I don't think it is possible for D858 to use the wireless charging. Noted that there is only two contact points, which is used for the coils of NFC. If a machine supports wireless charging, there should be another two contact point that used to connect the coils for wireless charging.
(Yes, I am having a D858 too, and found this out sadly. :crying

D858hk is no wireless charging function....

D855 Qi/NFC back cover compatible w/ US models?

Does D855 model have Qi with the 2/2 pin setup like the US models? Wondering if purchasing a QI/NFC D855 back cover will work with D851. The pins are in the exact same location.

Hey Guys:
Two quick questions:
1. So the D855 is the one with the 4 back pins?
2. Can I get a link to find the Qi and NFC sticker for the d855?
Thanks in advanced!!

[Questions] Regarding the D855 LG3

Good morning.
Im interested in purchasing the LG G3, the version on my country is the D855.
I also want to buy a wireless charger, but does the D855 already have the wireless chip built in the back cover?
And does anyone know a good charger that isnt the official LG G3 wireless charger?
Thanks
No it doesn't, but you can buy the quick circle cover which replaces the back cover too, and that has wireless charging.
As for chargers, I can only give you links to what I've read about as I've never used any.
Anyway, here they are:

I own a D855 and a wireless charger. I do not use it currently, but I have checked and it works.
LG D855 does indeed have Qi wireless charging right out of the box. I currently use it with LG's Qi charger.
More details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2771886
My D855 has wireless charging out of the box (with the standard backplate). I've used it with the LG charger and a Qumox wireless charger. They work generally about the same standard, but make sure you use a charger with a higher amperage such as the one that came with the G3 (1.8A or higher).
One trick I have found to make the G3 charge more reliably when using wireless charging is to have the phone unlocked when placing it on the charger and tapping the screen once it says "Wireless Charging" to stop the screen from timing out automatically. Then leave the phone for a couple of seconds then double tap the status bar to turn off the screen yourself. I find doing it this way avoids the infinite loop of beeps and notifications when done normally (which LG seriously needs to fix)

[Q] d852 to try and use Qi ?

So, I've got a Rogers LG G3 (d852) ... and I've bought a Qi case for it that says it's for the d850 (which the mid frame back has d850 written in various spots). The sticker's contact points line up, but when I put it on a Qi charging pad it doesn't work. Testing out the NFC and it doesn't work either.
Hopefully it's a bum case... But I also purchased a d850 back plate that has NFC and Qi receivers, so I'm hoping those will work.
Doing some research it says the d852 is PMA ... but if I replace the receiver on the back, should it not work with Qi?
Help? What are the differences between the d852 and the d850 (from what I can tell it was which bands the cell operated on and nothing about battery contact points etc...)

I don't think you can just change the charging coil to make Qi work on D852. It seems D852 is missing the Qi charging circuitry inside the phone. Your best bet is get an PMA charging sticker and put it in your back cover to enable PMA wireless charging like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-G3-PMA-W...923?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ed9ec328b
I thought the 'receiver' that's the sticker on the case is the coil, and the leads in on the phone just provide the power.
The extra weird part is that the NFC doesn't work either.
I've ordered a Qi back plate to double check.

That is not true. The coil is just one part of the Qi charging system, it is not the receiver. There is a receiver IC in the phone that does two way communication with the Qi charger via the coil before any charging can happen. Think of the coil as a wifi antenna, and the receiver IC as the wifi card. Without the wifi card, it is pointless to put a wifi antenna there. Your wireless receiver IC is of PMA, and it does not work with a Qi coil.
Now it's funny because I went and called LG tech support yesterday (not saying they're the most savvy folks out there, but you never know).
According to them, the d850 and the d852 are exactly the same (some bands are different for carriers in the US), and even within the d850 line there's PMA or Qi charging backs but the internals are the same (or so they say).

Both phones at the same time? Don't think that exists for QI, since you need one coil per device. You would have to go with 2 separate chargers.
Hello wargreymon89, i mean a charger dock compatible for both devices
Any QI charger is good for it. Just remember that Quick Charge is slower than wired charging, it's about 700 mAh.

LG G4 wireless charging enable?

Hello all,
Is there any way to enable wireless charging on LG G4 DUAL SIM H818
I noticed that LG G4 dual don't have 2 pin like LG G4
Has anybody tried to add Qi wireless charging with a hardware hack similar to http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/accessories/added-internal-qi-charging-to-opo-pics-t2997326 ?
That's a thread where a guy hacked an NFC+Qi coil set plus some electronics into his OnePlus One. That phone has NFC but no Qi contacts. So he added LG G3 coils plus a bit of electronics from a Samsung Qi coil sticker and soldered the 5V output to the contacts of the micro-USB port. I am guessing the same solution must work for the H818 models too as they have NFC and a USB port. You just need to find the space inside the phone to add the additional chip from the Samsung sticker. And you need some soldering and hardware hacking skills.
Anyone tried this on the H818?
