asked and answered in the thread if you look.
I'm just running a rooted stock build without Knox/CIQ, the stock ZIP that teshxx posted in the dev forum. Then just used Titanium Backup to un-install any bloatware I didn't want. Add a few Xposed modules, and it's a quite good ROM.
If you like CM, the SPEN does work. It acts a bit like a mouse. It's the built-in apps that don't work. You can replace the functionality of many of them. But if you really like some of them, that's not a great option. I ran CM/AOSP builds for a while, but decided the stability of a stock ROM was more important to me right now. I'll probably be back on CM after a while. I like the speed boost from the slimmer ROM.
Awesome reply

What a thoughtful and excellent reply. Thank you very much. I'm looking at MyROM Revolution and may download that.
Honestly, I wanted Aroma because it seemed so much more customizable upon installation rather than taking the vision that a dev had for the ROM they created. I may well be wrong and thank you for the update on CM and SPEN, good to know. I just didn't check out the official CM thread as I had heard no SPEN support yet.
I'm running Sinless ROM and while good, it has a certain non-customizable feel to it. Just looking for something lighter, just not as light until everything is stable of CM.
thank you and if anyone has any suggestions for any 4.4.2 ROMs with (or without) Aroma please pass them on.
Is there a list of 4.4.2 ROMs that are compatible?

A few questions:
1. Where is the international forum for the Note 3?
2. Where can I find a link to the X-NOTE ROM? (I searched at the top-level of T-Mobile Note 3 forums and found nothing in results)
**UPDATE: IS THIS THE FORUM? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301
3. Is the international X-NOTE ROM compatible with the T-Mobile device and if so, what is lost/not working in the international version that exists in the T-Mobile version?
thanks in advance.

It's that one. N look at there questions&answers thread has how to flash it basically download wifi nfc blue tooth fix and wootevers kernel. Wipe of course. Flash rom(CSC is default and also choose NO kernel) one done go on and flash wootevers kernel then the wifi fix. Zip should be a go I did it reverse and wifi was bad flashed it again all gravy
---------- Post added at 08:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:39 PM ----------
Oh also the side effect I had. It deleted everything in my internal so make sure you put the kernel and wifi fix on ext SD so you'll hace it available. You'll eventually get your pictures back and music too but not 3rd downloads from the net or apps like wallpapers of screen shots. Be aware

KitKat or Lollipop?

Hey guys, fairly new here, but I wanted to ask some people's opinions because I'm not so sure.
As the thread's name says, I'm torn between Lollipop and KitKat. At the moment I'm on KitKat, running stock ROM and Rin Kernel, rooted with TWRP.
I was previously on Lollipop but I decided to switch back to KitKat PURELY because of the soft keys (yes, I know) and the amazing G3 Tweaksbox by Pierandra Toti. (I think I spelt it right, not sure. Sorry if it's wrong.)
If you recommend me staying on KitKat, what would you recommend I change? At the moment I'm not entirely sure, because Lollipop's UI is a lot cleaner, and a bit faster in my opinion.
Please help me! ?

My opinion is this, I love lollipop because the phone seems faster and the battery life is way better and the new UI is pretty sweet. I run stock debloated rooted Rom because I love stability with a few tweaks to make it a bit faster. Tweaksbox now works for lollipop so that's great for customization. The only way I would tell you to stay on KitKat would be because the WiFi calling is sketchy with lollipop. With kitkat all Xposed modules work, as with lollipop not all work but all the once I use on KitKat work on lollipop. There's a list somewhere on XDA that will show you which ones work and which dont? Backup kitkat including efs and stick with lollipop a couple of weeks and see if you like it. ?

I think I might try Lollipop again, seeing as I switched back go KitKat just after root became available for Lollipop.

try it out but make sure to backup your Rom after flashing Xposed as some modules bootloop your device, but most of them are stable by now.
The softkeys take a little getting used to (LG making them oversized doesnt really help that ).
Other than that, I think the benefits of Lollipop in general, outweigh KitKat. Performance is notably smoother and battery life has been better in my experience.

If you change the stock DPI to 530 or 560 (mine is 530) everything gets a hell of a lot smaller

Well, I literally spent the whole day trying to install TWRP on my phone but I couldn't figure it out 'cos I'm stoopid. Someone post some sort of super easy guide and I'll go back to Lollipop. (I really want to go back to Lollipop!)

Kitkat!!! I upgraded my phone to 5.0.2 and it is the worst decision i have ever made stay on kitkat lolipop will rape your phone
Just an update, guys. Thanks for all your help, I decided to flash CloudyG3 straight from KitKat, and it is better in every way. If I did something seriously wrong there, help me out and tell me if I was supposed to update via LG's PC Suite and then flash.

Can anyone enlighten my view on this phone?

Hello, name's Mike, have been in the android side for a while and it's my first time actually owning an US version of a phone, the N900T (T-Mobile Note 3) running 5.0 stock TW. (I don't live in the US)
So please, enlighten me!
ROOT AND RECOVERY
I have tried to root it and did it successfully, however when I tried to get a custom recovery on it, I only got boot loops so far, tried various tutorials, none of them have yet worked out for me.
CUSTOM ROMS
Are there any current custom rom development for this phone? I've seen lots of KK roms but I was looking to get a stable lollipop AOSP like rom like CM12 but without crashes or battery drain. Does anyone know any good roms that are stable?
PORTING
Also! How do you port a N9005 rom to a 900T? I've seen some methods by flashing a BT+Wifi fix or something like that but it seems outdated and I don't want to brick my phone just yet.
Please, please help me out, I am really out of it. Used to Custom rom on a Huawei U8650, Galaxy S2 and on my G2, but this is harder due to it being a carrier phone.
Thanks for your comprehension.
Did you download the right TWRP? Get the tar file and odin it.
https://dl.twrp.me/hltetmo/
Did you check the N900T development forum? There is quite a few to select from. I.E. Slim

Sorry can't help you with porting.
