Hi all, sorry for my poor English as i'm not a local. But i hope someone can help me
I had rooted my device by following steps provided by a forum . Then after i rebooted it, it just comes with a white screen, i could neither go into the recovery mode nor the fastboot mode and i thought i might have bricked my phone. Then i have my phone recovered by using something like "shuame" which is a Chinese software.
HERE COMES THE BIGGEST PROBLEM:
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
My original model : M8y (unroot) (unlock) (s-on)
Model it defined now: M8w (rooted) (unlock) (s-on)
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
And when I scrolled down the status bar, it's not as same as what i could see before root. And my heart is broken now :crying: , I hope if an expert could help me to make M8w back to M8y. This is what i can see from bastboot mode:

Hello everyone!!
I can't remember how long ago I custom flashed my device, but I've had to recently go back to it, and need to clearly update somethings on it (apart from poor performance, I want it to feel new again).
So ... Some help please.
I've tried to put a new HBOOT onto it.
Here are the stats from the bootloader:

I think what the problem IS is that I flashed it with a rom that now calls the device "EVITA" ... and I don't know how the heck to change it.
If someone could point me in the correct direction, that would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
(Not sure what the custom rom is, but I'm going to guess codenameandroid)
Thank you!
And yes, I'm sure I'm on the HTC One X (Rogers Version)

So yesterday i bought myself a new HTC ONE phone from Egypt, the original owner used it for just 48 hours then sold it. When i received it i found the SuperUser installed and the OTA updates were not installing sin11ce the phone has been modified.
I followed a tutorial on XDA about getting back to stock rom and after flashing custom recovery and moving the stock rom to SD card i flashed it from recovery and it failed in the process.
Now the phone just boots into recovery, can anyone please post me a quick tutorial on getting the stock firmware back? i would really appreciate it.
Here is the info from the recovery:

Are you stuck in recovery or the bootloader screen??? Do you get any options in the screen the phone boots into??

My bad. Didn't realize it was international version.
DO NOT follow the link above to return to stock!
You do not have a Verizon HTC One.
You have an International model and would find more relevant info in your specific device variants forums here.
Sounds like you flashed a Rom not meant for your variant.
Good luck! :good:
Hey,
I'm a bit confused on how to update my ViperOneM8 Rom to the newest version.
When I got my One, I rooted it, unlocked the Bootloader via HTCdev and managed to get it to be S-Off.
I installed the ViperOne Rom Version 1.8.0 and since then, I haven't touched it.
Now I'd like to upgrade it to the newest version but I'm kind of confused about having to update my firmware and so on. Before I do something stupid and break my device, I figured it would be better to just ask for advice here
I'm especially unsure about which firmware (if any) I have to flash (considering that the device was bought in Germany and has had a Vodafone branding) and how to do this.
Here is all the information from the Bootloader:

since you are S-OFF then you better update the firmware using NOWIPE zip file, you can get the info from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/development/progress-fuu-m8-t2813792
(make sure you choose the right nowipe zip file)
Then from the bootloader, go to recovery (it's installed by the firmware automatically) and install the Viperone rom 3.10 (make sure you put that zip file in your sd card before you start)
thanks
Hey Guys,
I have to send my Desire 816 back to HTC for repair.
I get streaks in the screen and when I push on the screen it disappears, so seems a problem with the cable.
I have just one question, as I've rooted my phone in the past, my HBOOT now says this:
*** Software status: Official ***
*** RELOCKED ***

HBOOT-3.19.0.0000

OS-2.34.401.1
eMMC-boot 1536MB

Would my device be repaired under warranty? As it says relocked and not locked?
Kind regards,
Vincent

I'm not 100% sure but I think you need s-off to get plain "locked" status. They may still honor the warranty, I suggest reading the fine print. Best of luck to you!

Hi @Vinny1994 I got a similar issue and need to repair my phone.
I was rooted and need to get the similar HBOOT details (*** Software status: Official *** *** RELOCKED *** )
Can you help me to do so. Point me a stock recovery link too if possible.
Many thanks..
Hello,
I got TWRP on my phone, wich was running on marshmallow. I unlocked the boatloader but when i tried to flash a rom, the phone kept rebooting without launching the rom. I'm actually in a dire need of help. I actually just want my phone to work again.
Aswell, i would like to know if i can flash a stock rom 5.0 lollipop on my phone and then flash a custom rom in 5.0 ?
